22 Brew - Peanut Butter Iced Latte with Chocolate Drizzle

The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The service? Absolutely…read morestellar. The barista who crafted my latte must have magic in her fingertips, because every sip was pure perfection. I started with a caramel mocha latte that was rich, velvety, and just the right amount of sweet. Then I couldn't resist trying the peanut butter latte--and wow. It was indulgent, nutty, and delicious! And let's talk about that sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. Heaven in pastry form. The croissant was soft and buttery, the sausage flavorful, and the egg--fluffy as a cloud. I'll definitely be back. Again and again.

You will likely get a decent cup of coffee regardless of which shop you pick. On Sundays the other coffee shop is closed. For us heathens, coffee will be at McDonald's, 22 Brew or the first big town on I-40 east bound. Pick 22 Brew. An Americano with a shot of cream woke me up for the drive home. My wife had her iced coffee. The fresh roasted coffee flavor was prominent in both drinks. Very good coffee. It is a roomy shop. The unmistakable foot print of the building, confirms its past life as a gas station. Tables, chairs and a couch in the main area. The next room is an inviting brightly lit den with loaded book shelves. There is possibly a title on those shelves that will catch your interest and keep you busy while sipping that cup of coffee. Nicely decorated, comfortable. Check the pictures. Friendly service.

Yum yum! Great place to be today. We were "close" (within 30 minutes) so here we are - not…read moremissing the chance to eat well! Today they have burnt ends and those are always fantastic! Thankfully they had some left over! What a great thing that was! Delish food with great service with folks that we know and like and the price is reasonable in a colonel's downtown Americana atmosphere!

While visiting Ft Smith we were told of a great place to get barbecue. ~50 minutes from where we…read morewere staying was Reid's BBQ. Initially we were going to postpone to Sunday since we spent the day sightseeing however, they are not opened on Sunday. We made the drive but sadly they were already out of Ribs & Pulled Pork. We had a great server (Kaylie) and she did an awesome job in getting us to sample what was available. We ordered two Steve's Sampler which gave us plenty of options. The presentation was very good. On one platter we had Smoked Turkey & Burnt Ends,Mac n Cheese, Cole Slaw, Potato Salad. On the other tray we had Baked Beans, Okra, Regular Fries & Cajun Fries, Brisket, 2 types of Sausage and what was remaining of the pulled pork. All of which were very good. We had the Fried Pies for dessert but we only ordered 2 to share. Highly recommend the Pecan Pie w/Vanilla Ice Cream. The second Fried Pie was Blackberry w/Vanilla Ice Cream another great choice. A down side were the Burnt Ends, I found them way too salty which otherwise would have been excellent. The positives outweighed the negative. Starting with Kaylie our server, she made our dining experience wonderful! All of the sides we chose were delicious, the top picks were the Baked Beans, Cole Slaw & Potato Salad. I could not recommend because I'm not a Mac n Cheese fan so I don't know. The Okra was mediocre and if I'm choosing fries I'm going with the regular. Overall it was worth the drive from Ft Smith. Obviously I want to give a higher star rating but I really wanted the Ribs & Pulled Pork. This does not detract from the overall experience, I would still recommend going however, a call ahead before you go would be a great idea to see if they have what you like.
