    Friendly people. Love all the animals and the kitty! They take care of our pup at a reasonable rate and close to home.

The front desk man keeps notes on an index card of mine and the dogs preferences and my top one is NO CRATE! so in order to accommodate that my dog is dropped off first thing in the morning 8:30am. So, I drop him off at 8:30am, an hour and 15 mins I get a call that he's "extremely matted" I said to guy impossible! He has a few tangles here and there and whatever you do; DO NOT SHAVE HIS TAIL! Blah blah blah we hang up. 4 hours elapsed and still no call about my dog. I called and spoke to a woman who said he was very matted and he has another 40 mins. More waiting saying how can a bath and shave be 5 hours, something is wrong! Now it's almost 5.5 hours later I get a call from the man at the front that my dog is ready. I walk in the dog is on the grooming table and what looks like to be getting his front legs shaved. I said "he's not ready, why would you have me come in and upset the dog" I go back out and less than 5 mins later the guy comes out and says he's ready. I walk in where is my dog! IN THE CRATE! I immediately asked for the dog out of the crate the lunatic man there slams the gate door open and is aggressively handling the situation. I said never again, you know this dog doesn't do crates! Anyway, I get home they only 3 legs groomed and he had a burn mark like a frantic abrasion to his inner thigh!! My poor innocent dog has been extremely jumpy and depressed since being there! DO NOT GO THEY MUST ABUSE THESE ANIMALS!!

I have purchased prescription cat food here for years using a photo of my prescription barcode on my phone. This has never been an issue. Ever. Tonight, Shelly, the General Manager, refused the purchase and claimed that "additional paperwork" is required and that this has "always been the rule." That statement is flatly untrue. This store has repeatedly accepted the same barcode without question. The system accepted it. The staff accepted it. The store accepted it. Claiming otherwise is either incompetence or a deliberate misrepresentation of policy, neither is acceptable from a GM. If policies have changed, that's fine. Say so. If corporate has tightened requirements, also fine. Explain it. What is not fine is making up a history that never existed to avoid accountability. This is not about confusion or misunderstanding. It is about a manager choosing to double down on a false claim rather than acknowledge reality or verify prior transactions. I expect better from management. Chewy will get my business now. the Joke response from Petco to call this number, 877-738-6742. It was nothing but a dumping ground into the Zombie on the Phone Customer Service Resp. The person we reach: Has no authority Is bound by scripts Is measured on call time, not resolution Is punished for deviating from policy They exist as a buffer, not a problem-solver. Their real job is to: Keep us from reaching someone who can fix it Exhaust you emotionally Get us to accept a partial or incorrect outcome This isn't customer service. At one time, I had told the groomer "not" to touch the back of the back paw because every time she gets groomed it swells. I don't need an apology from Petco, I need help paying my over $2000 vet bills.
