It really is Something Else. Consistently good food. Greek food primarily. Reasonable prices and good service.

Always solid with no disappointments ever. Dark and a bit dated inside, but I'm there for the food

The ceiling is adorned with sprawling vines and white lights. Colours of yellow, white and blue are the palette for the decor. I was there for a special birthday dinner, party of 12. We were seated together and the menu was set. For the next 2 hours the lovely waitress and one of the owners, Marie, brought us appetizer after appetizer. She quickly removed dirty dishes and freshened our drinks. The night started with warm bread, Homous and Tzatziki followed by Greek salad. Then they brought out the hot appetizers: Saganaki Greek Cheese, Dolmades, Keftedes and Loukaniko. I only ate the bread and Homous however my family was raving about all of it especially the Saganaki Greek Cheese. For the main dishes we were served Roast Lamb Kleftiko and Chicken Souvlaki with vegetables, roast potatoes, rice and Tzatziki. The potatoes were moist with a wonderful lemon flavour. Many members of my family were not fans of lamb. However, after trying it they loved it. As for vegan options I was really limited here. But the service was amazing. The couple who owns this place are warm and sincere. The experience alone was worth eating a lot of potatoes and bread.

It turned me off completely. my husbands's pork ribs were very good. vegetables (except carrots) were overdone. The two dishes, with unexceptional food cost us around $80 with tip. we had nothing else, no hors d'ouvres no alcohol, no drinks except water. I know we will not return. like I said maybe we did not know what to order. service was exceptional.

I love Greek food but I haven't tried Cosmo's yet even though it's been open for like 20 years. If anyone is planning on trying it with the COVID restrictions I would recommend doing so now, because when we went there was a lot of seating with lots of space between people! The food was just amazing. We started with the hummus and pita, and then I tried the Psari Paki! Both were delicious! However, it was the dessert that really stole the show for me. The owner/chef makes the desserts fresh daily and they are true Greek desserts! I loved them! They were called Ekmek and Galacto Buriko - pastries with custard, honey, almonds, etc. OMG they were heavenly. I would come back to this place for the desserts alone. The service was awesome. We came on a Sunday and had a friendly server who had been working there for many years! So she knew all the details and ins/outs of what we were ordering. She gave us tonnes of recommendations as well! 10/10 experience - I would recommend this spot to anyone interested in trying some of the Greek restaurants in YEG.

The menu has a large selection of appetizers and mains, many of which can be shared. I opted for the chicken souvlaki which featured two skewers of perfectly cooked and seasoned chunks of chicken, atop a mountain of seasoned rice, roasted potatoes, and cooked vegetables. A small side of Greek salad accompanied the meal. This is a little on the expensive side but wonderful for a special occasion.

Another girl filled our waters constantly. We tried: Saganaki: 10/10. Another Greek restaurant added a shot of alcohol and lit it on fire (big show) which was fun but this place did not. Lemon on the side. I purposely ordered pita just so I could have this on top of bread. Flavor was great, texture was great. Tasted less greasy than the other place. Pita: 10/10, soft, goes well with the Saganaki. Does not come with any dips or anything. Spanakopita: 3 pieces. 7/10. I really did not like, spinach taste was very strong and no feta taste. Came so hot we burned out mouths which was cool. My mother liked the flavor though. Chicken Skewers: 2 skewers. 10/10 flavor was great, sauce was great, moist too. Baklava: I give it an 8/10. Flavor was fine but was soooooo mushy. My mother said it was too mushy and could not eat it. Cherry on the side was super yummy. Lots of other cool desserts to try next time. Overall some good dishes here.
