The clever display of metal (?) sheep sculptures on the shed like roof of the storefront provides an enticing hint about what one will find inside. That is a collection of delightful creations by local artists and artisans from beaded bags, to jewelry, to oil paintings, to quilts, to small wooden bird sculptures, to glass art, to hand knit sweaters and caps to goat soap. Among the most intriguing items in the shop are skeins of hand woven woolen yarn in a multitude of colors. Farwest Materials screwed up several orders over a period of 6 months for our company. I gave them…read morechance after chance after chance to make it right. Their staff was so horrible that they changed out the entire staff! To my surprise, even after multiple notifications from their new staff that the my incorrect billing (that had been created before they on board) was going to be corrected, they then turned around and continued to bill me incorrectly. My FINAL attempt at using them as a vendor was in the fall when I placed the last order I would ever place with them. After about a month of not receiving my order, I contacted them to let them know it never arrived. I also informed them that I had a show coming up in January that I had to have product ready for ASAP. They then apologized, sent me two samples to hold us over for a few days, and then promised that my order would be there before Christmas (within 2 weeks). Now this entire time you need to know that I had already pre-paid for my 5 gallon kit along with the shipping. So right after Christmas (still no products) I called AGAIN and yet again more apologies and a guarantee that they would have my order placed and shipped to me overnight, since this was the 2nd time that they had forgotten to place my order after charging me. 3 days later I finally receive my order. Then I receive a call from the staff at Farwest Materials informing me that they want ME to cover over $1,000 in shipping cost for the "overnight" shipping and now are saying that I never paid for my order, of which I had paid for months prior at this point. The last time that I spoke with them I informed them that they needed to figure out their accounting and that it was not my fault that they had to overnight ship my product after they had forgotten to order it twice. This was months ago. To my surprise, I just got a letter from collections. BEWARE OF USING THIS COMPANY!!! I am sending all of this to my attorney!

Our time at the studio was exceptionally fun, encouraging our artistic sensibilities as we all chose our pottery and then how to decorate. We chose the "deliver" option, as we all live in the Treasure Valley, and about a month after our time at MM, a lovely gentleman delivered our pieces! Our group got together today to do a "pottery reveal party", where we opened the package and were able to see how everything turned out! I cannot tell you how fun and cute the items were, and how much fun we had in looking back at our pictures of our pieces prior to being fired, and how they compared with what we ended up receiving. If I could give Mountain Monet extra stars I would!! We'll absolutely be back!!

Lori was so helpful and her method of explaining what works and doesn't work in color/pattern combinations made the task a real pleasure. She was very patient, let me use my imagination and then advised once she understood my preferences. She even offered some of her choices for me to consider. She made this challenge for me stress free and enjoyable and I am happy with the results. I look forward to the days when they can open up for classes again.
