I don't know if this is typical or not but my experience was awesome! My appt was for 8:45am. There were about 20 people in the lobby. I checked in around 8:40am. My name was called at 8:45 at the desk. She took the document. I was called back at 8:46. The phlebotomist was pleasant and efficient. Took my blood, gave urine sample and I'm in my car at 8:59am!! I had an appointment for 11, checked in at 1055, it's now 1145 and I'm still waiting. Wtf is the point of making an appointment?! Someone else in the waiting room claims they've been here for 3 hours! He kindly asked a worker who was sassy and rude about it claiming that she can't control the walk ins. Yah obviously that's true but you can control taking the walk ins before the appointments and therefore defeating the purpose of appointments! There's also no bathroom in the waiting area. Besides this being Arizona, the DESERT, so people need to hydrate in general so they don't die, you need to be hydrated for blood draws as well. So while we're being forced to wait around for 3 hours are we just supposed to pee on the side of the building or something?! TLDR: absolute shit show of an operation. I'd never recommend this location, in fact go to a different company altogether if you can. read more

It was nice to be able to make an appointment, but only if you're not forgotten in the waiting room. This was my first time at this location, and it was very weird that there were no people around to help just a couple kiosks in the front of the room 40 minutes past my appointment time I finally was able to get a hold of somebody who said oh yeah we'll get right to you. Then they pull people that had appointments 30 and 45 minutes after mine. Finally, I get the woman who's only supposed to be doing walk-in so is not very happy about doing an appointment. All in all, I needed a blood draw and didn't want to drive to Scottsdale so this worked. It would never be my first choice. read more

I visited the Sonora Quest lab at 155 E Warner after my doctor recommended tests, a location that, amusingly, isn't even listed on Yelp. I asked to schedule an appointment, but the two staff behind the counter were absorbed in their phones. One finally tossed me a card with a QR code and said, "Scan this to book." I did, and arrived for my 7:30 slot, signed in at 7:25, only to be ignored until after 8:00. The same woman who gave me the card then called to request my insurance information. I pointed out my appt time, and she said I wasn't on their schedule, and hinted that multiple people were having trouble with the booking system. Scheduling the appoint was fine and they were only 20 minutes behind. I gave them updated insurance information and they still billed my old insurance company. I was on hold for 30 minutes to have them bill the correct insurance company and after a few questions the lady on the phone hung up on me. It was if she didn't want to do the work to correct their error. I'll just wait now until they figure out they billed the wrong insurance company. Cash flow and collections are not a concern of to them apparently. read more

So, I entered my phone number and went back to my car. 35 minutes later, nobody called, so I went back in. There is no receptionist, just a touch pad, so I tried to check in again, and this time I got the message "You are late-you will be treated as a walk-in". Well, there is nobody to scream at, so I left. There were a dozen people waiting outside the door. I inquired how long they had been waiting, and one person told me she had been waiting for a full hour, and she had an appointment! I had a great experience at this Sonora Quest location! Normally, I get my blood draws at my PCP office (they have a sonora quest inside their office), but a different doc ordered labs for me. I made an appointment online, which was pretty easy. The front desk staff seemed flustered when I came in, but it was pretty busy. I waited only a few minutes past my appointment time and was only in the back for a few minutes. Syed drew my labs and Jenny assisted. They were a friggen all-star team. They were so pleasant and friendly, especially for a Monday morning! There were a lot of people who walked in without appointments and seemed annoyed that people with appointments were getting taken back, so I'd highly recommend calling ahead or scheduling online to have the best experience. read more

They recently walled in the reception desk and installed a wall with a locked door so there is no way to talk anyone if you have a question. I am in my 5th attempt at having my blood drawn and have made an appointment for each visit. They are late, or said they call/text and never have. I made an appointment which was very easy and quick to do online. I was very worried about going to this location based on so many negative reviews. I am glad I did not listen to them. From the moment I walked in and was greeted by Dee, she was friendly and helpful. I did not wait even 10 minutes to be called back. Jessica was the phlebotomist who helped me. She was so kind, friendly and was so good at my blood draw I did not fill anything. To the male who I believed was the manager also very kind and friendly. I had a very positive experience here with every employee I came across was friendly and smiled. Do not let these negative comments stop you from going to this location. Waited over 45 minutes past appointment time for a pediatric blood draw, after being told that appointments are prioritized. My child's place in line kept getting bumped by walk ins. They recently removed their front desk area, so now the lab tech has to take your insurance & lab order info while in the room getting the blood draw. What used to be a 2 minute procedure to draw blood, turned into 20 minutes while lab information had to be entered in the computer. This could have been done while I was waiting. I will absolutely be utilizing another lab and stop giving this chain company anymore business. read more

