Best massage in Anaheim, hands down. The place is on the second floor and there's plenty of parking, which already made things easy.(By In and Out) The lady owner (I think she's the owner) was super sweet, especially to my daughter, which I really appreciated. It instantly made us feel comfortable and welcome. The masseuse who worked on me was AMAZING. The pressure was strong--exactly how I like it--but still very relaxing at the same time. You know that kind of massage that's hard but makes you feel so good after? That's exactly what this was. I walked out feeling relaxed, relieved, and definitely planning to come back. Highly recommend. read more

Soul Spa is not for me. No ma'am. I knew that it wasn't going to be, but it was the evening of Mother's Day, it was super last minute, it was nearby, and I was desperate due to feeling extra CRUNCHY. When I called and they gave me the green light to head over, I did. There was little by way of greeting or direction due to the language barrier. There was what appeared to be a used hot towel left on a stand in the room, so not a great first impression at all. And the sheets felt...moist. There was an overall humidity in the environment that felt off putting. The massage itself was that of a human massage chair. Just mindless kneading with no regard for where the knots were. If I had to fake being a massage therapist, I might have been able to do a better job. When she asked if the pressure was okay, I asked for deeper. She acknowledged me, but no adjustments were ever made. And I really can't stand any type of massage that concludes with wake up slaps and/or a variation of karate chops. I really can't. At some point in the massage, the door was left open. I don't know if it's part of a sketchy policy, but someone else mentioned it in their review too. Soul Spa was a one and done for me. I don't think I would return no matter the level of desperation. Disclaimer: I am, without a doubt, super picky with my massages. Hence, the three stars to adjust for that. read more

The massage is great especially for the price but I just kept praying they don't have hidden cameras as the towel kept coming off and the way my body was being jerked around, it felt like I was giving a free show... read more

Service was excellent! I will however deduct a star for the following: I did not especially care for their "Tip Chart". Their tip category calculations were very inaccurate and somewhat tacky. I felt embarrassed/ uncomfortable to only tip 20% while the therapist who did my massage stood there and watched so I upped it to 25% which only landed in the very "good" category not "great". The following tip description is from Google: "Tipping Guidelines: Standard Service (Good): 15%. Excellent Service (Great): 20% or more (up to 25-30%). If using a coupon/discount: Tip 20% on the original, full price, not the discounted price, as the therapist did the same work." read more

Soul Spa best spa I've ever been to very clean and staff very nice. I recently had a back massage about a week ago had some pain in my upper left back and Sofia was amazing she got the knots out and my pain was gone. I will be returning this week to start the new year relaxed read more

Terrible. Used the bathroom and someone knocked on the door every 30 seconds demanding that I unlock the door.

I have been coming here for years and this is hands-down. The best place to get a massage! Consistency year after year and fantastic, relaxing environment as well as fantastic massages! The mood is always set calm they always ask you your comfort with pressure and any spots of concern, and make sure that you're okay during period I don't think I'll ever be able to go to another place! read more

I'll start with the good. Place was clean and the 30min back massage for $40 was a 4 star. Now the bad. My massage therapist asked if I would like to add another 30min, for the whole hr. I agreed, but she charged me an extra $20 when an hr is supposed to $55. Then she left the door open and proceeded to continue massaging my back for another 10min. I could not relaxe with people walking by, door open, no curtain. She then has me turn over and proceeded to massage my face and scalp for 5min, shoulders and arms for 5min. Then says time Is up. Back massage good, but a very poor setup. I left feeling disappointed that I was unable to relaxe or get the full body massage that I paid for. I still gave her $20 tip, even though I felt dissatisfied with the whole experience. Who leaves door wide open without a privacy curtain for a full body massage? read more

This is my favorite massage spa. I come weekly to see Lily and Sophie and I love their massages. They are always attentive and courteous.

Today I had a fantastic massage (60 minute combo) at a very reasonable price. Lily was wonderful! One of the best back massages I've had in recent memory. The spa is conveniently located, very clean, nice ambiance, and ample parking. Highly recommended! read more

Every time we have an amazing experience. We come with family and friends visiting from other states. Can't beat the price.

I've tried other massage places but always return to this one. Lily really made sure she worked out the knots and tension in my upper back and shoulders. I left feeling so much better. read more

Very happy with my massage. I was definitely skeptical, but left 100% happy. It's clean, and You can't beat the price!! It happened to be my birthday that day and even tho it was my first time... she gave me $10 off. I was blown away and will be back regularly. read more

Great place near my house for a much needed massage! Great prices. I paid $60 for a 90 minute private full body massage. She targeted the areas that I specified needed attention and used the right amount of pressure. Covid19 protocols were in place. Masks were used by both me and the masseuse. Temperature taken and hands washed prior to the massage. I booked an appointment and was the only one there so they may be limiting capacity. read more

I had the 90 min combo with added body and foot scrub for $85 total with Lisa. She really worked my shoulder blades and my knots. A pet peeve of mine at Asian spas is when they massage way too long with the blanket (feels like atleast half the session usually) and I can not wait until they start using oil. Lisa just warmed up with the blanket massage, just the perfect amount of short time before applying oil. She also used hot stones at the end and then the scrub after that. It was perfect and I felt so relaxed, really needed that today. Thank you! I will be coming back. read more

Came on Friday afternoon without an appointment. Happy they were able to take me. Clean place. Very polite. Lily was FANTASTIC! She listened to my complaints and then let her fingers to the walking for 75 minutes. I asked for deep tissue and she certainly obliged. One of the best massages I've had in a while. I've had back and neck fusion surgeries and she knew how to work around all the hardware. I don't live in the area, but I would certainly consider driving out occasionally just to get a massage here. Highly recommended. read more

It was very good experience. It was good staff and they are knowledgeable. Very effective stretches at end.

