Terrific! This young doc looks like she just got out of med school but don't be surprised by her youthful looks. She is on top of her game. My husband and I took his frail and elderly mother for a follow up visit after her six week hospitalization. The office visit lasted nearly one hour. We were both permitted in the examination room with his mother. Dr. S. carefully reviewed all data which she had at her finger tips on her laptop (all in the John Muir Medical Network), listened to our concerns and performed an examination. She came up with a treatment plan that may help restore my husband's mom back to health. We were also fortunate enough to find that she takes Medicare. This is hard to find. We had to wait a little long for the doc to come into the examination room. It was worth it to wait! read more

She is a great PCP! When I have any issues she is quick to refer me to the right specialists (not like those PCPs I get at one medical always gatekeeping me from getting an MRI for my broken shoulder which I ended up needing surgery for - delayed me for 6 months!). When I told her I had runner's knees she immediately recommended getting PT. She also proactively asked me about my moles and recommended a checkup with a dermatologist to make sure I didn't have skin cancer. After the referrals she reaches out to ensure that I have scheduled the appointments, and follows up with an additional thorough review of the reports she gets from the specialists. She is a truly caring doctor who puts her patient's wellbeing first! read more

Turns out those symptoms this Woman thought were from a traumatic childhood was actually a degenerative connective tissue disorder called Ehlers Danlos Type 3. Had she not missed this diagnosis, I might not be developing arthritis at age 38. read more

The worst doctor I've ever been to. I have now been in a billing fight with Sutter Pacific for over 4 months over the services the doctor claimed she performed. This woman had NO answers for me (prescribing an over-the-counter medication?!).. I had to PRY any kind of information out of her and all of it ended up being wrong. The woman spent 10 minutes with me (I wasn't even late to work) and then has to gall to mark the appointment as "level 4" and charge me $333 dollars. I seriously could have gotten better medical advice from the Sutter Health billing people. Sad.. just sad. Additionally, Sutter Health has locked me in a fight over the bill for over 4 months. I was calling back every week making sure I wouldn't be sent to collections but they kept sending me notices and couldn't resolve the complaint within their own organization. Incredibly inefficient. My family and I will not be going back. Heading to UCSF from now on- Don't waste your time or money. read more

The first time I saw Dr. Sadarangani for an annual physical was awful. When I told her I suffered from severe depression, she told me that I should maybe increase vitamin D. She scolded me for not doing monthly breast exams. When I left, I actually cried because she just made me feel awful. There were things I understood I needed to get done but the way she told me was just so rude and unhelpful. She just was very cold and I swore I wouldn't go back to her. But I got very sick this week and didn't have time to wait for a new patient exam and so I went back to her. She was awful - she didn't shake my hand or do any pleasantries. She never looked me in the eye, and I had to keep asking HER what she thought or what I should do. Usually a doctor as their checking keeps you updated on what they find - the good and the bad. I told her my ears were ringing and she looked in and she said "you have a lot of wax." Once again not why I had the ringing just a rude remark without any helpful ideas or suggestions. I had to ask her if there would be a problem with medication mixes. She didn't say goodbye so I just sat there because I didn't know if a nurse was coming back or if she was and then she stepped into the room and said "you can leave now" and kind of chuckled as if I was the idiot. The one thing I will say is that her staff is so kind. They go out of their way to be sweet, take their time, and are incredibly pleasant to work with. I feel back for Dr. Sadarangani - I'm sure she is very well educated but there is more to being a primary doctor that just knowing things - I hope she eventually sees these complaints and works on developing bedside manner. She doesn't have to be overly friendly but courtesy and sensitivity go a long way to a better exam. read more

I'm not really sure what all these other reviews are all about. I found Dr. Sadarangani to be a wonderful and thorough doctor. On my first visit, she spent over an hour with me going over my history and current illnesses. I've never had a doctor spend so much time with me. She made suggestions and gave advice all the way through the exam. She is a bit shy in her behavior but far from the "cold" persona people are claiming on here. I'm glad I have established care with her and feel confident in her competence and knowledge as a doctor. read more

I have been remiss in not posting our support for Dr. S... Dr. S took over a practice for another internist we were using in the Sutter system. She initially started to care for my elderly Mom.. My Mother has had many health problems so not the easiest of patients. Last year, she had life-threatening complications from a fall. I am her primary care giver and it was overwhelming. Back and forth to the hospital and seriously ill. Dr. S kept in contact with me (took my panic'd calls/or returned my calls promptly) when I did not know what to do next and saw us through such a difficult and scary time. She is now treats my husband and me as well... We are fairly easy patients, but both of us recently came down with a nasty bug, and we both showed up at her office, no appt. and she saw us right away. It certainly gives us comfort knowing that you can call the office, talk to the GREAT staff (I can't say enough about her team, they are AWESOME) and be seen right away if necessary. We appreciate her, her team and are grateful to have her available to us! read more

