Things like this happen, but what was particularly disappointing was the way it was handled. When we booked this company we were assured that they would be responsible for making sure that all of the staff would be accounted for on time and if they weren't, alternative arrangements would be made. Couldn't be further from what actually happened - she completely misrepresented her "duties" in managing the arrival of the staff. My wedding planner and her staff had to drive the entire process - continuously having to reach out for updates on what was happening, who was coming, and if we had replacements (who did finally arrive, late due to traffic supposedly). The mothers of the bride and groom, father of the bride, and another guest had to spend over an hour helping. Even still, several things were not able to be set up as we were shorthanded by over 20 hours. Not to mention that our wedding planner and her team were suddenly consumed with coordinating the staffing, trying to cover the shortfall of hands and were unable to do what THEY were meant to do. After the wedding, I received an automated reminder to pay the balance of my full bill. NO ONE from the company reached out to me to apologize for or even explain what happened. I had to reach out to Party Host Helpers to request the updated amount due based on the reduced hours provided and the debacle they caused. They then had the nerve to charge my credit card without first providing me with a detailed updated receipt to approve for the balance of the payment. I had to request an updated detailed receipt so that my wedding planner could even confirm that the new amount was even close to being correct. When I complained, they provided a $200 credit. Wow. Thanks. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because several of the people who DID show up on time were excellent. The handling of the situation was outrageous however. I would never recommend this company for an important event.
