I was a patient in October and November 2021, where…read moreI had a minor problem with slightly exposed roots in two teeth, literally in the few millimeters. Dr. Myones promised to cover this issue with a gum graft and reassured me it would be covered. I also agreed to cutting of a frenulum in the lower lip area verbally but didn't sign any paperwork for it. Instead of what I agreed to, Dr. Myones placed the gum graft below the problem area and instead of cutting a frenulum did a surgery that cut very deep into my chin and changed the appearance of my chin and lower lip. I never agreed to any of this. The initial surgery also damaged previously healthy gums. The consent form was pre-filled and they wrote in additional things after I signed it, which was shocking as well. When I wasn't yet healed and still in pain from this fiasco, Dr. Myones convinced me to have a cleaning on my front teeth. I was left alone with a hygienist who told me she was changing the instrument to be used and proceeded to scrape and push my teeth for a long time. After this, I was shocked that my teeth looked like they had been bathed in acid. My front teeth had scrapes, scratches, dents on the surface, a part of a tooth missing near the gum line, damaged gums, receded gums that were perfect just before the procedure, and rough spots on my enamel. That same day I had horrendous pain start on every tooth that was touched during that procedure and pain speaking. I soon realized my front teeth were all loose. I had never had loose teeth as an adult. Upon returning to Dr. Myones, he placed fluoride on my teeth which did not help. In the next few days the pain got worse and when I returned again he refused to examine my teeth besides the ones involved in surgery and told me they were mobile. I later found out in my records me excluded this from my record, protecting himself. He offered to re-do the surgery which to me was preposterous that I would trust this office again. In the aftermath I was diagnosed with all my front teeth being mobile, and my teeth turned a grey color and lost bone density. During this time my facial structure changed drastically and took on a caved appearance. I have now experienced chronic pain in my teeth, mouth, and chin since being treated by Dr. Myones. I have been in chronic pain for more than 2.5 years now, with aggravated pain when speaking. I am being told now this is nerve related. I have had many medical tests that show I am otherwise healthy. The pain has had little progress in getting better over the past few years and my life has been very different compared to my normal. Dr. Myones caused me severe injuries. His hygenist did god knows what to my teeth that they were so damaged afterwards. My life was ruined by Dr. Myones not being able to do the procedures he promised. In the aftermath I also found out he faked my dental record to look like I had more problem teeth than I did. He also reported fake information to my insurance, claiming there were more problem teeth than the two with a minor problem. He took all of my remaining insurance coverage falsely. I was also supposed to have a minor tooth shaving procedure at his office in November 2021, and it was scheduled after those procedures. I was already in severe pain from the first surgeries and procedure, and when it was about to start I asked Dr. Myones exactly what was going to be done and he described something different than what was discussed before and I expressed surprise about it and in response he got angry and berated me for "wanting to play doctor." He got angry because I asked what was going to be done to my teeth, nevermind that he told me he was going to do something different than what he told me before. Thankfully he cancelled that procedure himself. Dr. Myones - you should not be doing this to your patients. This is appalling and I am dealing with the effects of your 'treatments' more than 2.5 years later.

I also paid the full patient portion quoted to me upfront, based on the treatment plan they provided. Months later, I received an unexpected bill claiming insurance didn't cover as much as the office expected. Despite doing my due diligence, paying what was required, I was repeatedly threatened with collections. I even went through the trouble of filing a formal appeal with Aetna, which was denied simply because of timing. This process has been stressful, time-consuming, and felt very misleading from start to finish. I've since resolved the balance just to avoid collections, but I will never return to this office and wouldn't recommend it to anyone who wants honest billing practices or respect as a patient.