Awesome! Dr. S is the best doctor I have ever been to. She is kind, caring, and very very thorough! I have been going to her for the past 3 years and she has solved many of my problems and I am healthier because of her. If she tells you to take a medication, you better listen to her because she knows what she is talking about! She is the only doctor in this area accepting new patients and the other doctors are about to retire. I like having a young doctor who is up to date on her medicine and listens to me. Many of my friends and relatives go to her and they all love her too. I would never go to anyone else! read more

I give a four Star rating because we all need room for improvement. Here is a tip for patients- Make a legible note for your Doctor before you appointment, maybe jot things down for the week before your appointment so you don't miss anything, then at your appointment give the Doctor your note and let him or her ask the questions - answer them simply, honestly and completely. Be quite and patient while the Doctor does the exam and thinks. Try not to make to much conversation, this can distract and bring up disagreements, the Doctor has opinions to, some this way some that. Doctor Sadarangani is petite, I am sure this has caused her to be intimidated sometimes, don't let that happen, use good manners and let her do her job, you will find she does it quite well. Dr Sadaranjani is a poor doctor in need of additional education. Her lack of knowledge is inexcusable for someone claiming to be a doctor. I cannot recommend her so-called medical skills. I have thyroid issues (Hashimoto's disease - the most common autoimmune disease). I would expect her to understand a thyroid panel of test. She told me she only orders TSH tests for her patients - the only thyroid test she understands. I found her staff to be slow, with no sense of urgency. On one occasion, I needed blood work and went to Grace to have this done. She was totally irritated and quick to let me know she had lunch in 10 minutes. She had no time to work with me (for a blood draw). Another time, I needed a simple RX refill from the doctor. I called it in early in the morning. The pharmacy even sent Dr Sadranjani's office a fax to be more efficient. I had to follow up 3 times in the same day to make sure the RX was refilled. The RX refill was faxed to the pharmacy at 5:00 in the evening. If Dr Sadaranjani and her staff were located in San Francisco with a busy practice, I could understand...but, her office is slow. WTF It is unfortunate that finding a good doctor can be so excruciatingly difficult. read more

The jury is still out on this doctor, I have been seeing her for about a year for thyroid problems. She had ordered the right tests and not done anything incorrect, but I am concerned about her manner. She got very worried about what turned out to be a chronic sinus infection and suggested that it might be lymphoma -- I know that the medical schools teach doctors to consider bad outcomes, but it is unpleasant and worriesome when they suggest that it is a zebra and it turns out to be a horse, And she was dismissive when my neck swelled up horribly, and told me it just looked like fat! My ENT immediately saw what was going on. Dr. S. also referred me to one GI doctor who turned out to be a jerk. I have to second-guess everything she says. It takes everything I;ve got to not dis her because she looks so young. But she has a bossy manner that is off-putting. It is so hard to get a doctor who is taking new patients, and I have been trying to escape from the sucky Sutter system and get integrated into Muir-Mt. Diablo, where the phlobotomists are less brutal and the radiology techs seem much nicer. read more

She has positive and negative aspects as an internal medicine doctor. First the positive: she referred me to several doctors which ended up treating medical problems I had that were serious. I appreciate that, I wouldn't be standing if she didn't refer me to see a doctor for a surgery, et cetera. But I actually am writing this review because of bitterness about her not taking my broken joints serious enough. She feels my wrist and tells me to move it around and says it's not broken, same with my ankles. Ice it and take NSAIDS? They're broken and have been for half a lifetime, that's why you can't tell they're broken, because I had to live with them for fifteen years. Why don't you order imaging? I hope this time Yelp posts my review. Dr. Sadarangani and I had such a good doctor/patient relationship that she may wonder where my review is. Please post this! I had read the crummy reviews about her, and I thought, this just sounds too over the top. We hit it off right away. Dr. S. is smart, VERY caring, willing to research anything she may feel is not part of her specialty. I was SO SAD when she left the practice. I'm a senior citizen and I really appreciate her intelligence, her dry sense of humor, and her no-nonsense way to getting to the heart of the problem. I honestly believe the negative reviews here are more about the patient's own projections than that they have anything to do with Dr. Sadarangani. I hope she returns to this area. read more

Dr. Sadarangani is a friendly down to earth, relaxed demeanor doctor. I agree with Lauren W., Dr. Sadarangani is fantastic and thorough. She is very smart and compassionate, however I think her shyness is being interpreted wrongfully by some other people here as being dismissive & rude. She is very intelligent and knows what she is talking about. If she does not appear confident in "American" standards, it's because she is very humble the opposite of the Donald Trump personality type. There are a lot of doctors who act arrogant and their arrogance can ruin a lot of people's lives. She took great care of my Mom, she was also her patient. My mom had a lot of medical issues. When she moved away from her previous office, I found other doctor's who were conveniently close but I just didn't have the same level of trust with the other doctors. Now I have something serious going on, I will make an appointment and drive an hour and 20 minutes to get to Novato to see her. Which I just called this morning to make an appointment with her. She is the only PCP doctor that I truly trust having my health in her care. read more
