Came back to settle a small payback from an order two months ago, and once again -- consistency speaks volumes. Wilfredo personally prepared and delivered the order, which already says a lot about the level of ownership and pride behind this place. That kind of hands-on leadership shows in the food. We ordered the Birria Pizza and Pepperoni Pizza, and both were phenomenal -- as usual. The crust had that perfect balance: crisp exterior with a chewy center, slight char for flavor, and sturdy enough to hold the generous toppings without collapsing. The Birria pizza is on another level. Tender, flavorful meat layered generously, topped with fresh onions, cilantro, and lime wedges that brighten everything up. Every bite hits savory, tangy, and rich all at once. The Pepperoni pizza? Loaded. Not skimpy slices -- thick, cupped pepperoni with crispy edges and plenty of coverage. Cheese pull was legit, sauce had depth, and the ratio was dialed in. Service quality remains top tier. Professional, welcoming, and consistent. I went to try this pizza place for the first time, I'd seen it on the Yelp app but just never got around to going there, I was hungry just drove back in from LA so I said I want some pizza this was only about a mile and a half away it's in a little shopping mall tattoo place Mexican food right near Del Taco on Main Street and just before 28th very nice on the inside I met the owner he was a very nice man got the pizza it was delicious just a pepperoni but they have a lot of different flavors I want to go back in and try. I brought some back home for my wife and she said it was very good, it was her first time trying it too. All in all will I be back? I'm not sure why this place doesn't get more attention, to me it's easily one of the best pizza spots in San Diego and even better than some spots in little Italy. The pizza crust is the best crust I've ever had. It's very soft with a slight crisp, I hate when I eat pizza and it has no crunch or if it feels like I have to tear it and chew forever. This crust is just perfection. The people in the front are always nice even if we are just picking up food. You can't go wrong with the toppings but we usually get the al pastor. Also plenty of seating indoors I think if you want to dine in the wait time shouldn't be long. read more

Have been wanting to try this place for a minute now. I popped in on a slow night near closing time and was immediately greeted. Walked through the open clean ample atmosphere seating to the bar counter at the back. Was met up by Chef Alex, who I informed was my first time here and she gave me recommendations and I asked for the Gobernador Pizza (a shrimp/bacon pizza) to go. Talked to her for a minute the. She went back and made my pizza pretty quick like. Needless to say the pizza was BOMB and I WILL be coming back to try her other choices!!!! Saw this business on Instagram and decided to come check it out as a reward for cleaning our garage. Food was freshly prepared, service was great, bathrooms were clean and the playlist was fun! We went today at opening time. We ordered a couple of apps & 2 personal size pizzas (birria & the one with pork & pickled onions - if forgot the name- sorry) I saw an ad on IG & it did NOT disappoint! My kid is very picky. He eats no dairy, except ice cream (shocking, right?). Doesn't do tomato sauces, but will eat raw tomatoes. He won't do cream-based sauces. So......pizza is not his thing. But tacos. Tacos are his thing. The one thing that brought me here was that he is the only one in our family that hates pizza, and now we finally have a pizza spot that is WELL WORTH our 25 minute drive! 10/10 recommend! This is one of my favorite spots to get together with the family over great Italian dishes, also to just have a special night out just me and my husband. I always have great service and great Italian dishes that are on a whole different level. My go to is definatly the fettuccine Alfredo. I could honestly never get sick of it it such a treat for me. But honestly any of the dishes here are fine by me. A place you must try at least once if you are in the San Diego area. read more

Really excellent food. We got the al pastor pizza, tuscana pizza, and a gluten free pizza, all of which were fantastic. I was so happy to see a business doing their own deliveries and not outsourcing through a third party!! There was a bit of a long wait, I think just unfortunate circumstances for the evening that delayed the driver. The gentleman was very apologetic about the experience and about the food not being as hot, and they made it up to us, which we deeply appreciated. The taste was still good and obviously good quality ingredients put together well. The tiramisu and philly sub were also good. Thanks for the delicious meal--this was our first time eating here and we will absolutely be back for more of that tuscana pizza. read more

A local family owned pizzeria! We decided to stop by after getting a coupon for a free pizza in the mail, and I'm really glad I gave it a shot! The place is spacious, clean, and has a welcoming vibe. There are a few TVs around and a bar area, though I didn't check if seating was available there. I tried the 10-inch pizza, which was just right for a light bite between two people. I went with the cochinita pizza, something I've never had before, and it was delicious! I'm already planning to come back and try the Al Pastor. Pizza is amazingly delicious! It's one of the best I've had, and let me add that I've been to 5-star Michelin restaurants just for pizza. We ordered a meat parade, five cheese, cheese, secret BBQ, and a margarita. All were top-notch. The service was very attentive and friendly. They greeted us right away. The shopping plaza isn't the fancies but has views of the navy ships so that's a plus. There is easy parking as well. Don't skip on this place if you're in town or a local. 5 pizzas 2 soda 2 fancy drinks, 1 with liquor $105.. not to bad for a family of 5, plus we had food to take home. read more

