While they can be a little slow when busier, the service is always friendly and efficient. Now that they added a $1.99 value menu, you can eat good food for a reasonable price. One of the few fast food places that you can get tator tots and good tator tots at that. Their onion rings aren't bad either. I just stop at times for the ice. I got the junior bacon cheeseburger with onion rings. The sandwich was a perfect size for a light eater and I have enough rings for a few meals since I ordered the medium for once. With a large diet coke, it came to less than $10. If you put a paper towel under the onion rings in a toaster oven at 400, they heat up well. Easy to get in and out from 7 Mile. Will be back. read more

Stopped by to try a smash burger. First time customer. They said weren't serving them right now. No explanation. Disappointed. Got a cheeseburger. It was good, as were the fries. Service was OK for a fast food place. Odd vibe though. Might try again. read more

This is the worst sonic I ever seen. I got a Coke, right no ice and they said they ran out of ice. It's snowing. Hshshshhs my lip OKhdhhd

So the worker was nice but, I looked behind him at the window and the coworker was making a shake with her bare hands scooping what looked like cookie dough?idk. But she was scraping the spoon and everything with no gloves. And thennnnn, me and my homegirl went through to get an Ocean water, mind u that's sprite and blue coconut syrup (I'm assuming) and we got it..... there was barely no ice in it and it tasted like just sprite with some blue dye in it. We were very disappointed read more

Got the smashburger combo. It's a fast food place so not much to report on ambiance. The workers were courteous. Don't bother with this horrible food. First the burger is tiny! The fries were cold. No condiments given. So one and done. Sorry sonic. read more

Shut it down. Knock it down brick by brick and start over. Constantly understaffed, only one working stall, and one working drive thru lane. I don't believe this place is more than 5 years old. They've NEVER had their act together, not for a single open hour. read more

food was okay but the workers inside were absolutely rude, got loud with us at the speaker for absolutely NO reason. inside you can see all of the workers literally just sitting around on their phones. got our order COMPLETELY wrong and charged us for fries we already fucking ordered. read more

I would give this place 0 stars. There is zero customer service. I asked for a milkshake they said they couldn't make one, they said they would make a "blast" which is essentially a flurry. I said okay but can I have chocolate ice cream and they said yes. I watched them make it with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce. Totally not the same thing and if they would have told me they were doing that I would have politely declined. But I paid $7 dollars for something I didn't even want. Definitely never going here ever again. read more

Poor customer service the children that they hire are extremely rude.. Ask a question concerning the delayed time on service.. Drive thru rep stated I will get to you when I get to you. At this point CLOSE LOCATION or Hire adults (at least one) to babysit the business. read more

While I stood in the lobby waiting for someone to sell me a bag of ice, to people came in from the stalls of the drive-through complaining they had not been helped at all in 20 or 30 minutes. read more

The WEIRDEST Sonic I've ever been to. Same delicious food- Sonic cheese tots are probably one of my favorite foods of all time, and their burgers are my favorite of all fast food chains. This Sonic has an indoor dining option, which is weird. Their industrial air conditioner was probably designed for warehouses or factories, because it's so loud you have to speak up to be heard over it. They have TVs to watch, but you can't hear them over the AC and they didn't turn on closed captioning. Since Sonic wasn't designed for indoor eating, their indoor part doesn't really make sense. All of your food is served to-go, so you're wasting the same amount of packaging as if you were eating elsewhere. There's no option for fountain drinks, so there are still no free refills, and you have to ask for things like napkins or ketchup because there's no station for any of that stuff. During busier times, that's probably fine, but on a weekday at lunch I was the only person there so the people working in the kitchen were just trying to keep an eye out through the doorway to see if anyone was there. As you can imagine, this is not a great system- I had to wait for several minutes to place an order and then again to ask for ketchup. They need to have some kind of bell or something. read more

Sonic has tasty food for sure. This was a great discovery while on the other side of town from my residence. I had one near a previous house and moved away. The burgers are delicious and not too greasy and was able to eat in my car without a mess. I got a caramel shake and it was very delicious also. read more

11Am and not a sole in the shop. lights on inside but no one manning their post. I know they are hurting for help, nut this is mot good.

