She knew exactly what I wanted which is rare. It was like she could read my mind! Usually it seems like you're on the same page with your new hairstylist and then damage is done and it's too late to turn back. Not with her!!! She was able to give me the cutest bob and without chopping too much of my hair off... so I guess technically it would be a lob (long bob). She even curled my hair afterwards! On top of that, I was in desperate need for products because using my boyfriend's was just not cutting it. They take a lot of care to make sure you're comfortable and they do a great job. I haven't had hair services here, I mainly have gone for the Aveda Mani/Pedis, they are AMAZING (Lindsay & Meghan are awesome!), I've done the express mani/pedi as well, also great. I've had my brows waxed and a number of elemental facials, all fantastic experiences. The only thing I would say negatively, is that when you're in the back room for a facial, you can hear a lot going on in the salon, so it's not super 'peaceful', but it's still great! I would recommend this salon and spa (and have) to all my family and friends. (I do believe they accept walk-ins, but I always book in advance) - little tip - if you're interested in a Mani/Pedi go to the "Packages" tab on the website and book a "Basics" package, it's an extra couple bucks, but you get an eyebrow wax included. **Update** I have since had my hair styled here for my brothers wedding, they did a great job! I was very clear about my experience and anxiety, but needed the change and confidence with my stylist. My experience with Melanie was beyond what I expected. She took the time to understand my hair journey, my concerns and what makes me uncomfortable. She showed me photos and explained her process BEFORE AND DURING the service. Lucinda washed my hair and provided a scalp massage that was very needed and appreciated. These ladies took time to make me a coffee, provide cookies and make me feel extremely comfortable. I had a very serious experience at this salon that left my hair extremely damaged. I ended up losing a significant amount of length because of the damage, and my hair is still very dry and compromised. The situation was distressing enough that I'm currently exploring my options to address the damage and the cost of repairing it. I expected a much higher level of care and attention during a chemical service. I'm sharing this so other clients are aware and so the salon understands how serious the outcome was for me.
