If you are reading this, just go ahead and call them and get going sooner vs later! You are not going to find a more reliable tow company, especially for the price! Huge thank you to Tommy! My experience was OUTSTANDING! I lost the rental car keys on the beach in Ft Lauderdale. I called my insurance and the rental car roadside assistance. Complete waste of several hours! Plus, way more expensive by a mile. In contrast, I received a quote for $75 to tow the rental to the rental car yard. (Other quotes much higher.) When we got to the yard Tommy helped me get my belongings out of the rental (they are a locksmith too) and also drove me back to the airport. I can't express my gratitude enough! I had been stranded on the side of the road for several hours, totally let-down by insurance and rental car companies, on a Saturday night, so I was super grateful everything was smooth and as-promised. THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!!! read more

They overcharge me to remove my car from the front of my own house. My wife is pregnant and we were loading our car with our video equipment, we have a written concern from the apartment owners to put the car there, we can't leave the car they but, it is ok to put it there when loading or unloading the car. This guy can really fast and lifted the front of my car and then he charged us 65 dollars to bring it down. This is not a service, this is stealing people's money. read more

These people are a predatory tow company. My girlfriend who lives in Grenadier Lakes which is run by Welleby management association asked me to park in her assigned parking space for the unit she resides in. I had tools I use in my profession so I backed my vehicle up in the assigned parking space. Unloaded my tools and belongings to keep them safe. I went to bed and woke up early to do some work and saw that my car missing. I woke my girlfriend to ask her if she moved my car which she had not. I located my keys and told her that I was going to call the police which she said I should first contact the towing company which post signs around the property. Apron reaching them they acknowledged they had towed my vehicle because it was illegally parked. I explained that the vehicle was in the assigned spot for the residence. They told me that the vehicle was backed into the spot and the monitoring company for the association contacted them. They stated the tow fee was $130.52 and storage fees would start if I didn't pick my car up. Disbelief of what kind of scab organization was behind something like that. I arrived at there location one hour after they had towed my car and was forced to pay a fee of $130.52 and if using a credit card it would be +3%. They asked for my registration which was in my car. They wouldn't allow me to retrieve it, I was not allowed on the lot but they would take my keys and rifle through my glove box and get it for me (because I backed in). If out of sheer principle of how they do business I how this review will dissuade you from ever using any services from this company. They have no signs that indicate your vehicle has to be parked forward or any rules indicating stipulations read more

I called to have my 2000 jetta door opened. I was told "about 55 dollars" The locksmith arrives tells me "well since the lock is broke its gonna cost extra." I told him "I don't need the lock repaired Just open the passenger door because the driver door might have other issues." he then says "well lets see... " he takes out two bladders and a metal rod and opens the car door in less than a minute. Ten the price went to 95, because of fees and the call estimate. thats not even close tot he 55.. I would have been cool with 75. and he didn't give a receipt. read more

Sonic Lock'N Tow is probably one of the few businesses that I have found to be excellent and wonderful in everyway, since moving here to South Florida three years ago. I get so worried every time I reach out to look for a contractor or business of some sort, as most have usually left me looking for another repair guy. Not the case here! The updated me was they were on the way to my location and prompt when answering the phone. Skyel went above and beyond to help me, and super friendly on top of that. I will definitely call them again in the future. Thank you again for all your help Skyel. read more

This place is a complete scam, they towed 4 cars today from my apartment complex today of which was mine when my registration was only two days late, when I said I will go get the paperwork to show him he said okay I'll wait...then took off with my car, then my neighbor had the same thing happen to her and we are here now trying to get our cars back, she found him towing her car outside so she rushed out to see what was going on with her baby in her hand and he said it would be $65 for her to get her car back, so she ran in to get the money and he said he would wait, and she ran in put her baby down got the money, and ran out and he was taking off with her car, she rushed and followed him with her husband's car asking him what tow place will it be at, and that she has the 65 cash and he says "well too late now I've left the preeminence so now it's 200" I've never heard of such a thing, how can someone take off with your car if they say that they're going to wait for you to give him the money, what a complete scam! And they're not even supposed to tow a car less it's 60 days late on the registration and I was only 2 days late!!! All I'm going to say is they have bad karma coming there way with the way there working things. read more

