I was left waiting for long periods of time without knowing what to expect; I found out my MT appt. was delayed only after I asked (10 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start). Some staff members offer to refill coffee/tea; some leave that up to clients. In spite of the miscommunication, I left with the impression that staff here aim to please and I'd certainly consider a return visit. The location offers free parking and the RMT room is peaceful and relaxing. Note - the single bathroom offered for client use needs a new toilet seat! Otherwise - everything seems very clean and well maintained.

I had a very serious experience at this salon that left my hair extremely damaged. During my…read morebalayage service, my hair became mushy and gummy when wet, and it was breaking and falling out while the stylist brushed it. I ended up losing a significant amount of length because of the damage, and my hair is still very dry and compromised. The situation was distressing enough that I'm currently exploring my options to address the damage and the cost of repairing it. I expected a much higher level of care and attention during a chemical service. I'm sharing this so other clients are aware and so the salon understands how serious the outcome was for me.

I started going to Renaissance for waxing services after being recommended by a friend. I was told…read moreMichelle is the best and that she would work with my sensitive skin. After my first few appointments I was thrilled with the impeccable service from Michelle and my now flawless eyebrows. One day Michelle noticed my finger nails were pretty ruined from a bad shellac manicure I previously had. She explained to me the nail services she provided and how it is different from typical nail salons. At this point I just wanted my nails to get back to normal then I would think about trying it again. She then recommended a nail serum for me to use to help speed up the recovery - which eventually saved my nails - so now I was willing to try her shellac manicure. Michelle is so detailed oriented and knowledgeable about nails and the shellac process. It's now been many years and I can gladly say I am 100% satisfied with my nails (and all services for that matter) every time. In addition to Michelle all of the staff at Renaissance project a high standard of customer service plus I like that I can conveniently book my appointments by email and always receive a prompt response. Keep up the great customer experience Renaissance!

Maybe some quiet soothing music would help to block out some of the background noise? I would have also liked a bit more checking in about pressure, as I could have used quite a bit more pressure but felt like it was hard to get a word in. The nail colour selection is pretty limited. The nail technicians were very nice and pleasant and easy to talk to, made an effort to make the experience enjoyable. I just wish there were more colour options and more sheer options.

I visited this store recently looking for specific professional hair dye. I am not a licensed…read morehairstylist and wasn't aware that they do not sell their hair dye to a lay person such as myself. This was not my issue however. The staff were not at all compliant with the current rules concerning COVID-19 safety. The store's capacity was over limit and not enforced, and the sales person I dealt with was not wearing an approved mask (she was wearing an open, clear plastic half-face shield that did not cover her nose). This clear flaunting of safety regulations made me question the sanitary nature of the beauty products. I left quickly, without purchase and won't be returning.