This place is legit. 100% so good. It's in the strip mall next to the base outside of the gate adjacent to the Navy Lodge. I waited too long to come here big mistake on my part This pizza is worth your time. They have freshly brewed iced tea, its summertime in a glass. Its so good I would stop by just for the tea. (super tea snob is me) I added a Pineapple Mule because its part of the experience. They have a full list of nonalcoholic adult drinks. Just for fun. So I threw a dart. They will tell you that they are a local independent pizzeria. They feature Grande cheese and prime meats and fresh veggies. With a commitment to premium ingredients. This was the first time for me trying pizza at Sorianos. I did an online order for pickup when they opened at 10am and ordered 5 large pies. Coworkers and I ordered the Al Pastor, Birria, Supreme, Meat Parade, and Tuscany. We didn't get the pizzas until around 1050 but the wait was worth it. Customer service was great and they apologized for the pies being delayed but gave us some appetizers free of charge to go. Love the pizza. Next time will dine in. read more

Came here for my first time, and the space was very clean and spacious. It was perfect for me and my family since there were quite a few of us. Also they have a lot to offer on their menu as well as a kids menu. I believe it was the owner that helped us out, but he was very attentive even though they were pretty busy and a little short staffed... we didn't mind since we were in no rush, but the food was great! I traveled farther than usual to support a business that was listed on the app as recently opened. As I pulled into the parking lot, I remember coming to this Barrio Logan plaza in the past. It turned out this suite was the home of a former Thai eatery that went out of business. Soriano's Pizzeria has taken over the space which was quite large for a pizza joint. There were enough tables to seat over 50 customers. The two-sided menu was divided into appetizers, pizzas, and salads on the front with pasta, submarines, desserts, and beverages on the back. Instead of pizza, I opted for an order of the Traditional Chicken Wings with sweet & spicy pineapple glaze. Ranch (my choice) or blue cheese dressing was included, however carrots and celery sticks cost an additional $3.25 which I declined. I also picked a Philly Cheese Steak Sub for the rest of my meal. Nine bone-wings came fresh out of the fryer and coated with the glaze. It was definitely sweet with just a tinge of spiciness. The sub was filled with thinly sliced steak, sauteed onions, bell peppers, and melted American cheese. It was cut in half before being placed in a takeout container. The meat needed more seasoning as there was little flavor to it. The amount of steak was nominal when it should have been heaping to match a classic Philly-style cheesesteak. I would say the wings were worth four stars while the sub was three stars at best. read more

I was starving after my conference and I needed something close to my AirBnB. So, what hits better than having a whole pizza to yourself? Enter Sorianos Pizzeria. I won't lie, I wasn't really sure what to expect when I pulled into the small plaza late at night. I was like...this could be anything. But, I try to stick with what I know especially when I am in an unfamiliar place so I went with the 10 inch Margherita pizza. And while it did take a bit to get, I would say that it was tasty. Everyone was pretty friendly, albeit a little tired since it was the end of the day, I am sure. The vibe for me was giving more of a takeout situation but I was also there later at night so what do I know? Loved the amount of basil they put on it. Cheese was good. It was a solid pizza. What a beautiful and delicious pizza! A good pizza should look as good as it tastes. The margherita pizza did not disappoint and had the colors of the Italian flag. The crust was light and crisp. The cheese was gooey. I ordered a large pie and after a 10 minute drive home, it was still hot and fresh. We enjoyed the pizza for a simple and satisfying dinner. The place is clean and comfortable. Service was friendly, quick and polite. Looking forward to trying more of their menu in the future. read more

