Literally just had to pick up a DoorDash. Instructions were to go to the drive up spring spots and hit red button. I did. Waiting and watched the button blink for two mins. Then couldn't go inside. So I hopped in the drive through. There were maybe 2 cars In front of me, 3 at most. I waited over 25 mins. Waste of my time and honestly money when I'm trying to be out here paying bills. Don't wanna be out alll day but 25 mins for 1 soda is ridiculous. Once I got up to order speaker I waited 5 mins before being attended to. Once I finally got to pick up window. It just couldn't be much worse. After waiting close to ten minutes for someone to come back on the speaker at a parking space, I gave up and drove around to the drive thru. One car ahead and at least one behind me. It's like they took the person's order in front, prepared it and gave it to them before even taking the next (my) order. So ticked off I just drove up to the window and complained. You tend to lose your appetite when things are this bad. Guy at the window said he would take my order there. However this is the topping of the cake. Pulled up to skate up window at 7:10... wanted 20 minutes to her say it's closed come to drive through. Drive through she wouldn't answer the speaker so I pull up to the window. No one online at all. She says pull back around there's a long line and I'm out of turn. I go back around and they're laughing at the take out order area on the speaker. Got the order completely wrong. Idk why this place has bad reviews lol. We pulled up on a road trip and stopped here. You park and the menu is right by your window. I ordered the new garlic butter bacon burger and a soft pretzel with cheese sauce. My boyfriend ordered a cheese burger with tots, coke, a chili cheese hotdog, and chocolate shake. His friend ordered a chili cheese foot long dog, coke, and a double cheeseburger with tots. It was only $34! Amazing! All of our food arrived at our truck window fast! Our order was correct too! Everything was hot. I ate my soft pretzel first, didn't even use the cheese sauce lol it was good by itself! I'd order it again. I wanted a second one! The garlic butter bacon burger was delicious too! It had cheese, onions, bacon cooked perfect and the garlic butter burger patty. I'd order this burger again too! Yummmmm. The tater tots were perfectly crunchy too. No need to dip them in the cheese either lol. Everyone else said their food was good too! No complaints in this truck! The chocolate shake was thick and creamy! Not malted chocolate but still great. I don't eat whip cream, too sweet. The chocolate shake is sweet but not overly. It's like a melted chocolate ice cream. This is the worst sonic to ever exist. Waited 40 minutes just to get the worst slushes. Do not waste your time here. The last time I went here the food tasted like cardboard. They don't even utilize their drive up to sections, you'll just end up sitting there until you try the drive through, even then, you'll wait an extra 30 minutes just to order and receive your food. Living in Texas, I was spoiled by the great service at Sonic. I pulled into a stall, placed an order on the mobile app. It said it was on its way...no order for almost a half hour. Pushed the red button...No answer. I then had to get in the drive thru lane, wait forever again, for the person to tell me "oh, just pull up." I guess it's ok just to order food and it never gets delivered to you. Maybe you should put signs up saying drive thru only. I can't wait to eat food that is probably cold by now. Don't go here. I've never been to a drive-in so this was exciting. I've always seen their commercials on TV so to finally try it out, it was fun. You drive in and pull up to a parking spot. Look at the menu then press a button order what you want. It was fun experience. Once the food come out you can either eat in your car or there's outdoor seating with highchair available. I got a drink, chili cheese dog and some onion rings. I neglected to take some photos of my food because I was really hungry. The hot dog was nothing fancy typical chili cheese dog. The onion rings were pretty good, nicely fried. The lemonade was my favorite. Refreshing not too much ice. On a hot day super cooling. I wouldn't have high tops expectations for the food. But the drinks are pretty good. The lady who brought out my food was very friendly. Everything was nearly package for us. The intercom lady not so much. She seemed like she needed a break after a long day. We were ordering​ for lunch mind you. I wouldn't mind going back for a cheap eat and some delicious refreshing drink. read more

So for years I have driven by Sonic on various road trips and always wanted I try it. I think it was the whole drive in concept that had me intrigued... Well I finally did try it and the experience is not to be repeated. First of all it was a little confusing if you didn't understand the whole concept of the drive in... We tried to walk in and ended up in the kitchen before we realized that all orders were either drive through or drive in... Anyway we ordered a New York City hot dog and a Sonic Mango flavored drink....the hot dog did not resemble a city dog at all. Raw chopped onion does not scream NYC dog.... The beverage tasted like a diet soda. It was so awful we threw it out. Finally there were some issues paying using the drive in kiosks and it was not clear why.... While I am glad that we finally tried it, this experience will not be repeated. read more

Passed by this Sonics on our way to Kalahari. Got a burger, shake, tots, hotdog and a drink. We've been to Sonics before but don't recall it being so salty. The hotdog was almost inedible and texture of the casing felt like it was left sitting out for a while. This is going to be a very fun review to write. Where do I even begin? Firstly, this isn't the only time I've had a bad experience at this Sonic but today... today truly put the final nail in the coffin so to speak. The first complaint I have with this pathetic excuse for a fast food restaurant is the excruciating wait to even get someone to take my order. Of course, that's not the first time it's happened but I typically like to give people the benefit of the doubt and be patient with them but today it much longer than normal and eventually someone did take my order. I pulled up, paid for my food and waited for my food. The wait for that was also extremely long and buy the time I did get my food, it was completely different from what I ordered and I told the woman at the window and I asked if it was alright if I pulled over so that I wouldn't hold up what was essentially a train of cars that was waiting behind me for their food. I noticed as I was waiting for my food, a number of cars behind me began leaving the line due to the atrocious wait time. At no point in the 30 minutes I sat waiting did anyone approach me to give me the correct order, but any attempt at getting a refund was wholly ignore. At this point, I simply had enough and left, without a refund and no food. The Sonic in Bartonsville is an absolute embarrassment and if I was the manager running this place, I would be deeply deeply ashamed. I would rather eat the loose gravel in their parking lot than EVER order from them again. If anyone is ever in the area and are hungry for Sonic, this is my advice to you. Go home and cook. It'll be quicker. read more

I was just at the Sonic in Bartonsville and apparently they didn't have Lemondade, Cheddar Peppers, they had no milkshakes and they had no Tater Tots apparently. The service was unacceptable and we just decided to leave. Please make the appropriate changes so we have a better experience if we even go again. We probably won't though. read more

Please note that currently this Sonic is drive-thru only, albeit there are no signs to indicate this. I'm giving a negative review for two reasons. First and foremost is the rude and lazy attitude of the staff members. Of my 10 times here in the last month, I encountered only one polite employee. This could just be my luck and I'm sure many of the employees are nice people. Secondly is the inconsistency of their items. There is a 8/10 chance they will not have what you ordered, and and they will not tell you so until you get to the window. This applies to anything on the menu. Two stars because sometimes, occasionally, the food is excellent. Sorry sonic, please step up your game. read more
