We all still miss it, especially at Thanksgiving because they had the traditional Thanksgiving Day lunch/diner all day every year!! We who are tired of cooking every holiday would gather there and celebrate with them often. Loved that time we had with them. They are a special family who brought us great food and great hospitality for many years.

I came here while I was visiting my parents in Langley, Arkansas. We came during lunch because my…read moreparents talked it up the previous day. I had mentioned that I bet a small diner around here could probably do pretty well due to the traffic that comes in during the summer for families camping, fishing, etc. I had meatloaf and some peas and coleslaw as part of their lunch special. I honestly was not expecting it to be too good because I am used to meatloaf and how it is made in the south. Yet, when I started eating my food I was completely impressed! My mouth watered up because I couldn't eat fast enough. It was full of flavor, the temperature was nice and hot and just freaking delicious! I highly recommend stopping by here if you are in Kirby or Langley visiting or just driving by...you will probably be completely surprised as much as I was. Plus, I found out it is a family owned place and they are such a nice bunch. Definately a nice enviornment even if it isn't as nice on the outside. Inner Fat Kid Says: This place is fantastic!!!

There were a few people in front of us from the game, also. We grabbed our chips and were patiently waiting our turn to order. We were next in line, with no one else behind us. At 8:50 the woman at the register, rudely told us that they were would have to leave bc they were closing soon and didn't have time to serve us. I made the comment that they still had 10 minutes before they closed. She said, "sorry, I don't know what to tell you" we still have to clean up and do a "bread count"". I have never been to a restaurant that refused to serve someone bc they were closing SOON. She knew that we had been in line for a solid 10 minutes already...we used to frequent this Subway, fairly often, when in the area. I understand that losing our business won't affect the store...but this is the type of behavior that can take a store location. Do better.
