    Punta Cana 6-24-2018 / 6-28-2019…read more First Off we had a flight leaving at 7:00AM with Swift Air Lines #450. Get to the Air Port STL and could not find the Swift Air Both Asked several people at Air Port they had no idea where was either. We could not find the Blue Apple Shirt Rep. because she was talking with agents and finally after spotting the Swift air line sign which was laying on the counter we finally sorted things out. our flight was delayed and was told the reason was the plain was being cleaned. after a hour we finally got on plane and was then told sorry for the wait we had mechanical difficulty but should be ok now. We arrived in Punta Cana and checked into our Resort Sun Scape, Punta Cana. We originally paid extra to have our room upgraded to the Ocean View and after checking in we was disappointed. Bell hop advised us we are staring in the older rooms and the ocean view was only for people who paid for a tropical view. Our view was consistent to having to sit on the balcony and turning side ways to see 25% of a view but with all the palm trees and buildings still was no view. The bedroom sheets were dirty all 4 nights, the towels were nasty and stained also. we asked several times for extra towels and was only given 2 bath towels and 2 face towels. each night. Their was a ice bucket in the room, however, no ice machine to get ice any where on property no vending machines, and if you wanted room service you had to pay $15.00 per person on top of what you order. The room was extremely hot a/c did not work had on lowest setting. No ceiling fan, mini bar in room was a mini refrigerator that had 1 bottle of water 2 cans of beer and 1 soda. The shower was a half glass and no matter which way you positioned your self the floor was soaked with water. The shower floor was slippery and had no protection. Several reviews stated no reservations needed to eating, however, if you wanted to eat at the only restaurant with hot food (Chop Sticks) you had to make a reservation or if you tipped the host she would try to get you in. The restaurants food was cold every day its a buffet sit down. Upon arriving we all wanted to eat so we walked the resort looking for food and to our surprise nothing was open. We found a Pizza and hot dog stand that was open but the pizza was not being cooked and as soon as a pizza was dont it was taken because it was the size of a medium pizza feeding everyone on the resort. The Hot dogs were not cooked they were sitting in the hot dog water and cold. we did find a hamburger stand and waited in line for 30 minutes while the cook grilled them to later find out we waited for no reason the cook put 30 burgers on the grill and made everyone wait till they were done which they were still not done and pulled a pan out later to find out he had already cooked 30 to 40 hamburgers. If you wanted to eat and relax in certain parts of the resort you had to pay extra to be in the sun club membership which we thought since we did all inclusive everything was included. we could go on and on about the service by the apple reps at the resort but this would not end. As for the excursion the best part was dun buggy and the chocolate and cigar factory along with horse back riding. On the return flight home do not expect to see any apple reps you have to figure out on your own. our flight was delayed for 5 hours with no explanation as to why. you could not understand the air port dispatcher who was calling out flights to each gate you had to assume they were talking about your flight. once we got on plane we was told they were cleaning the plane thats why it took so long then the pilot stated we had mechanical issues with the plane and thats what took so long. Upon arriving at STL- Lambert we go through customs waiting in the baggage claim for a hour and a half to find out that all the luggage was lost and gave no explanation on how to get luggage and where it is at considering it was a direct flight. all we was told is give us you home address and phone number if we find your luggage we will deliver it. nothing else. I called my travel agent and advised her we have the insurance and what to do to only be told call the air port luggage for swift air lines. I called Swift and was greeted by a operator saying leave a number and name and they will call you back. WOW. This has to be the worst vacation experience ever.
