Upon entering we we're greeted by several super friendly employees. They were very patient with us as it was our first time to a Steak and Shake. My wife and I both got the Western BBQ bacon and steak burger. As this was what they recommended for your first time trying there food and this was super delicious, maybe a little smaller then your average burger but it was also alot cheaper and still really good. The frys I would give an average grade nothing special but still good but the shake is really thick and the recommendation i was given was was different from each employee from Cotton candy to a peanut butter one, I choose the peanut butter one and It was definitely an enjoyable selection. I will say it does take some time but it was worth the stop. We couldn't believe how fast our orders came out. Food was fantastic, with the exception of our chicken skillet. It had so much grease in it, that it was standing on our plate. Totally grease logged. Outside that, the food was excellent! Our waiter, Mark G was a great waiter. Very courteous, polite, and was always checking to make sure we had everything we needed. My only complaint was the oil. We used to order the bourbon chicken and shrimp, and we quit ordering it because of too much oil in it. I wish they would cut back on the amount of oil used to cook those specific meals in. It didn't hurt the taste, just all that oil is too much on my tummy. With all that being said, we still love Applebee's and will keep going back. We'll just order something else.
