I made my daughter a hair appointment for her birthday with the salon owner, Katarin, who has cut her hair once in the past to fix one of her employees botched cuts and at that time really did a great job. Now moving forward to this one that was a little too technical for her I guess, my daughter has very long hair and she requested long layers with a few face framing and some curtain bangs but wanted to keep the length. She also expressed that she doesn't use heat on her hair so needed something low maintenance. 2 hours and $130 ($15 tip included) She left with what she thought was an ok-ish haircut but not until she got home did she realize how awful it really was. Her hair looked choppy and uneven, her bangs are an absolute disaster and far too short to do anything with and a razor must have been used incorrectly because her hair went from looking super healthy to looking like every hair had split ends. When I was done listening to her cry, I booked her in with my stylist who confirmed my conclusion of a botched job. Feeling that a haircut that should have been simple shouldn't cost me $200, I called the salon to request a partial refund as I did believe that the time put in (albeit, 2 hours on a simple haircut is outrageous in my opinion) I felt she should be paid for partial time, well, She thought different. She told me she did nothing wrong, asked my why my adult daughter isn't calling herself and why she wasn't given the opportunity to fix it. Well I will tell you Katarin, I called and booked the appointment, I paid for the appointment, it was a gift from me and she was unhappy with the cut but has a nice relationship with you so was scared a to offend. Also, in my opinion, why on earth would you go back to someone to fix a mistake they made but still don't see? So you can do irreparable damage??? Makes no sense. Anyway, Katarin started off kind enough to listen but her tone definitely changed as my complaint went on. I guess when it comes to hair and what you want as opposed to what you get at this salon, really is a suggestion rather than a fact or want. We will not be back for another $115 botched haircut and to be questioned rudely by the one who calls the shots.

I happened to walk by and caught sight of the salon as it is my favourite colour. Took it as a sign and booked an appointment with Melanie. I was very clear about my experience and anxiety, but needed the change and confidence with my stylist. My experience with Melanie was beyond what I expected. She took the time to understand my hair journey, my concerns and what makes me uncomfortable. She showed me photos and explained her process BEFORE AND DURING the service. Lucinda washed my hair and provided a scalp massage that was very needed and appreciated. These ladies took time to make me a coffee, provide cookies and make me feel extremely comfortable. From a bad experience to one I won't forget positively, this is my new go-to salon. Thank you, ladies!

As a 1st time client they know how to show you how much you mean to them right off the bat. During non COVID times they treat you with a beverage that you can sip on while they perfect you - even introduced me to my new favorite tea. At the end of that visit, You receive a "gift bag" with all sorts of coupons to use for your next visits - and Yes - you will want to go back! My favorite thing about this Salon is that you can use any stylist (without any unnecessary upset) and still get the same amazing results. Their record keeping is phenomenal and they are always there for each other if there are any questions. Their washing station chairs ROCK - push your remote to put up your foot rest and recline back in your chair so you can fully relax during you head message. The place was well-designed, with manicures set up near the door, and a wall for privacy for people getting their hair done. The hair-washing bowls looked far more comfortable than the standard ones (being tall, I loathe scrunching down to fit in most of them), and there were private rooms to the back of the shop for spa treatments. Elena (I'm sorry if I got this wrong, I am terrible with names!) was a lot of fun to talk to, as well; it seems the art of conversation is something a lot of stylists have lost, but not her. She also gave me some good tips on how to manage my hair in future, things easily done at home. When I need a haircut or a style again, I am definitely going here.

I had gone to another cheaper nail salon and mentioned my ankle and they just ignored it entirely. The ladies at Chic are professional and accommodating. They take a lot of care to make sure you're comfortable and they do a great job. I haven't had hair services here, I mainly have gone for the Aveda Mani/Pedis, they are AMAZING (Lindsay & Meghan are awesome!), I've done the express mani/pedi as well, also great. I've had my brows waxed and a number of elemental facials, all fantastic experiences. The only thing I would say negatively, is that when you're in the back room for a facial, you can hear a lot going on in the salon, so it's not super 'peaceful', but it's still great! I would recommend this salon and spa (and have) to all my family and friends. (I do believe they accept walk-ins, but I always book in advance) - little tip - if you're interested in a Mani/Pedi go to the "Packages" tab on the website and book a "Basics" package, it's an extra couple bucks, but you get an eyebrow wax included. **Update** I have since had my hair styled here for my brothers wedding, they did a great job! I ended up losing a significant amount of length because of the damage, and my hair is still very dry and compromised. The situation was distressing enough that I'm currently exploring my options to address the damage and the cost of repairing it. I expected a much higher level of care and attention during a chemical service. I'm sharing this so other clients are aware and so the salon understands how serious the outcome was for me.

I looked so bad and it was going to take some serious skill to fix it. A co-worker who had beautiful blonde hair recommended Ashley, and I booked right away. Ashley was fully booked but came into work before opening hours to do my hair. So accommodating!! That appointment was the best experience I had ever had with a hairdresser. Not only did she make my hair look amazing, regardless of the horrible shape it was in before, but she was so friendly and hilarious. We had awesome conversation the whole time. I have been seeing Ashley ever since. I now carry around her business cards because I get asked daily who does my hair. She has given me the most amazing platinum blonde, and I always recommend her. Even living in BC now, I wait until I'm back in London to get my hair done by her, because she is the best! Also, Wright Hair & Co. is an amazing salon as a whole. No one is so busy that it takes hours or days to return a phone call for any reason; it is simply inconsiderate and aarogant. They claim to provide "quality service" which apparently does not apply to responding to client phone calls. When calling, a pre recorded message greets you with their hours and a promise to return the call "within a few minutes" but without response which we find likely to be a good indication of what to expect in future! Caveat Emptor
