You can definitely tell this Sonic has seen better days. It needs and update badly. There are potholes in the parking lot that are huge. The paint, consoles you order from all need touching up. I used to go here all the time years ago after dance classes. They had the best popcorn chicken and that gravy was to die for. No longer the case. The dipping sauces are smaller, the food no longer as good. The popcorn chicken was very dry, seemed like it was old and reheated. Definitely not fresh outta the oil. I got tater tots instead of the fries I ordered. No big deal, I like tater tots as well, but they were very salty. I love me some salt, so that says something. I usually never complain about a lot of salt. The staff was nice and helpful. read more

Waited in line for 15 minutes and won't even help us. Literally the worst sonic I have ever been to in my entire life. I even went up to the next window. read more

Sonic Drive-In - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Daphne, Alabama

Idk what everyone else is saying. We're in town for the weekend and went here twice. Great experiences each time. It was just two of us and we only got ice cream and snacks so it wasn't a huge ask. The blasts were loaded with chocolate goodies and the drinks were creamy and good as well. We didn't wait long. First time we went it was maybe 9pm and we ordered and were served within 10 minutes maybe. Second time took longer but we were in drive thru and it was close to closing time. Just wanna say some people come on here to complain about little things and have never worked food service in their lives. Gives these guys a break. It's fast food not Ruth's Chris. Thanks sonic lol read more

Pulled up to a stall, pushed red button and sat for 10-15 minutes. Gave up pulled into drive thru and sit for longer. They take an order and I guess go prepare it before they take another order. If there isn't enough workers then they should close the store until they get the help. This place needs help read more

worst sonic location ever. Constant problems at this location and today I couldn't even get my order placed as nobody ever answered the drive thru, and they weren't even busy. 2 girls inside that only noticed me as I was leaving. go to a different sonic, they don't care about customers here. wasn't the first time but it will be the last. read more

Unfortunately I have to give a one star but it deserves 0. JUST SAVE YOURSELF AN HOUR IN LINE AND GO TO THE MALBIS LOCATION!!!!! 6 times I've been to this sonic and 6 times they've had no ice cream. Person at the window actually cursed at me when I said having to wait an hour to order nothing is ridiculous. Why would I wait an hour you ask? Well that's because there was a parked car in the drive thru blocking the exit! The dude with the long nasty nails and long, greasy, unkept hair needs to go stand in the unemployment line. If this place caught fire I'd throw a block party. And please do not tell me to call corporate. I have twice. Fix it or demolish it idk what else to tell you. read more

OK for starters I went to get a milkshake and was told that they're out of ice cream. How can you be out of ice cream if your business is about ice cream?? Also I wanted to try their new pickle fries and was also told we don't have any that we're out. So I ordered the new groovy fries and for someone who is visually impaired I rely on taste and all I tasted was crumbs and grease no flavor whatsoever. I ordered to go read more

Went for an Oreo blast and peanut butter shake at 9pm on 26 Oct There was no oreo inside the blast - just a cup solid full of soft-serve with maybe half an oz of crumbles on top The peanut butter shake was not mixed and was literally just a clump inside a hollow chamber of soft serve - not even the actual shake mix Crew is poorly trained and dismissive to issues Store used to be the peak of the local chain and is now an embarrassment to Buddy Mcclain read more

Use to love this, but needs a good cleaning, updating & trained staffed. Forget happy hour & focus on happy customers!

The worst fast food restaurant I've ever been to. Guaranteed to take over 45 minutes and somehow be cold. This location should be shut down.

I'm not sure what happened to Sonic or if is the new "norm" the prices have DOUBLED and the quality has absolutely plummeted. Two burgers, two shakes and two chili cheese burritos somehow is worth $36 bucks. I threw most of the food away. Totally not edible. Save yourself and get actual dinner from a restaurant for the price. read more

Food service and cleaning this is the worst sonic I've been too it was nasty I would never eat here again

Lunch time special...I had a hankering for a Sonic cheeseburger. Rolled down to the Daphne Sonic Drive-In and not only was the service- who was tipped 50%- rude and I am 99% sure she was a manager-but the food was cold, and the cheese was thrown onto the bun without even being melted.Fast forward to driving down to the Fairhope Sonic Drive-In, food was hot and the service was great. Same owners right?!? read more

this is the worst fast food in Daphne. food is never good or right. nothing seems to work there. the only way to order is to drive around to drive thru window. the staff is always rude. every time I decide to try again, it's even worse. It has a sign that says under new management.... that may be true but please know that new does not mean better. read more

Ice cream machine was broken.... 12/14/22 such a bummer since we came out only for the milkshakes and we're ready to buy 4 of them.