Two words, terrible massage!! I get massages quite often, about twice a month. I tried this place out because I was in the area and what a disappointment. The energy was bad, the place was empty, and all the lady did was try to upsell me throughout the massage from the moment I walked in! She was absolutely terrible stay away from this place at all cost. Total waste of $60! read more

Finally got a very therapeutic massage! Sonny has been around for over a decade and has always done such a fantastic job massaging me. I've had a chronic back issue for right around ten years and J Spa massage therapy has helped me tremendously. I always get the hour long full body massage and discuss at the beginning where my problematic issues are. Sonny is great! Always helps work out my lower back issues. The added hot rocks are amazing as well. it's an extremely difficult job to be a masseuse, and I'm so very happy to see that J Spa is open again after these difficult times. See you next week! Thanks again J Spa! Mark read more

I'm so lucky to find this place and meet Nancy！It's only 5 minutes away from my home and it's on the 2nd floor, so it's very quiet and makes me relax. I highly recommend it! Deep tissue 90 minutes + hot stones and body scrubz！BEST！ read more

Wow I'm surprised this place has such good reviews. Maybe I came on the wrong day. I did the 30 min foot massage. I was asked to tip before the massage.. I said I would pay before but I'm going to tip after and she looked at me like I was crazy. Then the massage literally ended early .. by the 20 minute mark she was starting to dry off my feet and legs. Will not be coming back here. read more

I informed Yelp of the new owner and new name, but they didn't bother updating the information. The location and the phone number are the same, but everything else changed. Massage was okay with hot stones, but nothing to write home about. I used to love Sunny and Wendy who took care of my needs, but I don't know if I will return under the new owner. read more

Soul Spa - New owner, new prices. - Massage Near Me - Anaheim, California

Decided to try this place out as I have passed by it multiple times in the In n out parking lot. It's located upstairs above To-go's. I called ahead and they were able to get me in within 20 minutes of me calling. I got the 90 minute massage which consisted of 60 full body and 30 minute foot massage. The price was very reasonable at $70 and they accepted credit cards. I will definitely be returning! read more

My husband and I have been coming here since they opened 4 years ago. Absolutely love it! We have frequent a ton of spas and for the price and quality, this place can't be beat. $35.00 for one hour. They take the full hour and I feel great afterwards. I have referred many friends here because we love it so much. Sure, it's not fancy, there's no sauna, showers, steam room or relaxation room but for the price I can come here 2-3x. A month vs paying $150 at Burke Williams. Lastly, they always provide same day appointments and I have never had a hard time getting in. Just tell your therapist what type of pressure and they will adjust according to your needs. read more

My daughter bought me an hour massage gift card at Soul Spa. I used it yesterday for a massage with Sophia. As a chronic lower back pain sufferer, along with sciatica, Sophia must be a "back whisperer"! Even today the pain is gone. I have never had such great results results like this with a previous massage. Thank you Sophia for your expertise and techniques that really worked. I will be back soon. read more

I used to go here when it was J Spa and I loved Sunny. But I am really pleasantly surprised with Sophia. She really knows what she's doing. And I've had a lot of massages in my lifetime. You can tell her where you're hurting and she gets in there and relieves your pain. Soul Spa is clean, quiet, the soft music is pleasant, you don't hear people in the other rooms, and it is very reasonable. I received an hour massage for $50 and I left a 20% tip. I can usually get in the same day I call. Check it out! read more