Honestly came here randomly because we got a free pizza coupon in the mail and wow!!! So happy I had that because it brought me to this place! Its pretty spacious, nicely decorated, and super clean. They have a couple TVs and bar area (idk if you can sit there i forgot). The pizza was soooo good. We got the 10 inch size and it was good as a snack between 2 people! I have never had a cochinita pizza before and i loved it! Def want to try the Al Pastor next. Got the carrot cake for fun and not too sweet! Service was super friendly too. Came in with my wife and two sons, aged 6 and 2. We tried the mozzarella sticks, buffalo wings, and meat lovers pizza. The boys had the kids cheese pizzas. The mozzarella sticks were 10/10. The buffalo wings and pizza were great as well. The wings would've been above average for a wing-focused place and are great for a pizza spot. The service was great as well. The waiter was very friendly and everything came out at a good pace. Overall, it's a great place to bring the family and would also be a good spot to watch a game. Give Sorianos some love! They only opened 6 months ago and are raising the bar! We got the family special (great price for the amount of food) which came with an appetizer (Brussels or fried mozzarella), a salad (garden or Caesar), a cheese pizza (we changed to a Margherita), and a pasta (penne marinara or fettuccine alfredo). Everything was delicious! The pizza crust was chewy and the fried mozzarella was full of cheese and flavor! The service was on point and extremely friendly. The setting is pretty cozy and open. Came here with my family for the first time and this place was awesome! Great tasting food. The pizza had great taste, fluffy cust, the wings, wings were hot but tasted great. But overall what brought the experience over the top was the customer sewice! They are super nice, very friendly and treated you like family'! When were back in San diego I would definitely go back! We work down the street and tried this place out, it did not disappoint. Ordered a little of everything; mozzarella sticks were amazing, calamari was not good, 5-cheese pizza was delicious it doesn't have red sauce but very garlicy and cheesy, ravioli was delicious the sauce was amazing. 5 stars! I saw this place on Yelp and it had 5 stars score so I thought we should try it out. Wow! Did not disappoint! First, the waiter was super awesome and helpful, you can tell he really cared. We ordered the fettuccine with chicken, the wings and the caprese salad. All 3 were amazing! Plus, the portions and prices were great! Plus, the waiter offered my son a tea to go! We stopped by on our way home from the museums. The reviews are all accurate. The food is phenomenal and you can nothing nothing is canned or bought from a store and reheated. We ordered pizzas, ravioli, and mozzarella sticks. Our server (young lady) was very nice and made us feel very welcomed. They made sure our order was correct, the food was acceptable and made sure we got a to-go box for our leftover pizza. The restaurant itself was very clean and we enjoyed the music. read more

Ordered a supreme pizza through Uber eats. Sauce had good flavor, could taste the oregano, really like the sweet and tangy balance, veggies were fresh, sausage was good and pepperoni was decent. My only complaint is the crust was too doughy and a little heavy, I normally love my crust crispy but as stated, we did order it on Uber eats so... I did like the thinness of the crust. Overall a good pizza. Will try it again but will eat it there. read more

I arrived in San Diego 23 years ago and have dedicated my career to the restaurant industry ever since. Like many immigrants, I began humbly—washing dishes—and steadily worked my way up through every position: prep cook, line cook, chef’s assistant, and later, busser, server, bartender, and manager. These experiences have provided me with a deep understanding of the industry: what guests value, the level of service they expect, and the quality they deserve. Pizza Wasn't the Only Thing Getting Fired Up Outside…read more We weren't even customers here, but after what I saw outside this place I definitely won't be one in the future. We were standing on the sidewalk near the red seating area in front of Filippi's Pizza Grotto for about ten minutes finishing a smoke. I had recently experienced a flare-up of a chronic illness, which significantly affected my well-being. During this episode,I had felt the need to smoke as a way to manage the heightened stress and discomfort caused by my condition. Right as we finished and were about to leave, a police car pulled up (it honestly looked like the officer was just stopping by to grab lunch). That's when an older lady employee from the restaurant suddenly came outside and said, "Do you mind moving down? The smoke is going into my restaurant." Fair request. We immediately responded respectfully with "Sorry miss," and started walking away to avoid any issue. But instead of leaving it there, she kept escalating the situation while they were already leaving, repeating things like "This is a family business, have some respect!" -- which didn't really make sense considering we had already apologized and were doing exactly what she asked. What made the whole thing feel strange was the timing. We had been standing there for around ten minutes already. If the smoke was truly bothering the restaurant, why wait until the exact moment a police car pulled up to come outside and confront us? From the outside, it honestly looked like the presence of the police suddenly gave her the confidence to make a scene and try to draw attention to us even though we were already complying. It appears she wanted to get us into legal trouble with her making it a bigger scene in front of the police. Another thing that didn't sit right with me was that we were the only Hispanics standing in the area at the time and the only people she chose to confront. I'm not saying that was the intention, but from a bystander's perspective it definitely didn't look great. Also, I'm still confused by the "this is a family restaurant" comment. What exactly does that mean in this situation? Are people who smoke not allowed to eat there? Because we weren't even customers at the moment we were simply standing on a public sidewalk and immediately moved when asked. If someone respectfully complies with your request, there's really no reason to continue escalating the situation or trying to involve the police by drawing attention to it. If this is how people are treated outside the restaurant, it doesn't exactly inspire confidence about how customers are treated inside. It appears that if you're Hispanic or a smoker you should steer clear of this place. I wouldn't be surprised if she has ICE on speed dial.

The atmosphere was also a plus for us because we have a 1 year old baby and there was enough room where we weren't too cramped or crowded in, and it wasn't too loud or overstimulating.
