ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE First we had to wait 30 minutes for our food, then they gave us a burger with onions(I'm allergic and asked for no onions), so we sent it back and had to wait another 30 minutes for our food and our burger STILL had onions on it. Then we asked to remake it again so I didn't have to go to the hospital for an allergic reaction, and the next burger actually didn't have onions but I got FOOD POISONING from it. Not to mention I got food poisoning the day that the category 5 tornado was hitting my town, meaning I could have died because of the food poisoning. I went here a few months back when I was in town for a funeral. I live out in California now, but I am from Oneonta. The sonic here has slightly different drink options, and I had a few questions. David, the manager came out to talk to me, and was just very nice. He suggested a drink called Sun Drop, that he liked(we dont have that here) and I tried it. He was spot on, it was very good. His nice and friendly attitude was a great relief for me in a hard time. read more

Should have been good, I wanted it to be good, but 15 minutes after eating my meal I had the worst case of diarrhea I had experienced in quite some time. Stopped in for some ice cream, and was disappointed! We ordered the brownie chunk blast and a banana split. No banana in the banana split! Who doesn't know Sonic? My take? A nostalgic take on fast food that allows to arrive in your car, order in your car, pay from your car, eat in your car, and then drive away. This is the ultimate for folks that " don't want to go in" but still have a craving for ice cream or a hot dog. I think I've eaten just about everything on the menu board (not at one time!) and liked everything. OK, maybe not everything! I love onion rings but for some reason, their onion rings have a funny taste. I have a friend that loves them so I guess you'll have to judge them yourself! My favorite place to come and get a slushy during the hot, hot summer weather. The employees are nice and are quick on bringing your order out. The place is clean. My favorite things to order from the menu is the watermelon slushy with nerds and a cherry limeade. read more

I regularly get ice cream from here. Almost all times except for once did I get what I ordered. When I order my favorite, a Reese's blast I get vanilla ice cream with some Reese topping. My nieces and nephews who I also get ice cream for, same thing. MMS is vanilla ice cream with mm sprinkled on top, Oreos the same. It's so frustrating when I pay a premium for something and I don't get that. Every sonic I have been to is better than the oneonta one. I love sonic food! They have a menu that can please anyone! My husband and I enjoy their breakfast but they often mess up our order. I ordered the super sonic breakfast burrito and I didn't get it. My burrito I had was just the meat and cheese burrito I was already 3 bites into it when I realized it and we were in a hurry so I didn't return it. I should of. My husbands breakfast toaster was fine. I hate always feeling like I have to return my food and wait on it to be fixed. We stopped by Sonic after a sporting event in Oneonta for a "quick" bite. THIRTY (yes 30) minutes after placing our order we received our food of which 2 of the 3 items we ordered were ice cold! When I told the kid that brought the food that the tots and rings were ice cold, he went inside to "check". He then came out again to ask if we wanted them changed out as they had fresh food available. I didn't understand that step at all. Why ask?? Why not bring fresh food. He finally took the cold food inside. 5 minutes later we still do not have fresh, hot food when another person came out to tell me they were cooking fresh food. Well, the first kid lied - they did not have food ready. I asked to speak to a manager. She finally came out and brought fresh onion rings but not tots. The communication at this location is terrible and the service even worse. The manager thought all we were waiting on were onion rings. On the FIFTH trip out to our car, we got the tots. Never mind that the first kid took our bag with all our napkins, etc. The manager did apologize and said that they were overwhelmed with frying on the BOGO wing night. Likely story but there were only 4 - 6 other cars in the facility while we were there. We will not be frequenting this location again. In my opinion the manger did a poor job of handling the situation. There is little excuse to be at a Sonic for 40 minutes. read more
