Two burgers were cooked well beyond the requested temperature, and several items were forgotten altogether. When we mentioned the missing items, there didn't seem to be any sense of urgency to correct the situation. The biggest disappointment was an order of oysters that didn't arrive until after everyone else had nearly finished their meals. What surprised me most was that, despite all of these issues, a manager never once stopped by our table to check on us or acknowledge that things weren't going well. A simple visit to apologize, explain the delays, or offer assistance would have gone a long way. I understand holiday weekends are challenging for restaurants, but this felt like more than just a busy night. It seemed like there was something off with the system or process being used to manage tables, food timing, and communication between the kitchen and front-of-house staff. The good news is that this feels fixable. Better coordination, communication, and support for the serving staff--and more visible involvement from management when problems arise--would likely prevent many of the issues we experienced and make for a much better customer experience.