Far too late to say Covid is preventing you from having enough people on staff to handle your customers. Hire more people, pay them what you have to to keep them, and take care of the customers. Open the car stalls for drive-up customers, open your dining room, and manage your logistics so that when someone orders a coke, they can get a coke. This place is a complete joke. read more

Tried to order at the stall to give my daughter the full experience, and they advised that they were only doing drive thru. Seems like there are no more Sonic's in the area that give you the good drive in experience this chain used to be known for. I order our food through the drive thru and my order was not as expected. Fries were cold, paid extra for candy and bubbles in our drinks, which we did not receive. Never coming back here again read more

This sonic is by far THE worst sonic I've ever been too. Tell me no for refills. They NEVER have their stalls open, even during the day they say drive through only. Like why? All 8 stalls are closed for the day ? I don't understand. The staff is rude, a bunch of rude teenagers working. No respect. OPEN your stalls! It's honestly ridiculous. Won't be coming here ever again. Westland one will get my service ! read more

Are you kidding me?! My son and I have never been to sonic before and decided to try it today. We waited at the window and when no one said a word thru the intercom we figured it was broken and drove around and waited in line. When we got to the window this teenager says "did you order" still... no greeting... not at the intercom and now not at the window... then this child with no customer service skills says "we were literally in the middle of something" ... I advise her that we had no way of knowing that and that we'd never been here. Then this .....I'm really having a hard time not cussing these "people" out.... but then this young "man" says if we have a big order we have to drive around and walked away.... I said it's me and my son to the teenage girl... she laughs and says he's my manager I have to listen to him and you have to drive back around. Absolutely damn ridiculous for customer service to be so lazy and rude...... I'll never been to a sonic and I'll never go back after this!!!! Edit: I googled the corporate offices in Oklahoma and spoke to a representative who sent me coupons and apologized for my experience so I appreciated that... I would hate for the people at that location to represent you business. read more

Stopped in just now. I waited for 5 minutes for someone to even take my order. I came for the chili and they were out. I order a slinger and it was hard as a rock the meat and bun were both burnt and both hard. The cheese was not even melted o could not even eat it. I can't believe an employee would actually look at that and say hmm yeah I should probably serve this stale and burnt hamburger to someone. I would have taken it back but wondered would would be served to me after I complained lol. I don't expect fast food to be gourmet food but I at least expect it to be edible. The philly cheese steak seemed fresh it was ok on taste but at least it seemed fresh. The xtra large ocean water was good which is the only reason I gave it two stars. Horrible service and horrible food read more

Daughter received a rotten shake..: tasted and smelled like spoiled milk.

I love Sonic. My lovely fiancé and I are visiting from out of town, and went to sonics for some familiar food. Well, to our disappointment, this sonic does not live up to the company name. We pull up to the drive through and there are two lanes.. I'm thinking wow this sonic must be nice.. that and the fact it looks like you can go inside to order here. Well we should have noticed something was weird when there weren't any other cars in the drive through! So we pull up to order and a robotic voice says welcome to sonic, someone will take your order soon. We didn't wait too long. We placed our order and pulled forward. They gave us our drinks and food and we pulled over to eat in one of the drive in stalls. That's when the disappointment set in. We were not given any straws with our drinks. What are we, some kind of animals, that we are supposed to drink our refreshments without a straw? To make matters worse, I unwrapped my burger and found they put mayonnaise on it when I specifically asked for NO MAYO! Oh and my medium combo came with small fries? You'd think any business would want to make their mistakes right. Well not Livonia Sonics. I tried to walk into the indoor dining area but it was locked. So much for that. I don't know why they would be closed on a Friday afternoon. I tried to press the button on the stall I was sitting at and they answered and said they were only doing drive through at the moment. So I had to pull around the drive through AGAIN to get my burger fixed. If you want somewhere that can handle simple requests and get your order right, this is not the place. read more

I went to get a slush on Wednesday 15 around 9pm to get a slush and they told me the slush, icrecream machine were all out of order, they basically didn't have any icecream or drinks. This is like the 3rd time I go there and their machines are out of order. I end it up going to dq. read more

I ordered though the app which was awesome and really easy and convenient...but they got my order completely wrong...I ordered a double cheeseburger with no ketchup, mustard or pickles and I wanted mayo, lettuce, onion and bacon on it(and they charged me extra for the bacon... when I opened it there was one patty that looked days old...with ketchup, mustard and pickle... I was sooo sad lol going back just wasn't an option because my child was already screaming the whole way there and back but talk about bummmmmed. read more

I got here at 10:30am because I wanted a burger and fries instead of breakfast. No other customers were here at the time. So I got my food and went to the next parking lot to eat it because I was starving. Reached in the big to get a fry and it wasn't even hot and the burger wasn't either. I'm assuming they gave me some heat lamp food. That's a shame. Money wasted and I won't be coming back here. The only thing that was good was my lemonade slush. read more

Ok, let's start with the positives. The staff is very nice and friendly, and my root beer was great. A perfect amount of ice for the size of the drink. Then, get ready. This is a quite long list of negatives. My burger was cold, I had asked to hold pickles and tomatoes, but still got them, I had to wait a long time to even get a response from the drive through speaker, my fries were cold, and the drive through took about 20 minutes; and that's being a bit generous. All in all, I would not recommend this. And I leave on: YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!! read more