These places are always packed. The phlebotomist are nice but that front desk lady is rude as hell. She's rude to EVERYBODY , they have a sign reminding the outdoor population that it's a felony to hurt a health worker. . SMH.. maybe that wouldn't be needed if she watched her mouth. It sets the tone for the poor people in the back and I am a healthcare worker in one of the biggest hospitals in Arizona if this lady walked into my ER I would not be allowed to speak to her the way she speaks to people there. I got to this lab today and people were waiting outside and the waiting room was full. I started hearing people talk about the wait even for appts was over an hour. I heard the lady behind the desk talking on the phone that they were short handed. I get it, people call in sick etc... my issue is, it gives them no right to be rude and short with all the customers. When they called me up to the desk after being there 45 minutes to ask for my referral and insurance card, I said hello and it was met with silence. She grabbed the insurance card out of my hand. The bathroom in the back was literally disgusting with a sticky floor (they do urinalysis testing from that bathroom.) (Drive to the one off McQueen & Ray & see Jennifer. -smooth like butter-) I cannot speak to all the techs here but the one I worked with was not pleasant. I went here to get a timed extensive blood draw done.(i showed up at 8 spoke with someone at 815) I was unable to understand the girl (Kelsi?). She repeatedly explained the blood panel codes and various time frames to me and I didn't understand what she was saying after hearing it several times. Mind you- this is why I am having so many tests done. So, I asked her to explain it differently. She literally put her hand up (talk to the hand style) and abruptly interrupted me Saying "MAAM, I AM EXPLAINING. YOU NEED TO LISTEN" I got defensive and told her to try a different approach because it wasn't making sense to me. it worked and she re-phrased it all. After, she called my doctor to make sure we could do an 8:30 draw instead of an 8 draw. my doctor said yes as long as she is still fasting. At this point I was rushed to the back by the same girl. I apologized for not understanding and shared with her my difficult health journey. I told her that my brain isn't totally working properly and I can't understand some basic instructions at times. Well the draw HURT. BAD. worse than any other. My whole arm hurt when she was drawing my blood. it instantly felt bruised ---waiting room 20 min--- opps, they didn't actually look at the sheet good enough... and had to REDRAW more blood. after that it took them 35 more minutes to iron out my paperwork. I understand that it was extensive set of tests. WHAT WAS NOT OK IS THAT I GOT AN ANGRY NEEDLE PUT IN MY ARM. I have NEVER had a blood draw this bad. It has hurt for a week. I couldnt move or use my arm for 3 days!! THIS IS TO BE NOTED. I would give negative stars if I could. I had an appointment and confirmation screenshot of the barcode to login that clearly stated my appt is 3/21/24 at 9:15 am. I got there and they told me to login in on the kiosk, it said it could not find my appointment so I showed them the confirmation, with the code, time and date matching and they said I do not have an appointment. The staff was clearly annoyed with me trying to just figure out why my appointment wasn't showing up. I looked on to my Sonoran quest and they rescheduled me to a date and time that I would never pick because I work at that time. They said they they didn't change me and that I needed to figure it out elsewhere because they were busy. I put in as a walk in because they don't me not to waste anymore time? While there was a cue a 6: 45 am. I found the entry to be Efficient. Safe distancing was enforced. All masked employees and definitely all wearing gloves. Cheyenne was my phlebotomist and she was very kind and listened to me. One restroom only was a small problem. There was easy parking and it was easy to find. Terrible customer service! I was a walk in and yes they were busy. They called me up to check in about 15 minutes after I arrived, the women said it would be 15-20 minutes since my order needs to be entered into the system. An hour later and nothing! I went to see when I might be called because I had to leave and the women said she was just entering my info now! I said "what?? I've been here for over an hour!" And she said, "well people have appointments and we have to take them" I said " ok then you should of told me when I checked in that I can't be seen today!" 1.5* rounded up, because after failing to get an appointment online - their system was down - and over the phone (fiasco!) we were able to obtain the Stat blood work Scott's Cardiologist had ordered by showing up in person. It was relatively empty during our visit, maybe because of the computer glitch? The wait room was OK, there's a kiosk where you sign in, so I'm not even sure why they have any front desk staff there: it certainly isn't to answer the phones! Scott was called back within a reasonable amount of time, and the Phlebotomist did a good job with the stick. They kind of have us by the balls, because his insurance requires his labs to go through Sonora Quest, or we have to pay out-of-pocket. I'd prefer my balls in the hands of a company that seems to care about their patients. This feels like a factory.
