This was my fourth time here, and even without an appointment it was my best experience yet. There was a little confusion at the check-in (not for me, but others), but once my name was called, everything was efficient. They have a new system that everyone is learning, but people were still friendly and the offices were clean. This is a big improvement. Kudos to the people who are making a difference. Fast and efficient. Place was packed when I went in for routine labs. Arrived a little early used the kiosk to check in sat down for a few called up to the front desk to confirm insurance, sat back down and waited maybe 10 minutes and called in. All in all there maybe 25 minutes. My wife and I just had the worst experience at the Sonora Quest Laboratory in Casa Grande, Arizona. In our 60 plus years of encountering medical organizations, we have never experienced anything so unprofessional, un-friendly, incompetent, time-consuming, and utterly mismanaged. We registered online and set up appointments for a simple blood type test. Our appointments were 7:30 and 7:45am. We arrived 15 minutes early as required. The lobby has no staff or receptionist. We checked in on an I-pad device. When I was called, the person could not process my request and said I will have to fill out forms and sent me back to wait in the lobby. Someone came out and gave me the 2-page form to fill out. After a few minutes another person came out to the lobby to give my wife her forms to fill out. We filled out the forms and waited. My wife was called after about 30 minutes. I waited until 8:03am, when the door opened, I approached the person to ask why I have not been called. My wife had just finished, so the lab tech called me back to process my request. He requested that my wife sit in the lab room with me. A lady came into the room to change the batteries in the wall thermostat because it was very warm and the AC was not working. That just added to the wait time. It was apparent that the lab tech did not know what he was doing and spent about 30 minutes attempting to enter data on the computer. He finally had to ask for assistance to complete the data entry after taking my credit card for payment. He finally drew my blood sample, and then took another 20 minutes completing the "paperwork" with another person showing him how to enter the two processes into the computer. While we were waiting there was a little girl in the next room that was terrified, crying and screaming about whatever they were trying to do to her. It was extremely uncomfortable to listen to that for 20 minutes. There was never any normal respectful conversation, no greeting, nor apology. The customer service was horrible. This is the worst and most disturbing experience we have ever had in ANY medical related office or organization. How a medical laboratory, servicing the public, can be so poorly operated and managed is beyond comprehension. We will never go into a Sonora Quest Laboratory again. read more

In Casa Grande, whenever they feel like not accepting walk-ins (although they claim to accept walk ins), they post "appointments only" on the door and then the two rude females that work at the front desk give you attitude on top of all the other inconveniences and aggravation. Meanwhile the waiting area is packed with people waiting to be seen. I've never seen a more unprofessional rude disorganized lab in my old life and the two at the desk really need to be fired for the way they treat people. I will never go there again. read more

Terrible. Facilities are dirty. Wait times, for blood draws, can reach 1 hour+. All facilities are very understaffed. Call or Email comments are NEVER answered. Go someplace else or contact the State Health Commissioner and file a complaint. read more

Another problem that ONLY has to do with billing, not the people that work there. I wanted to ask to adjust what I owed, due what I consider unnecessary charges. When you call them the only options are to 'pay it all', or 'pay some of it'. Again, no people to interact with or state your case. Poor service at the desk. They tell you it will just be a few minutes as a walk in but it turns into 30 or 40 minutes as they prioritize others that showed up well after. Then after 30 minutes of waiting they tell me the testing I came in for does not start till 1pm so I have to come back. Crap service. It is amazing the difference it makes when you put someone behind the counter that knows how to interact with people. I'd give them 4 stars but I had to complain to get the improved service. I made an appointment for today! I waited 35 minutes and went to,the receptionist and said if I had been forgotten , she said I was next! I sat down and watched as they were calling other patients to be seen! The girl with the dark hair, seems like she thinks she is privileged! Find some where else to go! They are always under staffed. When you sign in and people that come in after you are called up to the desk over and over it becomes annoying. The young man today was rude and short tempered. His only excuse was we are short staffed. Well that's not my fault, I'm sitting here waiting and when you finally call my name you are rude to me? So I am here now as I write this and Victoria, the front desk lady .... SO RUDE! I am checking in early coming from TEMPE so I figured I am helping them out. She gives me directives that aren't necessary, in a stern ride fashion, all I need is just a damn yes or no to be seen early. Anyhow, as I am watching her engage other customers she is stern and very rude to other customers who are elderly. From other posts on here she is very popular. Maybe a nursing school drop out? This place is incompetent. They gave me wrong verbal instructions, tried giving me instructions on a language I don't even speak and they read the doctors order incorrectly. I keep having issues with the place. The forgot to give me a specific sample bottle and now I have to do this process all over again. Your better off going somewhere else. read more

