Kendra listened to everything I told her about my aches and pains and she went right in and found all the spots. She absolutely knows what she's doing. We talked about pressure and adjusted just once, really. I flinched at the tight spots that were giving me a problem and she adjusted to work on them without just going in to apply more pressure and make it hurt (I know y'all know what I'm talking about with some masseuses using that approach). It was relaxing and therapeutic and left me happy and walking on clouds afterwards. Oh, and the heated table, with addition of heated (rice?) bags FINALLY kept me warm during a massage. My body temperature drops when I get a massage and I'm ALWAYS cold. It was 75 degrees outside...it could have been 90....and I'd still be cold during a massage. But this time...ohhh...heaven. And fyi, the location was perfection for me. After the massage, I walked across the plaza to FiftyFifty Brewing and bought a bottle of their stout (would have had lunch but it was kinda late), then headed 1/2 mile over to the Raley's ONE for groceries before heading the hour & 15 min drive to Downieville. My spine is a mess and I have had 6 total spine repairs - 2 of which were procedures to fuse 5 levels in my low back, and one was to fuse 2 levels in my neck. I currently have 6 herniated discs (apart from the fused levels) and moderate to severe foraminal stenosis in my neck. I have a *lot* of neck and back pain. I have had weekly massage therapy for a good 10 years and have years (accumulated) of physical therapy. I have been seeing Zoe for about 2 months now and I say with experienced perspective that she is absolutely exceptional in her knowledge and skills to provide pain relief. I also see what is the best physical therapist I have been to in Sparks, twice a week. Zoe and my PT do many of the same processes, each validating the other. Zoe has extensive (and impressive) knowledge of how the body's structures work together for function and health, and she knows what to do to mitigate pain and discomfort that result from use, misuse, and injury. I cannot imagine a better, more knowledgeable, or more relief producing massage therapist. If you seek relief from what you gave done to yourself, or what your activities have done to your physical comfort, or what age and/or wear and tear or injuries have negatively impacted you, Zoe is the real deal.

Beware when paying in cash…read more. I'm extremely disappointed with our experience, especially because this was supposed to be a birthday celebration for my parents. An upgraded treatment was added to their service without their approval, which increased the price. When it came time to pay, my parents paid with a $200 bill, but they were not given their full change back. $60 was kept without their permission. When they asked about the missing change, they were told to excuse themselves. I personally confronted the owner/employee about the situation and asked for $30 back out of the $60 that was owed to my parents to be returned. Instead of addressing the issue professionally, she became angry with me and asked me to leave and continued to argue in her language . As if a 20% tip was not enough for her service. Regardless of the service itself, customers should be informed before being charged for an upgrade, and they should receive the correct change from their payment. This experience was very disappointing and took away from what was supposed to be a special birthday celebration. I hope the business takes this feedback seriously and handles situations like this more professionally in the future.

I HIGHLY recommend him to anyone looking to work through a specific issue, or even if you just want a deep reset to the body. I initially began seeing Jay years ago for chronic lower back pain. He is the first person I call when I have a flare up, and need to begin repairing myself. What I should really be doing is seeing Jay on a more regular basis for this, to help prevent the issue from occurring. I have no doubt his methodical and purposeful body work sessions would do just that. I also experienced a knee injury last winter and began seeing Jay for this as well. At the time I was going to physical therapists, doing regular strength building exercises, and receiving acupuncture... in search of any way to relieve the pain. Without a doubt the most immediate relief I experienced was after a session with Jay. In a world where I seem to continuously beat up my body, I am thankful I have Jay to provide deeply effective structural integration.
