My 500th review!!!! Woot woot!…read more A nice meal to celebrate this occasion. Lots of choices in downtown Santa Fe and this one popped out from my Yelp search. Corner lot with indoor and outdoor seating. The patio bar looks very fun and cool. Almost had the place to myself as I came in between lunch and dinner. Service was good and quick. The chili relleno's were delicious. Tried with red and green sauces. The warm flour tortilla was a nice touch so I could soak up the sauces after. Yelplicious!

We came for dinner, and I got a sampler plate appetizer that included quesadillas and chicken chimichangas, Don got a sampler plate that had chile Riano, enchilada, and beef taco. It also came with rice and beans. The rice and beans were probably the best we've ever had. Everything else was delicious We want to mention that Jo was an excellent server, very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the next morning and had the eggs, bacon and pancakes, plus the stuffed French toast. This is a nice easy-going place with good prices and friendly people. There's also patio seating.

Just the right spice level, everything was hot, and the service was amazing. If you are looking to cater a wedding in Northern New Mexico, we highly recommend La Fonda Del Sol. Even though the restaurant was incredibly busy and our food took a while to arrive, Joseph handled the situation flawlessly. He was deeply attentive, consistently apologizing for the delay and expressing genuine gratitude for our patience. To make the wait easier, he kindly brought out complimentary chips and salsa, and we were pleasantly surprised to find an unexpected discount on our bill. Joseph is exceptionally pleasant, kind, and accommodating--he made us feel like absolute VIPs. He is a talented young man with a bright future, and he clearly has the leadership skills to manage a restaurant or a full staff right now. I am excited to see where his career takes him. The food was delicious as well. Additionally, Mariaelena and Joeana were just as exceptional. Whomever is handling the hiring at Cafe Abiquiu completely knows what they are doing. I had an incredible experience, will definitely dine here again and again, and will tell everyone passing through New Mexico to make this a mandatory stop!

It was my first experience with shrimp scampi and so many Tex Mex flavors. Sadly we moved from Colorado to Michigan and those yearly trips ended. In 2012 when my youngest was graduating high school, I decided to "go back home" and we traveled from Michigan to California for her senior trip. Unfortunately so much had changed EXCEPT for the exceptional food at the Pink Adobe! Not much beyond the pricing has changed as it is still in the same pink Adobe building. My shrimp scampi and other delicious items we ordered was the only experience from my childhood that stood the test of time! Mama Rosalea's menu has many of the old standards plus some newer menu items that retain the special touch of the current chef. It was beyond remarkable! From the stellar servers who treat you like family to the "comida deliciosa" it took me back decades to how both service and restaurant food was before! EXCELLENTE! The Pink Adobe isn't cheap but worth EVERY PENNY, while so much of Santa Fe has changed since the 70s with commercialization and invasion of the hipsters? It was wonderful to see at least here, things are still very much old school! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Ps: if you can find "Cooking with a Silver Spoon" on eBay BUY it! It's a serving of the Pink Adobe 's best recipes so you can make them at home too!