I am a weekly patient for over 2 years now. I have been in here when they are slow and when there are patients out the door. I read the reviews and it's absolutely false what people are saying about this site. These women and men work so hard to insure that each patient is served with kindness and compassion. You patients come onto the lab with nasty attitudes. Your rude, disrespectful, and flat out liars. The poor receptionist, gets yelled at and treated like she owes you something. These are people folks, who chose to go into the medical field to help others. Instead they get walked all over every day by people who leave untruthful reviews. These employees do their jobs to their full potential everyday. They go above and beyond for you. But instead of thanking them, you treat them like garbage. Sonora Quest has policy's and procedures that they hand down to their employees. These employees then do their jobs per protocol and you patients act as if some one just pulled a policy out of a hat. It is not there fault you have to wear a mask, it's only plastered all over the city of Casa Grande. It is not their fault your doctor didn't tell you to fast. It is their fault your ordered didn't get faxed over. It is not their fault that your life is not going the way you want it to go!!! Yet day after day week after week. They get up, get dressed, kiss their loved ones goodbye and head to work just to get abused by rude butt heads who obviously think that world revolves around them. Completely agree with previous post regarding being rude. Some of the rudest people I've ever encountered or at this facility! They don't say hello they don't say goodbye nothing.. we just jab you roughly in the arm with a needle and when you say ouch nit even as much as a flush.. And I usually don't have a problem with somebody drawing my blood but this girl was a little bit on the right side. then she says "sign here" and sends you on your way. A hello goes a long way people might want to try it. I will be trying the other CG location because these people are so incredibly rude especially the girl who drew my labs ...no I don't know her name because no one wears a name badge but she has a tattoo on her left forearm. You know who you are. Try being a little friendlier ..it goes along way. On top of that they're now only open from 6 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday make it really hard to get your labs drawn if you don't get off work until four ...might rethink that idea didn't make a lot of sense. The only good thing I can say about this place is at least they're no longer making your patients wear a mask. read more

Got an appointment, showed up 5 minutes early, check in was fine. Sat in waiting room with 5 other people. All 5 went in before me, plus another lady who did not have an appointment, and checked in after I got there. Maybe they were there for something other than blood work, but I still did not get called back until 20 minutes after my appointment time. The phlebotomist tried both arms, could not get blood, so he left to get a smaller needle for a draw from my hand. Could not find one very easily, but eventually came back in. After poking around several times, that failed also. Asked me several times if I had drank anything lately, which I had. He left to get another phlebotomist, who hit the vein in the first arm, the first time. I thought she was very professional, quick, and polite. I'm sure after all the poking around, I will have some nice bruises, and the back of my hand is sore to the touch. Probably won't go back unless it the last place in town. read more

I am 62 years old. While trying to check in using the kiosk, I asked the receptionist a question about the process and she responded condescendingly and rudely. Goodness! Where is the kindness, patience, concern, and courtesy? I went there for a pre employment drug screen and the first person I spoke to was Victoria. I told her I was there for a drug screen and she tells me I'm too late for the screen. She said we stop in taking people at 3:30. The time was 3:31. She said it in such a rude fashion as if I were at some government building where everyone can be rude. Very disrespectful. The other 3 people standing behind me gave a look like what a bitch. I said well that's service with a smile right? I had called earlier and spoke to Irene and explained to her that I would be a little late. She said it was ok and said to come in and mention her name. At this time I told Victoria about what Irene said and said she will look into it. As if she doing me domebig favor. I drove 40 miles rushing to get there and taking time off from my job and I get this shit. Really? I was screened and that was that. Sonora Quest's hours really suck on top of everything else. Some not even open 8 hours a day. If you want to be treated like your at the State MVD or any other government agency then head to this place. You'll love it. So I always expect a wait at any medical office. But this place is ridiculous. I get that they suggest a making an appointment but most the time it is booked weeks in advanced. When you attempt a walk-in, forget about. Even with 2 ppl in front of you, you are looking at an hour wait. The staff is not very helpful and act inconvenienced when asking questions. I visited the Sonora Quest office this afternoon. I set up an appointment online (super simple), I showed up a few minutes early. The front desk initially was not warm or friendly however another lady took over and ended up being quite helpful. the lab tech got me in and out painlessly and was very friendly. Normally when I have gone to Quest office I leave with a number of pick marks and bruises but this tech (wish I had gotten her name.) was extremely gentle and must've been very experienced because I didn't even feel it and had zero bruising. read more

Needed a blood test and waited at Sonora Quest with my order until they called me up, where they told me their computer system had frozen (10 minutes before closing time). Said to come back and gave me a note so I wouldn't have to wait when I came back. Came back today, presented my order and note, and was told by the unfriendly woman behind the counter, "Everyone waits here....get in line." Got in line and waited for 2 hours 35 minutes to get my blood test. Miserable customer service! I wonder if the counter assistants have forgotten they are dealing with people?! Incredibly terrible place....except for the phlebotomist, who was kind, caring, and highly skilled. Never again....I'll drive to Phoenix if I have to. read more

I read reviews. I didn't believe them. I should have. There is no reason to be so rude to your customers ladies. YOUR computer system somehow lost my appt. I had the email confirmation and they wouldn't even look at it. I wasn't on THEIR list. Wait with everyone else? The sign on the door says they welcome United Health Care, they somehow don't take MY particular United? I listened to the way they treated others. Just not acceptable.