I am 76 years old. I tried to order on line but could not make it work as I am computer challenged. I called Sonic in Daphne, AL. Nick answered my call and graciously took my order just like I wanted it. My Husband who is 83 was able to pick it up without any problems. We really appreciated the way Nick and Sonic took care of Computer challenged seniors. I FINALLY GOT AN ORDER THAT WAS CORRECT. Thank you, Katie and JIM read more

I understand that one shouldn't expect things to be perfect when getting fast-food, especially during a pandemic. Which would probably explain why my friends and I had to sit in the car and wait for an attendant to take our order for a very long time. But we actually never got spoken to. We did notice that the drive thru line was moving so we thought "ok we can walk through the line since they aren't answering in the parking spots." and so we tried that. As we were waiting we noticed one of the workers was staring at us. We didn't think too much of it, maybe she thought she knew us? It's a small world. What was odd though is she parked in one of the spots where customers would need to place an order even though she was working. But maybe that is the protocol for this sonic location. She stared at us until she got back inside the sonic building (and coincidentally the drive thru line began moving again when she got back inside). When we finally got up to order, a voice came on saying "can't walk through the drive thru." And that's fine, those are the rules. But it felt as though the person behind the mic was angry/fed up or annoyed with us even though we hadn't done anything before this mishap. Maybe she was having a bad day? Surely that is the reason she spoke with such malice. My friends and I got out of the drive thru and back into our cars and tried pressing the assistance buttons again. Still no answer. But then after sitting there for 5 minutes it looked like a manager was approaching my friend's car. I was worried we were getting in trouble for walking through the line, and if that was the case I wanted to stand by my friend 1. for moral support, and 2. because I would have also been guilty. So I got out of my car and asked what was going on. The manager yelled "I'm not talkin to you!!" and turned back to my friend. Of course she wasn't originally talking to me but she didn't have to yell at me did she? After being yelled at I thought that maybe if I place an order they'd spit in my food or something. So we left. And as we drove off we noticed that the girl working the drive thru was the same girl who parked in a service spot and stared at us. She literally watched us stand in the drive thru line and waited until it was our turn to order to let us know we couldn't actually order. Had she spoken to us instead of staring, maybe we could have avoided some of the events of the night. In summary, the service was the worst i've ever experienced in all of my life. I made an account on yelp just to leave this review. And if there was an option for zero stars I would have chosen that one. read more

we went through the drive-through to order a Oreo milkshake and a nerd slushy. OMG! Worst order-taker experience at a Sonic EVER! She was surly, abrupt, impatient and downright nasty. The young lady that brought our order to the car was, however, vert sweet and courteous (like most Sonic folks). We shared our concern and frustration and she promised to tell the manager. But, we won't go back to the Daphne, AL, Sonic again. Tuesday - June 16, 2020 @ 4PM read more

I will never go back. Every time it's a 20 minute wait and the food is always wrong. Today I gave them another chance and I was so frustrated I left without getting anything. The girl running the drive through should be fired for all of the business she cost them today. 6 people I work with pulled off without getting there order just like I did. When you have to ask someone to repeat themselves 5 or 6 times and their low talk mumbling gets worse each time they don't need to be talking to customers. read more

I had to laugh when I saw the grand opening of the very first Sonic in New England. The parking lot was completely packed and the line to get in was literally on the shoulder of the road and about a quarter of a mile long. I wish I had taken a picture of the hilarious chaos. Okay, it's not that good, emphasis on the word "that". Sonic is pretty good though, for what it is. In my opinion, it's better than Whataburger. It's always been kind of a go-to for fast food because it's really a lot better than most fast food burger places. The service is prompt, prices are reasonable, and they have a great selection of regular or flavored drinks, shakes, slushes and Sundays. This one is pretty much the same as most others. The carhops skate out with your food about 5 minutes after you order. The food is decent and you can sit there in your car and eat, sit at one of their picnic tables, or drive off. There's never a line here in the South. The value menu, breakfast menu and regular menu all have a good variety. I usually get a chili burger or chili cheese coney, but if I'm in the mood for just a snack, I'll get a corn dog or mozzarella sticks. I love the chicken tender box as well because I like dipping the tenders into their gravy. I'm especially hooked on the red velvet cheesecake shake and the pumpkin pie shake, which are both seasonal. In the summer, I have to settle for peach or mango tea. I'm assuming most Southerners are pretty familiar with Sonic. If you're from a part of the country that doesn't have one, drive past Wendy's, McDonald's and Burger King and give Sonic a try. read more

My girlfriend and I have been in line since 10:40. Right when we get to the intercom to place our order at 10:50 (10 mins before closing) they turn the lights off and stop taking orders. I waited 20 minutes at the drive through microphone.... Nobody ever came. A note on the menu said there were only two people working, so I was patient. I was running out of time, so I started driving away and the person who had been waiting at the window rolled down their window as he began driving away too. I asked if he ever got his food... turns out nobody ever came to take his order either. Keep in mind there was nobody parked in the drive in spots. You get what you get with fast food, but that was unacceptable. Sonic... pay your employees and then maybe someone will want to work for you. read more

Get ready to look at the words "Red Button activated. We'll be with you soon" until it times out and you have to press said button again. The best part is it's not really crowded at all, they're just ignoring the customers I guess. Then later when you get the food, they'll leave something out. You must then repeat the infinite waiting/button pushing. read more
