RefactorU throws a lot of information at you in a short time, but in a really well-structured way so that you actually have time to learn it all, and learn it all well. I'm astounded by how much I learned, and how dedicated the instructors were to supporting our experience: from TAs who come in on the weekends to offer help, to being responsive when not-totally-kosher sexist jokes were being made in class (hey, it's the tech industry, right?). They organize events with employers and recruiters to help you make connections. They know they only succeed when their students succeed, and they are all about that. My only complaint is that, being as successful as they are, they have been growing a lot, and for my personal learning style, our class was too big. We had 33 people, so there were quite a few of us sharing the instructors' attention. It was also often a very loud work environment (33 people in one room), which for me usually meant having to choose between leaving and going somewhere quiet to get work done, or being in a room where I have access to help from instructors and classmates. Overall, I'm glad I went and really impressed by what they accomplish as a school. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

I cannot imagine my life now without the skills and the friends I made and learned at RefactorU. I want to thank everyone there for being there for all of us in my cohort! The course is first rate, and I wouldn't trade my time there for the world. Chris in particular is an AMAZING instructor and human being, and the material presented truly did prepare me well for a real-world job as a developer. I made some great friends and got a great job (only took me 3 weeks after I graduated!), and I cannot tell you how happy I am. I solve puzzles every day, design beautiful websites, and go home every night happy (and well paid!). Thanks to everyone at RefactorU, I love what I do and do what I love.

She opened my eyes about how fascia and your nervous system are all wrapped together. By changing your fascia, you are releasing pain patterns and emotional pain. Within a year of continuing to receive sessions and then deciding to attend the Rolf Institute, my spine had changed 10 degrees (out of the danger zone of needing surgery) my foot grew a shoe size and my back pain was gone. Just when I thought I had not been chosen a fateful email reached my in-box. Having a long history and journey through various ailments I'm overjoyed to be a part of my student's journey. Many of my injuries have stemmed from my posture and while I've tried my darnedest to self correct I've come to the realization that there is only so much I can do. Upon arrival at the Institute for my first visit I was greeted in the lobby and provided a tour of the amenities including changing rooms and lockers (with locks) where I could leave my personal belongings. Each clinic attendee has a robe with their name on it to change into for their comfort. It was not long before the students came out to greet us and introduce themselves. My student and I spent time discussing about my medical history as well as any ailments or injuries I may currently be struggling with. From there we took some before photos and videos (I'm beyond excited to see my journey in photo form) and proceeded into the first session (of 10) which was wonderful. As this is a student clinic there is a large room with several comfortable tables (much like massage tables). While there is one student Rolfer assigned to each clinic attendee, there is also an additional student observing and at times providing input. I felt safe, comfortable, and at ease during my session. My student talked me through the entire process and was very receptive to my input and feedback regarding sensations I was feeling during the session. I left feeling taller, calmer, lighter, and happier. I'm totally amazed at the positive changes I already see and feel in my body. I cannot wait to return tomorrow for my second session. I highly recommend exploring this modality. Want to learn more? Check out the videos on their website. If you are comfortable in a group setting definitely take some time to explore their clinic offerings. You'll be glad you did.

I have seen the director Michael on Facebook telling parents not to pay attention to the Colorado Shines website to me that should be a Red Flag they not only have something to hide but are actively working to hide it. For a school that has been around since 1970 you would think they could pass an inspection by now without manipulation or paying someone - see photos.

My oldest, who is now going into 1st grade, was in need of a lot of stimulation outside of the home when he was little. He was one of those very active, curious kids always seeking out new adventures and interests. The education staff took great care in feeding that curiosity from the first day. Their story book journey curriculum is a tested and proven method (see Ashley Merriman's and Po Bronson's, Nurture Shock) for early childhood education success across all areas of learning, whether it be speech, pre literacy, social awareness, personal development, gross/fine motor etc. My husband and I beamed when our 3 year old son came home with books on sharks for us to read to him from the school and started memorizing facts and reciting them to friends and relatives. It seemed he had met his match. As an elementary age kiddo he has flourished into a very kind, loving, enthusiastic and confident student. I give a lot of credit for that to Elaine, the director at Children's House. Our youngest son will be starting his final year at CHP in the fall. He has developed so much from their care by learning self confidence, self reliance and finding his own voice. He is now looking forward to being a leader for next years students and I know he will continue to thrive in this loving, nurturing environment. A point worth making is that it is a one room school house meaning the children are of mixed ages together throughout their day. I can only speak from my family's experience but it has been wonderful to watch our children flourish as they get older, growing first from silent observer, to active participant and lastly to confident leader. The one room serves as a wonderfully safe and creative environment to explore through play, art, music, and pre literacy story telling. While it is a very active and diverse classroom, each child really does find their own sense of peace and space to grow within it. Children's House Preschool has been a very, very positive experience for my family.

This year was different (2026). I purchased the 18 hour CE RENEWAL FOR NEBRASKA WITH ALL R CLASSES. There we so many typos and incorrect format questions on the quiz sections and main final test that I found it shocking. As a former educator, I am disappointed in the poor quality of questions and incomplete answer segments. Many times the questions on test never had a possible correct answer listed. If you missed an answer on a quiz, half the time the area where they would show the correction was blank or a "soup of words" that never directly gave the corrected answer. It was not a good experience as very little learning possible as the system is flawed with constant errors plus validation of identity interruptions while reading questions asking for information validating your phone number, zip code, area code, last initial of your name! Did this company recent sell to another owner as seemed so low quality with typos and many other aspects. Not the same Van Ed. Maybe someone with Van Ed should review their own material and correct their errors before selling the courses. I completed the 18 hours but spent far too much time dealing with run on sentences and poorly written questions and answers.

Upon expressing my frustration, and then my intent to posts reviews about the interaction I had with the CO-OWNER, of all people (maybe that's why he thought he could just treat me like that), these are the emails I received from Bruce: This a response to the owners response: he wants me to feel badly about someone who had a heart attack- someone I don't know- instead of realizing we had a business agreement and feelings don't factor into business. Why the course was postponed is no concern of mine. The fact that I paid for the class MORE THAN A MONTH before it began and I didn't get what I was promised is the problem. Instead, this man continually tries to belittle me and make me look bad (he says I registered for the class less than a week before it began. I've included my email receipt so you can see what a liar he is). He's obsessed with trying to make me feel badly about a health situation his friend/employee is going through, and apparently he wanted me to mention this in my initial email. When I failed to do so and focused solely on our actual business transaction he took it as a lack of empathy and still continues to bring it up in EVERY correspondence (I don't think all 3 emails I posted are showing- he sent 4 so if they do appear I'll add the 4th). It's too bad he had a heart attack, but the fact that they didn't have anyone to step in or take over teaching a certification program for adults, who all have busy lives, is bad business. Period. As for the rest, Bruce's emails speak for themselves. If you want to give your hard earned money to people like this, have at it. There are way too many other programs out there who will treat you with respect and dignity, regardless of the situation. AND who know how to conduct business.
