Lori was so helpful and her method of explaining what works and doesn't work in color/pattern combinations made the task a real pleasure. She was very patient, let me use my imagination and then advised once she understood my preferences. She even offered some of her choices for me to consider. She made this challenge for me stress free and enjoyable and I am happy with the results. I look forward to the days when they can open up for classes again.

5 stars for charm, creativity, and kindness...with one gentle note…read more I visited Charmed Needles in Ontario, Oregon as part of both the All Pacific NW Shop Hop and the Treasure Hop Shop Hop--and I have to say, the name fits perfectly! The shop is full of charm, and the staff were truly some of the kindest and most welcoming people I've met on the hop. They went above and beyond to make visitors feel at home, offering thoughtful little gifts like homemade trail mix, filtered water (with real hospitality--bring your bottle or use one of theirs!), and a fun little needle guide that I'll definitely use. The fabric selection was lovely, and the overall vibe of the shop is warm, creative, and community-oriented. You can tell it's a place where people gather and feel cared for. The only downside for me personally--and I say this with kindness and respect--is that I have a severe allergy to cats. While I didn't see any in the shop, it was clear they are part of the environment. The scent was strong enough that I had a noticeable allergic reaction pretty quickly. I totally understand and respect that every shop has its own personality, and pets are part of the charm for many--but I wanted to mention this gently in case other folks with cat allergies are planning a visit. Overall, it's a lovely shop run by lovely people. Just be aware if you're highly sensitive to cats, and maybe come prepared. Otherwise, don't miss it.

Hot tubs and hot tub chemicals plus saunas are sold too. Owners Greg and Sandi have been there 26 years! It's open Monday- Saturday. Classes are taught in Quilting, Sewing, and Machine Embroidery. They also service items that they sell. It's a fun, long standing business in downtown La Grande serving Union, Umatilla, Baker and Wallowa counties with kindness and expertise. Highly Recommend!!!

Greg had filled the tub, set the appropriate chemicals and temperature, and we were able to immediately enjoy our new Hot Springs tub. We couldn't be happier with the tub, the service, and the friendly follow-up to any questions we have.

A group of coworkers (I work with Allen Gamel's Edward Jones office) and I went to Mountain Monet…read moreduring a trip to McCall, thinking it would be a lovely way to spend a few hours of a rainy day. Our time at the studio was exceptionally fun, encouraging our artistic sensibilities as we all chose our pottery and then how to decorate. We chose the "deliver" option, as we all live in the Treasure Valley, and about a month after our time at MM, a lovely gentleman delivered our pieces! Our group got together today to do a "pottery reveal party", where we opened the package and were able to see how everything turned out! I cannot tell you how fun and cute the items were, and how much fun we had in looking back at our pictures of our pieces prior to being fired, and how they compared with what we ended up receiving. If I could give Mountain Monet extra stars I would!! We'll absolutely be back!!

I know staffing is a challenge in McCall, however, this is still helpful information. 1. Your employee was dressed head to toe, face painted, as a terrifying clown. My 4 & 6 year old were absolutely terrified and totally weirded out. 2. Having some holiday playlist or ambient music playing would be a huge improvement. The super random, inappropriate music for kids, and constantly changing mid song, being DJ'ed was painful. 3. A towel. Or just anything dry to wipe your hands.
