I made the mistake of working here and it's the reason I had to start an anxiety medication. I've seen coworkers (including shift leads and a manager) talking poorly about other employees AND customers for stuff that's out of the people's control. At times, there's only one person working drive thru during rushes, which is a two person job, especially considering we make minimum wage. Our hours are cut and instead of being told why, directly, we get passive aggressive messages in the work group chat from the person who runs the store. An openly disabled coworker isn't allowed to sit, even when they're in pain, there aren't any customers, and they're doing a task that can be done just as well sitting down. Another coworker who regularly has to uber to work because the bus system isn't the most reliable doesn't get enough hours to pay for uber, so they're often paying to work. They also can't afford to get to and from interviews for other jobs so they can't even find another place to work. We're often understaffed during rushes, which leads to mistakes, which in turn leads to customers getting angry. We regularly have to deal with customers getting mad at us for stuff that's way above our heads, like prices or the fact that we only have a few people working during night rushes. Finally, I have to post this as a review under a fake name because if I bring all of this up to a manager, I could well get my hours cut (more than they've already been, anyway). I know working fast food isn't gonna be fun, glamorous, or even particularly well paying, but the employees here deserve to be treated with dignity and respect and to be paid for the work that they're putting in instead of the bare minimum that the company is required to pay them. read more

While we waited at the pick up window, we had to listen to a young woman with blue hair, say f-bomb after f-bomb and told the most vile story for my two children to hear. I recently tried the vanilla milkshake at Sonic, and I have mixed feelings about it. While there were some good aspects, there were a couple of issues that left me wanting more. The flavor of the vanilla milkshake was good - creamy and rich, however, the texture was a bit thicker than I expected. It was so thick that I couldn't easily sip it through a straw, which was a disappointment. If I wanted soft serve ice cream I would've gotten that, but I wanted a milkshake to be able to drink. I was getting hangry on the way home from a meeting and hit this Sonic on the way since February 2nd is national tater tot day. I pulled up to a drive order screen and spoke to an order taker. Not the best experience since the restaurant's music was blaring and it was hard to hear and probably be heard. The chicken tenders on the menu are tossed in a sauce, but the order taker would only tell me the condiment dips. The screen told me my order and it was easy to pay and a nice young lady named Sophia brought my food out. She also got me ketchup later. The food was abysmal. My tots were cold and the container wasn't full, even after I dumped the "bag" tots back in there. The 3 chicken tenders were $4.39 and they were so dry and shriveled. They must have been sitting in a heater forever. The cheeseburger came with onions (I ordered no onions) and NO extra pickles, as requested. This is the best Sonic I have been to in my life. My husband wanted me to be sure I said, "This Sonic runs a tight ship!" And they do! I've never been to a Sonic with inside seating before, so when we went inside of this one, we were filled with wonder! They had such fun Christmas decorations everywhere and it was so clean! And the staff is so pleasant and nice! (The staff almost made us feel like we were at a Chic Fila A, that's how good they were!) AND the food came out so quickly after we ordered! We had sat down for like 2 or 3 minutes and the next thing we knew, this pleasant young lad had already brought us over our burger meals! I love that this location has attendants that use roller skates (not all do) the LO LOVES the roller skates. They had us waiting forever & when we pulled off and I put my hand in the bag, my food was cold & the strips were old. Like, what was I even waiting for?? I only utilize the drive-thru, so I cannot speak for what the inside looks like or the service where they bring your order to your vehicle is like. I've personally never had problems with the drive-thru, even if they were backed up. I've had to pull into the spot where they run the drive-thru order out to your car to avoid further delays, and my food has never been forgotten. My order is simple, and I don't venture from my order much. I only order mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce here. Sometimes I eat it while it's warm when I get to the office; however, sometimes I eat it when it's cold, so I have something in my stomach before going to the gym right after work. The mozzarella sticks are great either way, and I honestly love how hot & fresh my order is every time. Occasionally the wait times are long, but I can factor that in before I swing by before work or a few minutes before my lunch hour ends. A-OK, so keep up the great work here. Also, their receipts always have some kind of simple survey you can fill out online for a free beverage. I'm not a fan of icy/slushy drinks, but I know it's what they're famous for too. read more

Today my daughters and I stopped in for lunch. Crazy enough, I'd that they had a choice between Chik Fil A or Sonic...we always eat at Chik Fil A but today they choose Sonic. Anyway, I placed the order. After a 5min wait the food came to the table...I opened up the foil wrapping on 2 of the sandwiches, not optically appealing at all. It's like the grill that the sandwiches were cooked on hadn't been cleaned in forever. If we had not chosen to eat there and it was takeout, I would have gotten home and been extremely disappointed. The person that prepared those sandwiches, knew that they weren't right when he/she wrapped them up. That's the problem. Laziness and a "I don't care attitude ". Silver lining. I brought this issue up to the manager and she jumped to the opportunity to make it right. She personally took the time to remake the entire order and exceeded expectations by processing a refund. 4 Star only for the customer service. The wait for the food is absurd. The customer service is par at best. I ordered the chili dog and it was overly salty. My friend ordered the new wings. Those were just breaded balls of chicken lightly tossed in some generic sauce. I don't think I'll be returning. read more

When we drove in, the lady on the speaker greeted us, and since it's our first time I still needed time to look at the menus, I told my husband we'd just park to see the menu and he said "we'll just park for now" and the lady didn't even say a word for a minute so we're like "is that OK?" Originally a malt was ordered instead of the shake and they said they don't make malts anymore. If that's the case, remove it from your menu. After that, two different car hops came up to us with wrong orders, and I guess third time was a charm because they actually had the right order that time. I don't really eat fast food (and Sonic food is pretty icky), but occasionally I get a hankering for a milkshake. Sonic used to be a great place for said hankering. Not anymore. I've been to this location twice in the last year or so. Once last year, yup, to get milkshakes for me and the hubs. Took forever to get two measly shakes and then my order was wrong (or just REALLY bad). So I got another. The shakes were mediocre at best. Yesterday, was the second an last stop I'll make here. After a trip to Lowe's we drove across the parking lot and hopped in the drive through. We waited at least 5 minutes to even move a car length. Another few minutes of just sitting there, not moving, we said the heck with it and went across the street for a couple of Java Chip Fraps at Starbucks, which were as good as any milkshake I could get at Sonic... and without the ridiculous wait. read more

Tried the dine in, never again. There's nothing in the lobby, no napkins, no condiments, no straws. You have to go to the counter and ask for everything, and then you realize only one person works the register while multiple people walked by while I waited for several minutes for napkins and more ketchup, and the corn dog they didn't give us. read more
