I explained that a previously hired provider had abandoned the project, leaving my yard in shambles. I shared photos and explained that I needed the situation fixed before it was too late, especially given how much I had already invested in the previous provider. Nick was nothing short of professional. He took on the burden of making things right--not just for me, but in a way that restored my faith in honest, reputable service providers. He even helped me document the issues so I could build my small claims case, all while offering an incredibly reasonable price to fix the mess. I'm sure the job was far more complicated than he anticipated, and he may have barely broken even, but Nick stood by his quote and kept me updated in real time every step of the way. There was never any question about what was being done. He sent his foreman out to assess the job, personally stopped by a couple of times beforehand to check things out, and ultimately started a few days ahead of schedule. The team completed everything in exactly the amount of time Nick said they would. It's hard to find honest, reliable providers these days, let alone someone willing to take the reputation of an entire industry on their shoulders and go above and beyond to do right by a customer. That's exactly what Nick did. I cannot thank Nick and the entire NXT team enough. They turned an incredibly frustrating situation into a positive experience, and I look forward to finding more opportunities to support NXT in the future. I'm not even sure you can do it as economically as letting a pro do it and I attempted it for a number of years. Once I choose to go with pros it really came to down to three things results, the way the lawn looks, price and service. My lawn continues to look great and easy to compare as my neighbor continues to self-treat and it is clearly superior in this side-by-side comparison. Price is what moved from my previous company. Now I'm not saying they are the cheapest out there, but they are clearly in a competitive position in the market. I normally get quotes every three years. Service is always tricky because it means different things to different customers. For me my expectations for my lawn care company are to let me know when they are coming, let me know and provide the services to be delivered, let me know my pricing for the upcoming season. What I don't want is the tech knocking on my door at every treatment wanting to upsell on something, this is what drove my pricing issue with my previous company. Lawnmark delivers all these things! Business relationships are like all relationships at times have bumps in the road. It is how these are handled determines if the relationship will continue forward. This was such a year with us. I got my estimate for the upcoming year and was shocked at the increase. I wrote an email and within 2 days I had a reply. It explained how the bill is prepared and the flexibility I had to modify it to fit my current year's needs, done.