Last Thursday night, after having one too many drinks at the bar, I blacked out. The next morning I woke up in my bed with no memory of the night before, and my keys were missing. After a few days, I gave up the search and started calling local locksmiths. On my set of keys was the only ignition key to my Yamaha scooter, which was still parked in the lot of the local bar with a note begging not to be towed. My search for a locksmith began on Yelp as does my search for most things. I needed a new key cut from my ignition, and received two quotes: $160 and $200 from two other locksmiths with great 5 star ratings. A third locksmith referred me to Sonic, and I received a quote of $145 via text message. At first, I decided not to go with Sonic, because I looked them up on Yelp and saw only a 1 star review that sounded pretty ominous. But after trying, I couldn't get the other guys to meet me when I needed them. I decided to try Sonic after further text messages, and I was told that if he couldn't cut the key, there would be no charge, so I figured I didn't have much to lose. The Sonic guy, whose name I don't recall, arrived on time in a parking lot in Wilton Manors where my scooter remained untowed. At first, it sounded like he may need to order a longer key, but he tinkered around with what he had and was able to cut my new ignition key! It took about 15 - 20 minutes. My Sonic locksmith was very polite, on time, and saved me $15-$55! It is hard for me to imagine that he is the same guy from the bad review. Anyway, my experience was good. Thanks Sonic Guy! read more

They were pretty late but I can't complain given the price and service. Got a new key in just a few minutes.

I work for a valet company and called sonic to cut a new key for one that we lost on the lot. We ended up finding the key before they got there and the technician tried charging us $95 for a "service call" $95?? Sonic was going to charge us $150 for the replacement key and $95 for just showing up and no key? I received rude and insulting calls and texts from the dispatcher after they were told we had found the key. I threatened to file a complaint with the BBB and the guy told me they weren't listed! what a joke! NEVER use these guys for anything. read more

Sky showed up and troubleshot the situation. Very efficient and great to work with! Definitely will use again for our locksmith issues.

My nurses car was booted last night and called at 630 to have someone remove it. I've called at least 7 or 8 times now and I keep getting the same response....someone is in route or they will be there in 15 minutes. It's is now 9:22 and no one has shown up. I hope you have nothing to do while waiting for this company. Horrible service read more

I woke up Saturday morning (9/19/15) and went to start my car -- it started, then died, started and then died, did this about 3-4 more times before it just wouldn't start anymore. Naturally, my first thought was my battery or starter are bad. I spent majority of the day troubleshooting possible reasons of why this was happening. I finally gave up and decided to call a tow truck and get it taken to a buddy's mechanic shop. As the tow truck was in the driveway, I noticed the security light flashing on the dash which could have something to do with my key and computer. I called a locksmith who didn't offer mobile service and was eventually referred to Sonic Locksmith. After talking with Sky, he reassured me that it was definitely my key and that he would be able to come to me immediately, cut and program a new key and I would be on my way. Not only did he travel from Hollywood to Pompano Beach in 25 minutes but he was literally on site for 20 minutes before he was done. Hearing my car start was a thing of beauty, I was stressing badly thinking I'd have to spend all day at the mechanic on Monday and miss out on work at my warehouse. No work = no money, my stress level was high. Sky took great care of me and he definitely made a customer for life. I will always recommend him to all of my friends and family and to any stranger as well. His service is quick and efficient and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed. Thanks again Sky! read more

My husband and I went out for my birthday on Friday night and when we were packing up to leave our vacation place, we couldn't find the key to our 2014 4 Runner. My husband contacted the valet from where we had dinner the night before and they didn't have the key. The 4Runner is push to start so me figured someone had our key, because the car should NOT lock with the key inside. Issac got to us a little later than he anticipated, but, he was able to open our car and guess what we found in the cup holder? You guess right, the key to our car! Issac was a great guy and he had to suck up the charge the dealership charged him for the part he need to make us a key. Instead of being $350 as we were quoted, Issac charged us $82! We were on our way home a little later than planned, but were so happy for Issac's help! read more

Wow!! What a great towing company! They are professional, knowledgable and even dropped me off to pick up a new rental car. I lost the keys to my rental car and they towed the car to the rental maintenance lot. The driver was especially professional and fast. They even make keys and remotes for cars! A nice vacation with friends went bad when my teenager left her car at a PUBLIX parking lot in Fort Lauderdale. It got towed within 24 hours. When she went to retrieve the vehicle, the tow company SONIC LOCK N TOW refused to release the vehicle to her because the title was in her parents name due to her being too young to buy a car and have adequate credit as a college student. Both parents, living in another state, worked for over 5 hours to send any documentation that may be needed to the tow company to release the car so the teenager was not stranded 13 hours away from her residence. Her pre-paid reservations at the hotel was up. Parents living in another state, sent pictures of their driver's license, insurance cards, willing to send the title of the car and emailed to the tow company their required Hold Harmless Form signed by the parent and notarized. The towing company refused all of this and required the owners to either be there in person or have the original hold harmless form mailed - signed and notarized - no copies or emails. Teenager was refused her car and spent 24 hours waiting on documentation to be Fed Ex'd. read more

They showed up right when they said they would. Fair price. Friendly and cautious driver.

this company just goes around putting boots on cars to collect the removal fee. car with valid registration and well parked and still got the boot. on top of that they take forever to take it off the car and the people are rude. not that I wanted to deal with them in the first place but if I had to use a towing company I wouldn't pick this one. read more
