Dana does Ashiatsu massage, which means foot pressure if i remember correctly. She has a couple poles attached parallel to the table from the ceiling with another silk rope for balance. Very cool set up. So the initial 30 minutes (or so), she spent breaking up all of the driving and sitting at work knots i had with her feet. I initially thought she was in with her elbows, but it was softer. Either way... I'm not sure what really occurred in my body, but i was literally weeping at times over the next two days (and i don't weep). A friend asked me whats wrong at one point in the weekend, and I'm like... nothing. Guess i just released something. So amazing... no major pain, just broke it all up, and left me extremely peaceful. She shares space with the Bikram studio... very clean space. Can be a little hard to locate her, but she can guide you in. Thanks again Dana!

My spine is a mess and I have had 6 total spine repairs - 2 of which were procedures to fuse 5 levels in my low back, and one was to fuse 2 levels in my neck. I currently have 6 herniated discs (apart from the fused levels) and moderate to severe foraminal stenosis in my neck. I have a *lot* of neck and back pain. I have had weekly massage therapy for a good 10 years and have years (accumulated) of physical therapy. I have been seeing Zoe for about 2 months now and I say with experienced perspective that she is absolutely exceptional in her knowledge and skills to provide pain relief. I also see what is the best physical therapist I have been to in Sparks, twice a week. Zoe and my PT do many of the same processes, each validating the other. Zoe has extensive (and impressive) knowledge of how the body's structures work together for function and health, and she knows what to do to mitigate pain and discomfort that result from use, misuse, and injury. I cannot imagine a better, more knowledgeable, or more relief producing massage therapist. If you seek relief from what you gave done to yourself, or what your activities have done to your physical comfort, or what age and/or wear and tear or injuries have negatively impacted you, Zoe is the real deal.

The space is small and warm, up a flight up steps and at the back of the building, away from the street. About the massage - she obviously knows what she is doing and has the strength to really have an effect. I noticed this when she met me with a very firm handshake - always a good sign. As an athlete, I felt like she knew exactly where those sore spots are and went after them, as this is often what separates a good therapist from a great one. Not surprisingly, she also ski's (turns out we had both ridden Squaw that morning) so explaining the aches from riding powder for two days was not needed; it was understood from the beginning.
