A group of coworkers (I work with Allen Gamel's Edward Jones office) and I went to Mountain Monet during a trip to McCall, thinking it would be a lovely way to spend a few hours of a rainy day. Our time at the studio was exceptionally fun, encouraging our artistic sensibilities as we all chose our pottery and then how to decorate. We chose the "deliver" option, as we all live in the Treasure Valley, and about a month after our time at MM, a lovely gentleman delivered our pieces! Our group got together today to do a "pottery reveal party", where we opened the package and were able to see how everything turned out! I cannot tell you how fun and cute the items were, and how much fun we had in looking back at our pictures of our pieces prior to being fired, and how they compared with what we ended up receiving. I would love to give this place 5 stars. Or even let the business owner know just a few things I've noticed that would help me want to come back more! I know staffing is a challenge in McCall, however, this is still helpful information. 1. Your employee was dressed head to toe, face painted, as a terrifying clown. My 4 & 6 year old were absolutely terrified and totally weirded out. 2. Having some holiday playlist or ambient music playing would be a huge improvement. The super random, inappropriate music for kids, and constantly changing mid song, being DJ'ed was painful. 3. A towel. Or just anything dry to wipe your hands. read more

Fun place to spend a few hours painting ceramics, fusing glass or creating bead jewelry. Expensive though and they ran out of black paint for ceramics. We painted a chip/dip bowl, special day plate and large dog water bowl. We want to paint mugs laters and fuse glass. There are several tables for different groups. It can be rented for parties. It takes 7-10 days to fire pieces. They will mail items out of state or deliver finished items in the valley. read more

Our 10 yr old son was in a wheelchair (broke his femur dirt biking.) We came here both days of our weekend trip. He goes hardcore at so many things but he was so happy to paint for three hours! We walked in today and no one else was in the store. The person working there did not acknowledge us and finally we approached her and asked how it all works. She mumbled a few words and basically did the very least possible to get us set up. There were 5 of us. I tried to be friendly and comment kindly on what she was working on and she was totally rude in her interaction with me and with our group. It's too bad that one person can have such a negative affect on a business and on an experience. If she would have been thoughtful in the slightest, we would have made the best of it but her attitude was horrible. read more

Selection was ok. Staff not helpful at all. Played ok music but very inappropriate for children that came in while we were painting. Several songs played had the F word and was not appropriate for the business. I have been to several ceramic shops and usually you get instructions. We received none we watched what others did so we could figure out where things were. Sounds like same employee based on prior reviews. I understand hard to find employees but having someone do nothing but sit around and not help is very detrimental to your business. She acted as if she was bothered to be there and at times we had no clue where she was. read more

This is a great place to take your girlfriend, daughter or budding artist interested in painting pottery, beading or glass fusion art. The kids can stay entertained for a good two to three hours depending on their patience and artistic inclinations. My mom and I stayed in here for approximately 2.5 hours working. Sandy and Alberta were wonderful. They show you around the studio, explain techniques and then let you get to your artwork. There are several tables and plenty of supplies. Best part is: they will ship your creations to you lest you leave before it gets back from the kiln. Kudos mountain Monet! read more

Lots of choices! Small pieces for 4$ all the way up to huge pieces costing 90$ great selection! One of the few places in McCall to do things for all ages! Jewelry and glass and pottery! They only have Christmas pottery and piggy banks. Over priced and I CANNOT BELIEVE how blatantly disrespectful the employees were. There were less than ten people there. My friends and I were all looking for help asking strangers if they worked there. Right before giving up an employee finally came forward rolling her eyes to answer our question when she had been watching us struggle for help for 30 minutes ignoring us. They have an amazing choice of different craft ideas from paintin pottery to scrapbooking, beading, or glass art too. The selection for painting pottery isn't huge but there deffinately is enough options to make the perfect gift for you or your loved one. And just around the corner is Ice Cream Alley. read more
