They keep a handful of core beers but I love how they are always experimenting. I really like the syrup that they put into their berliner weisse. Plenty of seating inside and an outdoor Biergarten with live music. Nothing fancy, but a great place to stop for a drink (or tasting) and hang out for a bit. Near the entrance they usually serve some drink or food with tables up front then near the back they'll have a very intimate performance space. There is plenty of free street parking nearby. This is located in Scott's Addition. It can also be used as an affordable wedding venue. I love the bathrooms here. They are fully stocked with thoughtful things like hair ties and floss. They have a women and men restroom. I last went for a WRIR fundraiser that was incredible. They opened one of the garage doors for a food truck to serve food from. I love the way the space is divided so you can have room for dancing/music as well as sitting down. I'd recommend hosting an event here.

The charcuterie board we ordered was excellent and a highlight of the night. The location is also great for nightlife. That said, the drinks didn't quite hit the mark for me, and the service was inconsistent. We were told guests are expected to be quiet during the sets, yet another group was talking loudly and nothing was addressed, which felt a bit uneven. Overall, it's not a place I'd return to, and I wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for a more diverse crowd.

Great Spot to Hang Out & Chill…read more Conex RVA and RVA - River City Smash Burger offer a unique and beautiful venue with plenty of space to bring friends and family and enjoy a relaxing afternoon. The atmosphere is one of the highlights, with an excellent selection of craft beers and some great cocktails to complement the experience. On the food side, expect straightforward smash burgers and street food--nothing overly fancy, but satisfying and fitting for the casual vibe. Overpriced for the quality of meat and serving. Service can be a bit hit or miss, especially when the venue gets crowded, so don't expect the same level of attention during peak times. Parking can be a challenge if you visit on weekends. Remain resilient. Overall, it's a great place to hang out, have a few drinks, enjoy some casual food, and chill with good company.

My coworker, whose wedding we attended, blocked rooms out at the Holiday Inn on Midlothian Turnpike near Johnston-Willis Hospital just a few minutes away. The home dates back to the mid to late 1800s with a barn nearby. The wedding we attended yesterday had the ceremony in the barn. It was truly a special place with light filtering in through cracks in the wood. After the ceremony the guests made their way over to the reception area on the far side of the house. A tent connects with the house, allowing guests to travel back and forth under cover, which was important yesterday as there was a bit of rain. There are beautiful grounds including a gazebo and a fire pit. The staff was very attentive and the food was great. There were about 190 people at this wedding and it never felt crowded. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a wedding venue.

We could not view the wedding ceremony because their wedding venue is in the top of a barn with wooden steps as the only access. No elevator! We waited in the reception tent instead. During the reception, my wife needed to go to the rest room. We discovered that there is no wheelchair access to the house where the restrooms are and the restrooms themselves will not accommodate a wheelchair. We had to carry my wife up the stairs to the bathroom. When I asked the owner if he'd consider putting in a wheelchair ramp, he copped an attitude and said "Ain't gonna happen", "It's never been a problem until now." If you have anyone in your family with functional needs or are elderly and need wheelchairs or walkers, I'd AVOID this place since the owner doesn't see the need to meet ADA compliance standards. UPDATE - They now have wheelchair access to the main house.
