I'm a frequent customer of the Sonic at 10414 Page Avenue, Overland MO 63132. Today, I tried to place a $16 drive-thru order. It was at 7:15 PM CST. First, the girl at the window (Black female) took forever to take my order over the intercom. Then, she did not ask if I wanted fried or tots. Then, she did not ask if I wanted anything with my main meal order. When I pulled up to the window to pay, I simply & innocently asked her if I could get tots, since she didn't ask. She got argumentative and said that she couldn't read my mind as far as what I wanted, and she rudely read what I told her my order was back to me. I asked for my debit card back, and she said sure and closed the window on me. Horrible customer service. I won't be going back to that Sonic again, or maybe any of them. Her attitude cost them $16 tonight and a lot more in the future. And then when I tried to call the store to ask for a manager when I got home, the phone just rang & rang, no answer. read more

Not only have they forgotten my drinks multiple times when I have a delivery order, but the night shift never picks up the damn phone! Tonight I ordered $12 worth of shakes (2 shakes btw) along with food. We got the food but our shakes were missing AGAIN!! When I called, it rang for a full 2 minutes before I got a busy signal. I did that a few times. Not only that but I've had to remind them about my drinks AT THE WINDOW during my last visit!!! I think sonic has gone way down hill. I used to love their corndog, chili dog and cheese fries. Yet none of these are any good anymore. I also think they need to reteach employees how to make a cherry lineage. It used to be a good mix of all ingredients now it's just syrupy crap. Also customers are bottle dumb. This is by far the worst sonic on this planet....the speaker operator got my order wrong and when I got to the window he tried to argue with me about it...secondly the lady who took over got mad at me as if it was my fault her operator got it wrong. What a mess. First: There were about 10 cars in line when I got there, and it took about 20 minutes to place my order. Second: The line was because the outdoor speaker (where you place your order) was broken - had to place the order at the window. The lady said it had been broken for several weeks. Car after car drove in and out without service at all and there's suspect of them peddling drugs out of the drive through - NEVER GO TO THIS SONIC unless they do a total re hiring of staff. This Sonic is just consistently bad. We keep giving it another chance every year or so because it's close and we usually like Sonic, but this one is just the worst. Well I gave this place another try and low and behold a wonderful young man who's going to go far in life with with his attitude, accuracy and just his whole demeanor walks out and restores our face. Shift Manager Josh is an amazing man, he did everything right. He was very welcoming and pleasant. Why can't all of the younger people be like Josh, Josh is going to go far. In that matter of moments we could tell Josh had a great spirit and I wish him the greatest in all he does!! The food service industry should hire Josh and pay Josh great money to train all of the food service workers that aren't doing their job and are lacking. Never had a good experience at this location. I have tried to give them the benefit of the doubt multiple times but now I'm just fed up. Orders are NEVER correct, even the simplest of things get messed up, example: a burger with all toppings and no Mayo. Instead you get a burger with extra Mayo and no toppings. I placed an order for a milkshake and some tots online. When I got there they told me the shake machine was down. They also told me they couldn't issue me a refund. I had to call support and they issued me a refund but it takes 5 to 7 days to get my money. I also drove about 20 miles round-trip to go to this location and asked to be compensated as gas is extremely expensive. They refused to compensate me for the inconvenience. The best reason to go to Sonic is to create your own drink! This time I went with my favorite; the Cherry-Vanilla Diet Coke during Happy Hour (2-4pm)!!! The service is always good and the drinks are seriously the best part of any Sonic! Now that it is getting warmer out I know I'll be back for their Cream Slush! Yum! Blue-Coconut Slushes are also really good! I could go on and on with recommendations for what to try from their flavor menu! Usually one of my favorite fast food joints. Just got through the drive through, was missing honey mustard. Went back through the drive through, turns out they had none and just hoped I wouldn't notice, and that they had also forgotten a $6 order of cheddar bites. When we called back to the location the manager was extremely rude and wouldn't credit the amount. He also hung up on us. So we called corporate who said they are going to look into it. I've never written a bad fast food review before, as I know that fast food is a lot of people's first job, I've worked fast food and I know it sucks, but I've been going here for a decade, and in the past few months the service has slowed to an unbearable level. I've been routinely sitting in the drive-thru waiting for a few drinks for over half an hour the past few weeks. Almost every time, there is some kind of confusion about the order. I've tried the stalls and had them forget our order existed, then the screen said it was being brought out, then it disappeared, and no one ever came, until the wait got so ridiculous that we pressed the button again to remind them that we were waiting, twice in the past few weeks. One of those orders was 3 drinks and 3 corn dogs, and we waited nearly an hour, which led to plenty of time to just sit back and watch what they were doing that could possibly make this take so long. Sometimes the employees just stand around talking to each other with people's orders sitting right at the drive-thru window and a line stretching back onto Page. The order in which they bring out people's stuff is completely nonsensical. I saw someone who was in a stall before I pulled up, while the drive thru line filled and emptied multiple times, and eventually, after an absurdly long time, they were brought out two small drinks. Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito... no onions... add mushrooms... Chili cheese dog... with onions and fritos.... At the moment they have a variety of solid hot dogs hot dogs ("Chicago Style," Kraut w/ Onions) for $1.99. The fact that I can get a solid Chicago style hot dog with tots and a blue Powerade slushie (or a strawberry limeade, if I'm feeling giddy) for under FIVE BUCKS puts this above the vast majority of fast food places. Anyway when I worked nearby, my friend Christy and I would go out to lunch most days at work. We came here fairly often. One time we had ordered our food, ate, and then Christy went ahead and ordered a shake to go. The car hop comes out, money is transacted, and the car hop hands the shake to my friend and asks "Do you like milk?"
