The young woman literally slammed the menus down on the table, and walked off in a huff into the kitchen leaving another person to quickly come up and bring us to a table. Suddenly, our brunch mood dissipated, and we felt our welcome had quickly chilled. We apologized for putting anyone in a bad mood and got up and walked out the door. Of course, they apologized as well, but the deed had been done. I do not want anyone in the kitchen that is angry with me. The kicker is that there is another brunch spot nearer home than this one.
