I had a Caesar salad and a large pepperoni pizza. Both were so delicious and very generous portions. Next time I will have to try a pasta dish. Their menu is not limited to pizzas and pasta - they have sandwiches, appetizers (including wings, bruschetta and flatbread), soups and salads, and deserts. When I visited, it was very quiet, so the service and food were great - but I'm sure both are great anytime!! A place to visit or revisit.

I asked if the skins were crispy and the waitress said yes however they were anything but. Gotta have crispy skins man!! I would recommend but ask for crispier skins. We had honey garlic and it was tasty! For a pizza we each had a small Canadian and Calabrese. Both were great. The Calabrese was a bit spicy but not too bad. The Canadian was our favourite though. A small pizza would be enough (no appies). We wish we hadn't ordered the wings cuz the last piece was tough to finish LOL! Too much food. Only recommendation I have on the pizzas is to cook them slightly more. I like my pizza dough to be cooked so it's got a snap when u bite it. We will be back!

They serve sparkling water which is amazing but remember everything comes at a price. Two glasses cost me $10, haha. The short rib and steak were delicious and all the other dishes were great too. The only slight disappointment was their old-fashioned cocktail. I don't know what to say but it wasn't surprising and it wasn't 2oz. It was a bit small. The environment was great though, with an open kitchen and a very clean space. We'll revisit.

Very few small pieces of short rib in there though. The accompanying soup was delicious! Creamy Potato. Love that it wasn't too thick and was still brothy. Very flavourful! The restaurant was extremely busy, but we managed to get a table right away. The decor is nice, the ambiance is warm & friendly, and the tables are close together so it feels cozy. The drink special was $2 off caesars, so I had a dill pickle Caesar and a bacon Caesar, both were delicious! Hubby had a beer (boring, I know). I ordered the special which was prosciutto wrapped sole w/pan fried shrimp covered with a buttery white wine sauce and a side of mashed potatoes, asparagus and bacon brussel sprouts. Other than being a touch salty, the meal was delicious! Hubby ordered the veal cannelloni with a side Caesar salad. He also said his dish was a bit over salted. The service from every single staff member we encountered was absolutely top notch! I get why they're so busy here, such a hidden gem. We will most definitely be back!

It is pleasant enough on the inside, but pretty non descript. I wouldn't come here for the atmosphere. However if you like clean open concept this may be a place for you. Our server was friendly and helpful, giving her reccomendations. Menu is diverse with many things to try. But not so many that you are overwhelmed. We decided to split a few things. The Korean Schnitzel - Pork Tenderloin, Asian Slaw, Sweet & Sour Sauce, and Peanuts The Saganaki with Honey, Walnuts, and Lemon and the Happy Burger with Gruyere, Bacon Jam, Pickles, Lettuce, Tomato Food came out in a timely manner. Everything was good, but not standoutish that I would run here again. For sure the best bang for your buck was the korean schnitzel. The thing was massive. It was pleasant. Loved the peanuts and slaw that came with it. The saganaki was tasty. The burger which came highly recommended, was decent but by far, not "one of the best burgers" in Edmonton (That was quoted to us.) I much perfer the one at The Next Act. However it was yummy. If you are in the area it is worth checking out. However I wouldn't drive across the town to come here.

Whatever happened to going out for dinner to relax and enjoy peaceful conversation with friends or family over a nice meal? You have to yell to have a conversation in these places! Not so at Franco's Pizza Callingwood! There's a friendly, family atmosphere and soft Italian music. Yes, located in a strip-mall with convenience stores, medical centre, pot shops and a pharmacy looks a little "iffy". In fact, we moved into the neighborhood 8 months before we thought to give them a try! It was like stumbling onto buried treasure! It's a family owned restaurant in business for many years with a very Italian theme and many Italian dishes along with all the common Western favourites. Having only been there twice, both times we received excellent service from friendly staff. Prices are average and the food superb! The pizza we had our first visit far surpassed any of the chain pizza places and the Italian dishes we had on our second were Che buono! It is a very popular place for take-out and although the front door is near the restaurant area it was not distracting, per se. Our only complaint was the door chime. It was an incessant squeal the whole time the door was open- I think a simple quiet "ping" in the kitchen would be better for your restaurant customers. We will most certainly be back!
