I have a service maintenance contract with Tyler for about 2 years now. They came to service my…read moreboiler and hot water heater, but every time they finish the service, there is always a problem. This year, they said the circuit board failed over the summer. There was no proof since they didn't test the furnace before starting their maintenance. Fine, I'll take the hit for that. However, here's the worst part of Tyler's service. They took 2 weeks to order the part, and said it may take 2 more weeks for the other part. They had no status as to what's taking so long. They don't call or text to give you an update. I called a different company after cancelling their service. It took 2 days to get my boiler back up and running. They got the parts in 24 hours and scheduled a technician to come out right away. Charged half the price for the correct parts. Stay away from Tyler Heating and Air. Their back office was rude and didn't care if your appliances are working or not.

I've seen a great deal of their work inside and outside the homes and the detail is there. I've also used their power washing services on numerous occasions and it's excellent too. They're humble that way - they don't realize how their work continues to be present in their clients each day.

The workers arrived on time and did a fantastic job. My home is sparkling and they removed all the debris from the gutter cleaning and hosed down the deck. I received a prompt invoice with a link to pay by credit card. After looking at the initial job, there were a couple spots that were missed. Awful. This guy…read moreseemed decent enough during an initial phone call. After a bit of back and forth by email, I was ready to move forward on a repair job but needed to make a couple small amendments in the services I requested. After asking him to make these amendments to the google docs estimate that he relies on and re-calculate his costs accordingly I presented him with a Living Social coupon that I purchased for his services. And that's when it begins: Larry didn't respond to me for weeks. I phoned him and emailed just to follow-up to see what was going on. After two weeks of stringing me along, he sent me an email with the exact same estimate as before, completely ignoring my previous request. Once again I ask him to amend it. After doing so, he has his staff write up a "contract" which again neglects to mention the amendments I requested . I email them about this and they finally send me a new document. But wait. The next day he phones me up and accuses me of having some kind of problem or grudge ("what the hell is wrong with you"), and "driving his staff crazy" - apparently by my refusal to sign a contract that is inaccurate and insisting that all contracted labor is written down. He proceeds to send me yet another copy of the contract (why?) but instead of trying to listen and understand what's going on, let alone recognizing his repeated failures to provide an updated and accurate written estimate, he continues to rave arrogantly at me and then hangs up before giving me a chance to respond ("I gotta go. I gotta go.. click"). WTF? I truly wish I had been aware of the previous yelp review that said: "BEWARE of this vendor. They don't seem to have much integrity and the owner himself is ok with sending a sarcastic response when I, as the customer, called them on it." I completely agree with that assessment. I don't know anything about his skill as a contractor but there seems to be a pattern with how he deals with customers. He gives the impression of an incompetent, small-minded and snarky individual who wastes people's time and lacks the most basic of communication skills. Living social refunded my money in light of this ridiculousness. Hopefully, these reviews will prompt him to reconsider how he conducts himself.

This is the third time we used this HVAC service company - and only initially because when I was…read moreaway for work my husband found them in the book during an emergency when the heat wasn't working (they 'sold' him a completely new thermostat system despite ours having been new not that many years before). We had issues subsequently not only with the 2 heating zones not working multiple times (causing them to finally replace one of the new thermostats which was clearly malfunctioning - but not until after the main boss man came and was incredibly rude and tried to weasel out of taking responsibility). Then later when our A/C went out we called for service on that (which was completed sufficiently - but belabored by multiple visits eventually found to be a sticking damper). However, this latest visit to fix our condensate pump after finding a flood on the floor near the furnace (due to them being the only ones to have worked on the system in recent years - and my wish to be loyal as they had in the end -despite the pain - gotten to the root of prior problems) led to the guy fixing the piping to the pump, but never turning the system back on to test. So when we turned it on that night we found our A/C (which had previously been working flawlessly) wasn't functioning. They came today to say/find that the furnace fan wasn't running, and only after pressing for more information said it would be at least 3 days (in 80+ deg heat - with our whole family arriving for a graduation celebration next day) for them to get a new furnace fan motor and motor control board. While relaying this to me the owner (boss man again) started screaming at me that I was a problem, disrespecting his man - which was not the case AT ALL; I was nice and was helping him turn things on/off to try to assist - and that I could take care of my problem. The 2 folks in the house with me witnessing this were appalled. NEVER AGAIN. STAY AWAY!!