I've been going to this place for over 4-5 years. Mainly 2 reasons, 1.very clean and specially now because of Covid (smells with the sanitizer) they're taking extra precautions! 2. Wow. You won't believe this. Having two little one of my few chances to get a break, I get an hour massage once every few weeks. Having been to this spot a few years ago, I remember that it was an above average, good quality massage so I went in this time expecting good things! Never mind the strange cultural nuances that I was greeted with (the masseuse's hands smelling like stinky Asian fruit and once confirming I could speak Mandarin, asking me why I looked so tired in Mandarin), I was okay with all this. Stinky fruit? Reminds me of my mom and dads house! No worries! Inappropriate comments in Chinese? I feel right at home. I was ready to put this all past me given I knew this was a no frills inexpensive massage. But the massage itself was God awful. . After a few polite pointers of what I generally like, she proceeded to slip gobs and gobs of oil on me, to the point that awkward slopping sounds were being made. I felt uncomfortable at the noise of it. Then, when reminding her that one of my early pointers was that she need only focus on the gluts on up, as she started to massage my legs, she responded with 'don't worry- I know what I'm doing- it feels good right?' The answer was a resounding NO! I've had better massages from the massage chairs at nails salons. She had very jerky and choppy movements and she used her nails! I could feel her nails! . I felt bad and by this point and was debating whether or not to leave. It was becoming a stressful experience, not enjoying the massage, and feeling awkward both physically and emotionally. I built up the courage to politely tell her I wanted to end the massage early and just get up. I fully intended on still paying the full rate plus a modest tip. I had never done this before, but I wasn't enjoying it and in fact, it was turning into a negative experience. She responded regretfully and pressed me urgently to please continue on with the massage, and asked for more pointers. I felt badly, thinking of the lady, who probably needed the money. So I decided to let her continue and just told her that I liked the movements slower (my euphemism for less jerky). She tried for a bit but then it just devolved back to the same choppy, naily movements. I'm so sad. So this is when it got rich. The massage finally came to an end. My masseuse checked me out instead of the lady who greeted me. I told her to add a 10% tip. (My standard place up in LA, I usually give a 30% tip. Shout out to Massage Place Encino and Tarzana! ). She then had the gall to get wide eyed and state that a 20% tip was the minimum. She only backed down when I asked to speak to the manager. Such a bad experience. I'm so sad about it. Anyone who reads this, if you can recommend any cheap massage places in the area, I'd be really grateful. Otherwise, next time I'm down here, I guess I'll have to fork out for Massage Envy. No Massage Place down here. read more

I know this place had decent reviews, but, unfortunately, we didn't experience the same and had TERRIBLE customer service. The broad at the desk was so damn bothered by having customers go in. I had to be the one to initiate the "hello, welcome " greet, because she didn't even bother acknowledging us. After I greeted her, she didn't bother greeting back, instead she quickly and repeatedly said "full, come back later" "full, come back later" (with a rude tone). I told her we didn't mind waiting if it'd be 30-40min. she just cut me off and repeated the same bullshit. I asked her 'what time later? ' she said "after 3".....we had arrived at noon, we didn't make an appointment because their bullshit pamphlet said "walk-in welcome " (TOTAL BULLSHIT") We ended up going to PALM MASSAGE on Imperial (placentia/brea). GREAT service and CHEAPER priestess than this shit joint. read more

Bad service from the start. Walked in there was no one at the desk, so I waited...waved at the camera, called the number told her I was there at the front door she said ok...waited, waved at the camera again, then heard someone on an intercom tell the staff to come up front as I was getting ready to leave. The massage was so-so, she never adjusted the pressure when I asked. The bed was hard and hurt my face. Then I was still going to tip 20% and she started debating it with me and trying to act like she didn't know math. Then charged an extra $5 bucks and tried to act like that made sense. I wrote out the math on the receipt, she got the manager, who told her to go change to pay me the over charge in cash. Never going back! read more

Chairs are really uncomfortable, they charge you $35 for a foot massage while the poster on their window says $25. Gets up in the middle of the massage to go talk to other people. The chairs sit straight up and they are unable to recline them because they are pushed against a wall. Try somewhere else and you will thank yourself. read more

It's on the second floor above Togo's, in the In and Out plaza. We made reservations because we called the night before and they couldn't accommodate us. With reservations, they greeted us at door and took us right in. First, we sat in a room with big leather recliners to get our foot massages. Then they take you into a room where you get your massage on a massage bed. Now from the moving from one place to another, I feel they jip you on the full timing of the massages. However, the massages were pretty good. I'm used to all the foot massage places in all the asian areas and J Spa definitely has tried to deferentiate themselves from the rest. However, they need to learn some manners. If the massage is $50 and you get tipped $10 then you got a 20% tip. It's very rude and unprofessional to ask for more. Which in this case they did. They even gave me a lecture (probably thought I was really young) about giving $20 tip in the future. I wanted to give them a lecture about the definition of tip and what that means. For that, they dropped a star in their rating. I wouldn't come back. This place probably is more attractive to non-Asians because to them, it's cheap. However, if you yelped a few more places in Garden Grove and Westminister, you can have the same quality for much cheaper.. cheaper like $20! read more

They give a great massage, I had Keke, and went in for a 90 minutes. It was a very nice massage and Keke listened to me about the pressure I was comfortable with. It was a very nice massage. I gave a 2 not because of the massage but because I clearly stated that she add a $20 tip to the credit card charge and she added $23. I would've assumed this was a mistake made but I heard them speaking in mandarin saying to make the overall charge $103 and I was fine with that, thinking they were going to claim credit card charges or something, but when I went to sign the credit card slip she covered up the amount with her finger as if she needed to to hold the paper down. I could see the 03 and knew she was going to charge more but I didn't really care for the deception over $3. I was actually thinking, during the massage, that I was going to start going in weekly but not now. I'm not fond of people being deceptive, but if you want to keep a close eye on what they charge you or pay cash go for it! They give a good massage. read more
