Let me start by saying I really enjoy Sonic. It's one of the best fast food places around. Their quality of food surpasses that of McDonald's Burger King, Wendy's , etc. But this trip was all sorts of failure on Sonic's end. First, my wife orders a burger plain with only ketchup... Let's repeat that... ONLY KETCHUP. That doesn't mean you get to make the burger as if it were your own personal art canvas by dressing it with all sorts of vegetables that were never summoned to begin with. But by the way they slammed more lettuce, tomato and onion any single human being would overdose on You would have thought with how gracious they were with the produce, that my wife spent the previous night at her bedside praying, "Dear Sonic Jesus, Please let the fine people at your Sonic franchise on Golf Links in Tucson, AZ plaster my burger with enough veggies to provide nutrients to six different African tribes in Ghana." On the contrary, she simply wanted ONLY KETCHUP on her burger. Not Ketchup with lettuce, not ketchup with lettuce and tomato and certainly not ketchup with lettuce, tomato and onion. I get it, it's fast food and most of the workers are 17-21 just waiting for their next job, but I worked fast food in my life and when a person says "only" that generally means "nothing else other than what I specifically request.". Hell, just have a slight grasp of the English language and you should understand what the word "only" means. As for my burger... Where were my freaking pickles and mustard? I asked for lettuce, pickles and mustard. As opposed to what I paid for, I ended up with a cold burger with slimy lettuce and no mustard or pickles. For the love of God, all I wanted was my burger and it was freaking cold and not what I asked for at all. The only reason this gets two stars instead of one is that the cheese tots were on par with a normal order of Sonic cheese tots. I'll be back to Sonic and to this location at some point, but I hope that it was just a one time occurrence, otherwise I'll just have to openly complain some more and give another location a shot. read more

I was hanging out at the drive in stall waiting, and after thirty minutes I decided to start yelping. Because I don't have Facebook anymore, I Yelp. No judgement. I just don't want to see my almost ex husband all over the motherfreaking Internet. I digress. We ordered three corn dogs, three Jr burgers, and three small tots. Dollar menu diva and loving it!!! So I was sitting there giving my one star Yelp review because I was pissed off at the long wait. I'm off every Sunday and I love being a fatty on said Sunday. This Sunday is no different. I even went at 4:30pm. Long before the dinner rush. I got home (three minute drive) at 5:09pm. It took forever. I added two stars because my car hop had informed me that the manager upgraded our small tots to medium. I feel like Beyoncé. "Lemme upgrade ya!" My inner fatty was pleased. My nameless car hop was also super nice. Now, to the food. I usually crave sonic and then live in a world full of regret for the next few hours. This time it was pretty damned good! No regrets. This location is notorious for taking 25 plus minutes when you order ahead. You pull up,enter the stall number, then wait, and wait, then wait some more. The time of day doesn't seem to have any impact. The staff is pleasant. They are just spread thin. read more

just came from sonic drive thru on golflinks and was very disappointed with my double cheeseburger not so much the taste but appearance. before i went there i looked on the computer for the menu and saw these big burgers the buns looking like how most buns look when you buy at the store. what i got were both buns that looked like someone squished both buns which looked more like wafers than buns. i dont usually order any kind of sauce as it makes the burgers soggy and messy but even with no kind of sauces the burger looked like they they made it on a wet counter.i asked for extra lettuce and when i got home in less than a minute looked to see if they added more lettuce which they didnt only to find what looked like waterlogged translucent lettuce which explains the soggy ass buns. does it take a college degree to make a burger or just someone who cares enough about their job representing a restaurant that specializes in burgers. i use to love their onion rings they were the best but is it policy now to put a few burnt partially unbreaded onion rings in the bag i guess someone has to get the rejects unfortunately it was me. i wouldnt recommend this location if you really want a burger that hasnt been squished and soggy. only gave them 1 star too bad they dont have half a star . read more

