Will not return to Dr. Tucker's office. Visited office for head cold. Strep test was sent to lab and I was told to call office in 2 days for results. Thought it was odd that the office wouldn't call me as soon as results were available. I was sent home with recommended over the counter cold remedies. My symptoms continued to worsen. Two days later (Thursday), I attempted calling for two hours and staff did not answer. Upon 5th attempt, staff answered and put me on hold for 23 minutes. Upon picking up, I explained that I was calling for strep results. Staff indicated that test result was inconclusive explaining that the lab probably hadn't entered test results yet. Instead of calling lab and inquiring results, staff advised me to call back in two days, then corrected herself and stated that two days would be on Saturday and that their office was closed. She stated that I should call back and check with them on Monday. On the following day (Friday) I attempted calling the office 3 times within an hour and no staff picked up. I drove to the office and once again requested my strep results. The office staff checked the computer and stated that the results were still inconclusive. The staff stated she would call the lab and call me back within a few hours. She did, in fact call me back to advise me that the results were still not available, but that Dr. Tucker would call me back once he arrived in the office after noon. I never received a call from Dr. Tucker. My symptoms continued to worsen through the weekend. On the following Monday morning I called the office and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. I hung up before the staff took me off of hold. Completely frustrated at this point, and feeling horrible, I went to an emergency clinic where I was diagnosed as having strep and prescribed a Z Pak and Prednisone. 3 days later I was feeling much better. Completely unhappy with my experience with Dr. Tucker and his staff. Very unprofessional. read more
