This place is a public health hazard. Served raw chicken sandwiches which made people sick as a result of consuming said sandwiches. Manager had little to no regard whatsoever about the issue or the severity thereof; immediately started blaming his crew. Some leader - apparently he forgot that he should be providing the leadership and oversight necessary to prevent or at very minimum, mitigate these things from happening. Attempted to escalate the issue to corporate with photos and receipt. Have yet to receive a reply from an actual person. This place needs a major overhaul; cleaning, training, and most importantly, someone with the sphere of influence necessary to place food safety as a number one priority. read more

I'm not a frequent customer of Sonic, but I do visit this location when I'm in the mood for it. After this experience, however, I can't see myself returning for a very long time. I stopped by around 10pm after work and ordered a chicken strip dinner. I waited at the drive-thru order box for a minute or two before they acknowledged me, and when I got to the window, I was met with lukewarm service. When I received my food, I noticed that the tenders were extremely small - about the size of a buffalo wing. I brought this to the attention of the staff, and the girl who helped me basically told me that that's how the chicken strips come and that she never orders them herself because of their size. When I got home, I was able to see just how bad the quality of the food was. The gravy was very gelatinous and was an off-putting dark color. The chicken strips, aside from being abnormally small, were also an odd color. The tots were stale and had a greasy aftertaste, and the toast was overdone and bitter. Lastly, the onion ring was the absolute worst part of the meal. It was hard as a rock, and as I examined it further, I noticed that the onion itself was so dark and burnt that I was able to literally break it in half. It shattered in my hands. All of the food seemed to me to have been kept warm for hours. Having worked in the food industry myself for the better part of a decade, I am extremely patient and understanding of food service workers. I generally always give them the benefit of the doubt, and it's been my policy not to take issue with anything unless I have received food or service that I would not provide to a customer in my own workplace. I would have never served a customer the meal I received - every single item was hours old and was way past its sell-by time. I would be embarrassed to sell the food they sold to me. I did call the store after arriving home, and spoke to a manager who was very apologetic. She offered me a refund, which I did appreciate, and she seemed to be receptive of my complaints. I can only hope after this experience that management takes note of the standards their employees deem acceptable and correct them to hopefully prevent this from happening in the future. read more

Wow. Just had the worst service experience I've ever had. We were waiting at sonic for 20 minutes and call in and they say they screwed up the order, gave it to the wrong car and have to remake it, the lady who messed up the order brings it out without say anything to us and shoos us away as if we were making a big fuss about it. The mess up wasn't a big deal at all and we were fine with the mistake until we were treated like that. She had tattoos, nose piercing, dark hair, and glasses. Have tried this sonic multiple times to see if I just caught them on a bad day. After 3 times, its the place. Strawberry water has 2 pieces of strawberry in it and no strawberry flavor. Shakes are always melted. Just over all low quality even for sonic. read more

This is the first sonic and possibly the worst. I've tried here a few times and the food tastes as per other Sonics. Where the service is concerned, either they have had the same headset speaker system since pre historIc times or their staff is plain rude. Many a times you get asked what was that unless you're yelling while articulating , and then you hear laughs. Car hops take forever to get the food and expect tips. This is the only fast food restaurant where a service will get worse for non tippers as if they are serving Michelin Star dishes. Actually, it's probably the first Sonic that started out as a Sonic, instead of as a Top Hat. (The first Top Hat was in Shawnee, but I think it's gone now.) I went to Sonic at 8:30 on Friday night and I ordered a small cookie dough blast and on the other side I got a blunt, monotone "no." Which was fine and I took it as a joke. If you love long waits, employees that sound like they hate their job, and hair in your food, then this is the perfect place for you! I have tried this Sonic three different times over the past year and each time has sucked in their own way. On the first occasion after a 20-30 minute wait, I was given the wrong order, then had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes to get what I paid for. The second time I stopped by, I had to explain to an employee what their Dulce de leche shake was and then got a 20 minute wait for that Dulce shake and a chocolate shake. My most recent visit was by far the worst. I order two basic blasts, nothing special or modified. It took them 35 minutes to deliver the two and they had clearly been melting for quite awhile. To make matters worse, I ended up finding hair in one of the blasts. I have worked in the food service industry for quite some time now, so I completely understand that every place has their accidents and bad moments. However, I will not be going back to this location, because these events seem to be the norm here. Since they rebuilt, I have had nothing but good experiences here!! One that really stands out happened tonight, with Dennis, who works overnights. The store was out of cake for the birthday cake shakes, so Dennis went out of his way to make a specialty for me. It isn't on the menu, but he said he'd ring it up as a vanilla and make it himself. A few minutes later, he brings it out and lets me try it. It was AMAZING, and the service made it so much better. He ran it back in to get a lid and the rest of my order. Then, as the carhop brought it out, he buzzed me and let me know that if I ever want it again, that I can ask for him during the overnight shift. Dennis went above and beyond and I am SO impressed with him! I plan on calling the company and shouting praises, because I have never come across an employee like him. read more

I ordered my food on the stall next to us because my roommate had already linked his up to the one we were in. We were approached by an employee named Chad. Usually I have really good experiences here. But tonight, not so much. I don't know who took our order, but we asked for the chicken dinner combo with fries not tots. Pretty simple. But she says no, the dinner doesn't come with either fries or tots. When we get our food, lo and behold, there were tots with the chicken combo, when she said it didn't come with anything else, when we asked for fries specifically. So we bought extra fries for no reason and wasted a bit of money. It had been a long day already so we left it as it was and didn't do anything. But I was surprised that the person taking our order didn't even know the menu items. I know this is a dumb problem to have and there are much worse things that can happen, but the woman's tone with us was very rude and ruined our dining experience. I'll still eat there, since this seems to have been a one time thing.