Absolutely horrendous. I just went here and had the worst service I have ever had. Think hard if you are considering going to get food from here. There are so many better options where the workers are actually respectful. read more

Probably the worst service I've experienced at a Sonic ever. I opted to go inside misread if going thru the drive-in just because. I took the staff forever to take my order, I waited for about 7 minutes before they came out and placed my order. The food was great. Drinks were amazing per usual. I was just very disappointed with the service. read more

Great burgers and yummy shakes waiting on therapy to finish so we stopped by for quick lunch fries salty but great mozzarella sticks

My son and I went to Sonic today. It happened to be my 10 year old son's birthday. We ordered our meal and my son and I were talking about his birthday at the register. After we ate our meal and we were leaving one of the workers named Amarah ran out of Sonic and handed my son a vanilla icecream cone for his birthday!! How awesome is that!! Will definitely go back! Thank you Amarah!!! read more

I wonder if the owners of this Sonic or corporate know that the staff pretends the store is closed for about 30 min before it's closing time listed online. Either that or they should change their hours online to reflect their employees schedules read more

This was a total rip-off. The raspberry tea was so packed with ice, there was hardly any tea. The Philly steak had no cheese, and there was VERY little meat. I also ordered tots. There were very few. My take is the staff doesn't care, especially on the drive thru. Once your gone what are you going to do ? Beware of this location read more

This location is hands down the worst Sonic I have ever been to. I have given this location SEVERAL chances and they have never failed to disappoint! They have not ONCE gotten my order CORRECT. I like extra pickle, so what do I get? NO PICKLE. OK, it happens. However my food was luke warm at BEST. So I am sure it has been sitting for who knows how long, and yet somehow I am waiting for 15 minutes..... when there is literally NO ONE else there. Tonight was the last time I will give this place my business. I ordered a double bacon burger with no bun and SPECIFICALLY SAID ALL TOPPINGS PLEASE AND EXTRA PICKLE. I got only pickle on two cold patties with hard as nails bacon. Ordered a hot dog no bun, got the bun. Ordered tots with cheese and bacon. I PAID FOR THE BACON and they did NOT give it to me. Not to mention they were so cold that the cheese re-solidified. I also waited 20 minutes and several people ordered behind me only to drive off afterwards out of frustration. Do yourself a favor and avoid this location at all costs. Corporate needs to step in and fix it if they want this place to succeed. read more

This Sonic location opened recently and it's only a few minutes from my home. I'm from the South and Sonics are plentiful there so I like having this one near. I had the cheeseburger combo with French fries, and a lemonade. There is a $.30 up charge for the lemonade to replace the fountain drink. The total for the number one combo was $7.20. Fast food prices continue to creep upwards. The burger and fries were good as I remembered. The lemonade was good also. Very tart. Of course I'll return to this location. It's only a few minutes away. I'll continue to try other menu items. read more

This is the only Sonic location that I know of that doesn't have the specialty drinks or tots, like today! The young man took my order only to be like we don't have it. Hell why are you even open? I really thought service couldn't be any worse than the last time i was here. I was wrong. Shame on me. What i really can't figure out is, is the management of this location really that blind to how bad it is? Come on management, how about a comment on how inept your crew is. read more

Been here about 4 times and each tome I'm disappointed by the food, the price and the customer service. The last time I thought I'd try the app. This was a bad idea because it doesn't work. I am the first one to post a positive review. And I have even posted great reviews for this particular Sonic. But today's experience was ridiculous. I ordered or was trying to order a sonic blast with peanut butter cup. I was told they only had peanut butter shakes. Well, it went down hill from there. The young man working at the drive-thru was convinced that they didn't make peanut butter cup sonic blasts but they did make Reese's. I said well we're talking about the same thing, guess I'm just saying different words. He began to argue with me about it. Isn't a sonic blast with peanut butter cup the same thing as a Reese's sonic blast? And you're paying him how much? Honestly, if I'm still bothered by something by the time I get home, I have to write about it. Come on people. Get yourself together. read more

Worst sonic ever! Staff closes whenever they want to. Every weekend they have those stupid orange cones blocking all of the drive-in stalls. We actually made it in one today, got our food and wanted to order desert. While STILL sitting in the drive-in stall they say, "Sorry, our stalls are closed now. (It's 9:45 on a Sat. Night and they're open until midnight). You can go through the drive through if you want something else." They're always very slow last week I went inside to get our food and everyone's food was piled up on a table in s back room with boxes of empty cartons. (??) read more
