Victoria, in Arlington Hts, is great. After going to 2 other places to see about hearing aids, I settled on her.

I was never informed about this fee, was explicitly told it's a trial with free return during that period, and I was pressured to sign an agreement on the spot without being given time to read or understand it, which is outright illegal. The customer service was the worst I've ever encountered. Dr. Brienne Honan falsely claimed I was told about the fee, even though she wasn't even present when I signed. She appears willing to say whatever is necessary to protect the business, regardless of the truth. I returned to the office over nine times because I still couldn't hear in real-world settings (non-Bluetooth), and they still couldn't fix the issue. So I asked for something covered by my insurance to which they said no - they only want to sell Phonak and oticon. They have no empathy and did not care that I was crying to them that I couldn't hear (wouldn't even offer a tissue from the box on her desk). After spending thousands of dollars and receiving no real support, I can't in good conscience recommend this place. The manipulation, dishonesty, and lack of accountability speak volumes. Dr. Honan does not have the attitude for customer-facing service. She escalated and made everything worse.

I booked an appointment online at Hearing Health Center for Monday at 4 PM, and called as soon as they opened, hoping for something earlier. Andrew at the front desk was amazing and got us in sooner. We saw Dr. Sheri Larks, and she was phenomenal--warm, calm, funny, and incredibly good at explaining everything. She talked my daughter through both the plan and the backup plan, then used gentle techniques to remove the wax. In just 20 minutes, all of it was out safely and effectively. My daughter can hear better now than she has in years. One more thing I appreciated: while we were in the waiting room, I noticed a few patients who seemed to have dementia or confusion--something that's apparently common with hearing issues in older adults. The staff treated them with such patience, respect, and kindness. It really stood out. Bottom line: if you're dealing with earwax, skip the at-home methods and urgent care clinics. Just come here. They're amazing.

James Wang MD PhD should be rated negative 10 stars, if the system allowed it, for his unethical behavior, disregard of the patient safety and abandonment of the postoperative patient care. Wang has obviously learned nothing from the years of his medical training that he finished only last year. One peculiar detail about my postop visit with James Wang MD PhD: he laughed into my face when he realized what damage he had done to my health with his rookie surgical skills and medically unnecessary interventions... That was quite a scene, very sad, disturbing and terrifying for a patient who had just undergone the harmful medical unnecessary procedures riddled with surgical mistakes of the rookie Wang.... The nonsense people have written is complete crap. I think these people just like to hear themselves talk, and have nothing better to do than to take out their misery out on someone else!! First and foremost for the ignorance written below, he is a specialist, not a general practitioner and you are not going to an immediate care center, YOU ARE SEEING a specialist!! You see a specialist after you have gone through extensive trial and failure and you have been miserable for quite some time and it's beyond a general check up. Dr McMAhan and his staff and exceptional. You walk in the office and it's like a family!! Dr McMahan is hilarious, I can't believe the crap written here!! He gets down to the point and gives you the facts, he wants to get you better, that is HIS JOB!! He's been doing this a long time he knows what he's talking about, he doesn't dismiss any of your symptoms and makes sure there's an answer and reason for them. Even if it involves extensive testing!! Wouldn't you rather feel at ease knowing its nothing, then to go years and have something serious missed. In case you haven't noticed every ENT specialist has A ct scanner in their office it's what needs to be done sometimes to make sure you aren't infected anymore!! Since when is it the doctors or hospitals fault on the insurance you have? We picked it, we know how much we have to pay, and what our deductible is!! I have to meet my deductible , it has to be met before anything is covered even my monthly medications!! I know every year I have to pay it!! Dr McMahan is far from a greedy man, they have the best billing arrangements, they are flexible, easy, and have been so understanding through difficult times. I used to be sick all the time, sinus infections probably life long and never knew it, congested to the point I accustomed to it because I didn't know any better. Couldn't never smell anything. I don't have any issues, yes I get my 1-2 sinus infections but with a quick visit I can rest assure my infection is gone and the bacteria is not eating away at sinuses!! Doctors used to send me away with just basic OTC meds and never did any aggressive treatment to put an answer or end to my misery until it this cool place!! Oh and for the idiots who said its verbatim on what he tells the next person, first of all you are noisy and should stay out of another patients medical confidentiality and second of all DUH, he's a specialist he only sees patients who have sinus allergy and sleep issues, so the testing is going to be the same do you want our sinus issues solved or what!!

My physician referred me to a doctor who had an extremely long wait list, (December) to me, it was way too long to live with a 'what if I have..?' So the scheduler suggested Dr Kulik. He performed her surgery and within a half hour after surgery she was released to go home. She could barely walk to the car throwing up from anesthetic and gushing with lots of blood from her nose that was stuffed full of gauze. We had an hour drive home, and so I ran in asking, "Is this normal? Should she stay here longer until she stops some of this bleeding?" The answer was stated yes, normal by his staff. She suffered for several days with bleeding and a lot of pain and fear. It truly was a traumatic experience for her and those who cared for her during recovery. We did not expect all that was actually happening to her, because the post-surgery was not explained to us well. He left out, like CONSTANT bleeding is a warning sign that something is wrong. Fast forward to three weeks, the cast came off, her nose profile looked great but as the weeks went byher nose developed several issues. We called the office asking to schedule an appointment to address the hump at the top of her nose and ball like point on left side of the tip of her nose. At this appointment he said he could redo it in a month and "fix these concerns." We wanted second opinions. My daughter contacted three other highly rated doctors for advice. All three stated they would NEVER have surgery on her nose for at least a year. It needed to heal completely for a year or more first. They said her skin could die and turn black and fall off to do a surgery too soon. We were also told that Dr. Wiseman CAUTERIZED HER TURBINATES, a practice done years ago but banned now because of the damage it does to your ability to breathe. The whole reason she needed this surgery, to breathe better. We found him to be rude and arrogant when asking about true concerns on procedures, expectations, and recovery. He truly showed no compassion for his big mistakes and became unreachable for questions. Before her corrective surgery, her qualified doctor was shocked of my daughter's surgery notes from Dr. Wiseman. They were vague and incomplete, leaving this new doctor guessing on what he would find when he got into her surgery. For my daughter and our family this has been the most emotionally devastating experience. If I could rate negative stars, this is what Dr. Wiseman Sr. would earn. Words cannot express the warning I AM SENDING TO RECONSIDER. Two plus years later (after her skin healed enough 2023) she has had corrective surgery on the tip of her nose with a different doctor that costed 2.5 x more to have a correction done. A traumatic experience to go through.

So I went right in and Dr. Weisman was able to diagnose that I had busted an artery in my nose and then cauterize the wound. It stopped the bleeding (which had been occurring over a couple of days) and I was able to go on a plane for a business trip the next day.
