Sonic's are a great old-school drive-in. We recently ate at one in Arvada. The only change from our prior Sonic experiences is this doesn't have carhop service at your car and it worked out well. You drive past a drive-through window for placing your order and picking it up. Then you drive back to the front and select a parking space under a roof. The service was worth the visit and the smash buger was just as fantastic. Kat was one of the most friendliest server I've encountered in a long while. When I asked for a different straw after I broke mine, she made it her most important thing to take care of all while having the greatest smile. You need a army of Kats and everything tasting as good as that burger you would have a line waiting from open to close. read more

Slow thats all there is its been over and hour wait for our food. They said it was delayed till 7:30 when it was already 8 pm

The service was extremely disappointing. I've never experienced such slow service at a fast food place. I ordered two medium shakes and waited 20 minutes before reminding the staff, only to be told I could either wait another 15 minutes or get a refund. I chose the refund. Sonic was a huge refreshment in terms of fast food. Since I come from the West Coast, Sonic is a very hard to find place. Since this little fast food chain was literally right down the street from where we lived, it was a great place to grab a quick bite to eat. When I first visited Sonic's, I was really confused about their setup and how it worked exactly. Seeing as Sonic's offers a one-of-a-kind experience in terms of ordering and delivering food, I wasn't sure where to even start. Basically, you pull up into one of the parking spots, press the red button, order your food, and eat in the car! I've tried just about everything on their menu - mostly anyways - but one of the things that I remember greatly was their shakes and tater tots. Mmm, definitely a delicious little treat for a hungry tummy. Overall, my experiences at this Sonic's were pleasant, except for a couple of occasions they got my order wrong or the server had an attitude - but all in all, I'd recommend this place if you've never tried it! read more

This Sonic is reasonably fast; the food is the same as every other Sonic. They always forget the cherry in my drink though. If you don't like turning out of the driveway onto Maguire (which can be busy at times,) there's an exit via the alley that puts you onto North Street, but it's very narrow & has a hella speed bump -- don't try it if you ride low. read more

I'm tired of every time I come here my order is messed up. No matter if it's during rush hour or late night. On numerous occasions I've ordered onion rings and they were old onion that looked as if they were cooked yesterday. My drinks are always wrong or my drink is made half a$$ with little or no flavoring. My drink is always missing cherries when I order a cherry limeade. I won't be returning. Really, really bad. Our order ended up being wrong, most Sonic's do a pretty good job of getting the order right, not this one. My husband's fries were nasty and my onion rings were probably the worst onion rings I've ever tried, they were so overdone they disintegrated in a disgusting crunch. Gross. read more

I work for the Warrensburg School District and we use Sonic ALOT! Especially drinks. They always get them correct, put the names on them and load them in my car! Not one was incorrect and we had 20 of them. Let me throw in that their ice cream is to die for! For 2.37, I am in heaven! read more

I ordered the hickory cheeseburger and mini order of cheddar bites with marinara sauce. The order came to $5.45, in which 25¢ was the marinara sauce charge. First of all, why is Sonic the only place I get charged for my first sauce. This is the minor irritant. The major irritation, is that I gave the car hop $6, but did not get my change back. The common principle is that they should always automatically begin to give you your change back. However, I guess she assumed that I didn't want my change, she just turned and walked away. I'm sitting there with my hand out waiting for my change and flabbergasted. I love the food at Sonic, but the prices and staff ethics are ridiculous. I do not tip fast food restaurants. Note to self folks: hand over exact change! This made my opinion of this venue, unfortunately, very sour. read more

I'm pretty disappointed with the service I just received tonight. As a former employee of a Sonic I know well how you're supposed to answer a monitor and how to take care of a customer. I understand that half price shakes and happy hour aren't the best of times there and things get stressful. But, the male who answered the monitor said "what would you like?". After telling him he answered back "what?" I repeated myself and he then told my total and hung up the monitor without even a "thanks" or "have a good night". The female who brought my order was great. She was smiling and read back my order. Told me thanks and to have a good night. But the male needs more training. Not happy with their service tonight. If I was a mystery shop the male would have definitely gotten this sonic a bad score. read more
