I stopped by toward the end of the year and they had a nice selection of holiday-themed items. The store is of course geared toward home furnishings but they have some gift-type items as well. As far as I can tell, they most likely rotate what they showcase in the store as the season goes but many things can be purchased online. During my visit, they happened to be doing a monthly wine tasting and I proceeded to sample several wines. The wines can be purchased in-store and online. Even during these times I would like to "see" things as I shop (but maybe don't "touch"?), and Two Chicks District Co. is worth a visit. The store isn't big but depending of when you go it won't be a full house. I chatted with the staff during the wine tasting, and I am sure they will be knowledgeable and helpful with your shopping needs.

From the Hey Champ miso candy bars, to lip makeup, to CBD icy hot, and wrapping paper everything has been of great quality. I go here often for stocking stuffers or birthday gifts. It's nice to be able to get people something I know that they will love while also supporting a local business and so many small businesses. Recently I went in to get some wrapping paper to wrap books for a book swap and I was so pleased with the quality of the wrapping paper for the price. I was nervous that it would be see through, but it was not see through in the slightest. I got so many compliments on the wrapping paper at the book swap! Once I run out of hand soap I really want to try their waste free options! The staff are amazing and so helpful! They're quick to show you options and help come up with ideas (or let you know when they have more inventory in the back if you like to stock up on Hey Champ bars like me).

It was originally a pop-up but has now secured a three-year commitment at the location through a city initiative. The initiative was meant to promote Black-owned businesses at prominent locations across the city. The store carries T-shirts, hoodies, pants, and hats at various price points. It's nice to see some retail options in addition to all the food establishments on Mass Ave. Because of the high foot traffic, I hope Nap Or Nothing does well and showcase what Indy has to offer.

When I paid, her first comment was along the lines of how "barely anyone pays with cash anymore." Already, the vibe was off. Then, she asked where I was from. After I informed her I grew up in the local area, she immediately started rambling about her neighbors from India. It was completely inappropriate, micro-aggressive, and made me wonder if she subjects all people of color to this kind of treatment. To make matters worse, I had to return to the store because I was shorted an item due to a system error. The store was nearly empty, but I could immediately tell she was heated and just wanted me gone. I brought an item to exchange and asked about stock for a few others, which is a standard request for a store employee. Instead of helping, her tone got meaner and her voice grew so loud that it felt like I was being reprimanded just for asking questions. She literally started yelling at me. I could see the hate in her eyes, and it took everything in me not to react disrespectfully back to her. Out of pure exhaustion, I gave up and only exchanged half the value of my item. This was hands-down the worst shopping experience I've ever had. If you're looking for similar items but prefer a classy environment where the staff actually welcomes you, I highly recommend going to Charles Mayer & Company instead.

Bon Vivant specializes in girly accessories for the home and body. Outside, floral club covers are on sale at 30 percent off; inside, myriad motley treasures--bright yellow room dividers, zipper and strap-happy purses, various designer dishwashing soaps, bar soaps and lotions--unfold on shelves. My favorite from the latter genre includes Earthworks, a line of bathstuffs that has been featured in countless magazines. No wonder: the scents are strong but soft; ephemeral but enduring. Try the almond bath truffles. Don't forget the jewelry and local art. Large, swirly paintings in the style of modern Picasso dot a few walls. I purchased two of them, Oven Baked Oatmeal Cookies and Starstruck, and have been using them together. They last quite a while and my house smells amazing without being overly strong. Check out the pictures posted to see a few of the items she has in her shop. The space is clean and very well organized with spacious isle ways. You'll find adorable home decor groupings and nice displays throughout plus several outfits on display. There was space at the back, and even in the middle of the shop, there is plenty of space between the aisles.
