Oscar responded with clear and reasonable quotes and a 5-wk process time. sofas were picked up as scheduled. since we're trying to save some $ and matching the seat cushion, there were not too many choices of fabric to choose from. and It was hard/expensive to find trims that matched original design of the sofa. Oscar's staff explained and talked me into just doing simple piping along the base and around all the pillows. the day before delivery I called to confirm (I was really worried they won't make it for my party scheduled day after delivery), then again the morning of delivery and late afternoon. they finally delivered around 5pm on delivery day, 2hrs after their closing time. the sofas looked really nice and the simple piping actually enhanced the seat cushions. we really like it. Oscar was very responsive via text. the staffs were all very helpful throughout the process. I would have given them 5-stars if I didn't have to be so nervous the last 2 days worrying they wouldn't make it.

However, most new couches like it are either out of our price range, wouldn't fit through the doors of our house, or are just plain ugly. Rather than buying a new one that we weren't happy with we chose to have Chris restore it. He was able to reinforce the structure, re-stitch a small hole, remove cat scratches, and restore the leather all over. It went from being cracked, scratched and just generally worn down to looking like new. Debating whether or not to hire him? Just do it! You will be happy with the results.

He previously had told me he wanted me to find a good, affordable small family business that would fix or replace our Riviera's headliner's sagging ways. There! I didn't have to do "research" for him on Yelp anymore *phew*. He ditched me to talk to the guys at Santana's and told me to order some ramen for us. We're still married. Haha, just kidding. It was actually the other way around (I ditched him to order food) because he knows I get very *HANGRY.* Communication was a bit rough at times. I wouldn't get a call back on the day Ramon Santana specified that he'd call us back. But I didn't get frustrated because eventually some younger folks - possibly his adult kids - started calling. We probably compared at least 50 swatches to get this right. Some Ramon had to ask his suppliers for more samples because McDreamee and I were so picky. Lol. It's a small shop. Ramon and his swell crew stay busy with headliners for older cars like ours and reupholstering chairs for dining tables and such. If Ramon doesn't have it in stock, he tries his hardest to find a match or something very close. The deal we got for the headliner alone was sweet - way more competitive than another place just up the road plus Santana's time frame was one business day. The other dudes wanted to keep the car for days. Our new headliner looks real sharp. McDreamee wants to go back for more work, but this was a priority. Dropped the car off at 10 a.m. and it was ready for pick-up by 2 p.m. the same day (8/22/19).