I've been to this Sonic several times because it is so close to where I work. The service is always unbelievably slow but yesterday took the cake. I ordered on diet cherry limeade off the app. I've been craving sonic ice and I love their mobile app and the deals that come with using it so even though I'm not a fan of this location I went. I ordered my drink at 3:49 and waited 12 mins before getting fed up and pulling into the drive through. While I was waiting in the drive through which was also ridiculously slow, I kept an eye on the stall I had been in to see if they were going to deliver my drink. They never did. By the time I pulled up to the window I had been waiting 22 mins for a drink. Not a milkshake or a meal, a simple, easy to make drink. The girl who handed it to me seemed rushed and handed it over without much of an apology. I would have called the manager yesterday to complain but by then my one year was screaming in the backseat after having to wait for that long. I won't be back again, which is a shame because I like to treat my coworkers to drinks and treats all the time. Oh well, I'll go to the Harrison location instead. read more

Honestly I am not one to harp on service from a fast food joint however being that my girlfriend and I both enjoy sonic I just would like to say that this is probably the last visit we will be making. The last five times we have came we have shrugged off the employees lackadaisical "anything else, anything else, anything else " while trying to order attitude. However this time the food was rotten and not even cooked , don't bother asking to get it fixed because they will make you feel like you are bothering them. Waited over 25 minutes for my meal!! Pressed the intercom after 15 minutes and the girl goes oh yeah we will be out with it shortly...another 10 minutes go by and nothing! Pressed intercom again and another girl answered and said they lost our ticket. And asked if I still wanted our order. Talked to the manager on shift and she asked if I wanted a free drink (knowing I had ordered 2 drinks with my order). When I asked for a free meal or coupons she said they dont do that. It's a Sonic. If you've been to one, you know what I'm talking about. If you haven't, then go! Sonic's got delicious food and you need to try it. We stopped in the other day for ice cream after a day at the zoo. There were four of us and we got a vanilla shake, strawberry shake, chocolate malt, and a cherry slush. All were great and the service was quick. I've been here one other time by myself at the start of summer. I wanted to try a shake after not having gone to Sonic in years. I got there and ordered, but the price seemed kind of high for whatever I got that day. I asked why that was (not to complain, just seriously wondering if I'd added something wrong) and the girl who answered wound up upgrading my order without my asking or anything. Definitely worth stopping by on one of our awful Arizona-heat summer days. read more

What happened to this Sonic location?? This was the one I used to go to growing up. The food used to be amazing for fast food. This was the second time I had bad experience here. The first time I ordered a burger with no tomatoes and add green chile. The car hop was quick with the order. Cheeseburger WITH tomato and no green chile, but with jalapeños. Ugh. So I settled and tossed the tomatoes and dealt with the jalapeños. Fine. Start eating, and it seems like this burger was sitting waiting for someone to order to escape lukewarm heatlamps. Cold burger. So disappointing. Today I decided to give it another shot. I pull in to one of the stalls and push the red button. Nothing. Again. Nothing. Move to another stall on the other side, only to find a small piece of tape stating out of order, move to other stall. Really? How about putting a cone out alerting it's not working?! Finally find a stall next to a car with an employee sharing some 'smoke' with his buddy. Place my order : double bacon cheeseburger no tomato with jalapeños, tater tots, Dr pepper. Yes, Leo, I'd love to make it large. I tried to add a chili cheese dog but he already had my total on the screen and was off the mic. OK. The car hop hands my bag and reads the order off: cheeseburger was right, med FRIES, MED Dr pepper!!!! Really?! Took a sip of the Dr Pepper and yuck!!! I wasn't going to complain, but the car hop was walking past so I told her about the soda. Her reply, "yeah the Dr pepper isn't working." Then why do I have it???? She brought me back a large saying her manager, Leo, fixed it!!! I said "he was the one who took my order, and everything was jacked up!" Wow. Oh, and I'm really not sure why the fries are soaked with grease, like the fryer isn't up to temp. Really really poor quality all around . The burgers always seem to be lukewarm. Customer service is horrible. The worker talking through the speaker just sounded like they hated their job, the worker at the window was rude and tried to charge us $5 more than what it should of been until I corrected them, and then they got our order wrong and when we corrected that they slammed the drive through window with attitude. Definitely need better customer service training. read more
