If you're using mainly electric instruments, isolation is very good in a fairly small space. Because one of the isolation methods is to place amps in individual closets and close mic them, I don't think this space would work well for recording an acoustic group because there are only two rooms. The facility uses pro tools. The owner/proprietor/recording engineer, Benjy, is really good at noticing problems with arrangements that screw up how clean a recording is, particularly when it comes to rhythm. He's also good with timbre issues (like too much distortion on an instrument). We found his observations really helpful. He's also experienced enough to know where some of these problems are likely to come from.
