I started seeing Katie at Somersworth Physical Therapy because I was having some extreme nerve pain caused by a herniated disc in my back. I also have hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome so I was very concerned with finding someone who understood what I needed. I spent five months with Katie and she was amazing. She was incredibly attentive and listened to everything I had to say and did her best to keep me conformable and help me when I was in, what felt like, never ending pain. She went out of her way to answer my emails and phone calls when I needed immediate advice and even called to get me in to see an Ortho asap when I really needed it. I have always had issues with my core and I feel like the work we did together and the home routine she gave me has really helped me strengthen and increase stability. That in addition to the advice she gave me has helped me so I am not constantly irritating my back and triggering the nerve pain. I am in a much better spot than I was when I started seeing her and she has made it very clear I am always welcome to reach out again if I have any more issues! I went to Somersworth Physical Therapy for my 2nd time. I have ongoing neck/should/arm issues. Have C4/C5 degeneration, and shoulder issues. My pain got unbearable after about three months of playing pickle ball. I returned to Somersworth Physical Therapy as they treated me great the 1st time, and you start by getting greetings from Alicia as you walk in the door. My therapist the time was Lean Richards, and was great. Took me right in made her valuations and we got to work. She has a great attitude, loves what she is doing, attention to details on your workouts. She has a great tool box to work every muscle needed to recover. I came to Somersworth PT after having acute pain and limited motion in my shoulder. I had visited my doctor for a cortisone shot and the doctor recommended PT as an additional treatment. The staff at Somersworth PT were great. Dr. Kennedy conducted my treatment which included stretching, STIM treatments, shoulder massage and using weights and bands to strengthen my shoulder muscles. I was somewhat leary of going to PT during Covid, but the staff kept the facilities clean and they sanitized after each use of any machinery or tables, etc. At the end of eight weeks of treatment my shoulder pain had abated and the increase in range of motion in my shoulder was better than it had been in years. After three months of pain in my wrist, despite two visits to the orthopedist and a cortisone shot, I went to Somersworth Physical Therapy. Through a combination of appropriate exercises, manual physical therapy, the Graston Technique, and electrical stimulation, my wrist pain finally subsided. Two months after the initial diagnosis, my wrist was back to normal. My deep gratitude to Dan Lombardi, who was my principal therapist, but also to Marty Williams and Laurel Salladay, who each worked with me for a couple of sessions. Somersworth PT is great place for accessing/utilizing physical therapy needs. I had nerve impingement in my upper extremity, which made carrying out daily routines pretty uncomfortable/painful. This place was recommended by my PCP and that recommendation turned out to be very helpful. During my first visit, Dan did a thorough examination and laid out the intervention plan. I received care for about 8 weeks and the care worked! I can now participate in my daily routines comfortably and pain is no longer a concern. I just called today to see if I could make an appointment for my knee. They were able to get me right in one hour later. The clinic was clean, neat and has great equipment. The therapist was very informative and thorough with their evaluation and I feel I am in great hands. My knee feels better now then it did this morning after going for my first appointment.
