It's 3 floors and the computer room is completely up to date and modern. It has a very old feel to it so many of the religious decorations are original but taken care of very well so they are in pristine condition. The gym is big and really pretty the floors shine there so clean. The school is coed and any students who have passed away there is artwork to memorialize them made by students. Everything seems to be in order and organized in the school I love it visually and I've met a few of the teachers and they are upbeat with a great sense of humor. It's in a very mixed neighborhood now of Chinese Russian and I saw Muslims. The rectory is so beautiful and so preserved it's an old house that's been so well cared for with a really big cross on top I love the architecture of Saint Edmunds school church and rectory and I love how unbelievably clean that they keep it.

It's a very good choice in an area that has slim pickings for HS.

She gets physical with children, resorting to grabbing them, shoving them into their seats if they are even the slightest amount of hyper. The owner is incredibly unprofessional and unqualified to work with children. Educators--and anybody working in the vicinity of children--need to know how to handle all types of behavior. Instead, this Kumon only prioritizes and respects children who are "well-behaved " in their eyes--when in reality, these "well-behaved" children are truly just petrified that the owner will scream in their face and berate them in front of other students. I have witnessed a particular student with clear anxiety berated immediately upon entry. The child would enter clearly nervous and afraid for their lesson, and the owner would rush to them, threatening them, seating them alone in a corner, overall just making the situation for the child worse. Mind you, this child was five years old with confirmed mental disability. The owner has also claimed on multiple occasions that special needs programs are not necessary. On multiple occasions, parents have come to her, asking for her input on placing their child in a special school/special program; she would immediately shut down their idea and say that it "doesn't help" and their disabilities "aren't real". Several workers were not paid their correct salary nor would they get paid on time. Multiple workers reported getting paid every 2-3 months rather than the promised monthly payday. The owner would also pay them $100-$120 less than what they worked for. On the topic, workers were verbally harassed and abused. The owner had no shame in screaming at her employees, especially during training period, where they are bound to make mistakes. Overall, this Kumon is horribly managed. If you have half a brain, do not send your child here.

My baby has had pink eye multiple times within the last couple months(I honestly have rarely seen teachers in that room wash their hands but maybe I'm dramatic) , and my first born has had several Incidents in which were all safety concerns so I had to remove both of them from this center. Children can take high school math in middle school or do science that they normally could not do. My son attends this school and he is a better, brighter person for it. He is naturally very intelligent and with "many hours" of focused homework, was an A, B student in the public school system. We chose the Lewis School because he is slightly back and white, very sensitive and emotional. For many years he was bullied for being different. And every year we saw this amazingly bright, happy, talkative kid become negative, sad and gloomy. He didn't want to go to school, refused homework and the most upsetting part as a parent was he lost faith in himself. Then we found The Lewis school and OUR not just his life changed. Just after a couple months of attending The Lewis School we saw amazing changes in him. He's happier, wants to go to school, talkative and can handle situations better. He doesn't fight us to go to school or to do his homework (Which he still hates btw). This is the "LEWIS GIFT". They provide children with the love and support our children need. They understand each child and provide proper clinical advice and aid to help them grow into young adults in a stress less environment. This school is not just for learning differences, although they are experts in many fields including dyslexia (which come in many levels similar to autism), but for all children who want to learn in a better accepting environment. They build confidence and leadership in a loving understanding way. Words cannot describe what the school has done for my child as well as many other children and families. As a parent you know your child's happiness is priceless. They need the chance to open up and focus on being the best they can be. Be aware of its "Expiration of Tutor Instructional time" policy and how they use this expiration policy to rip you off thousands of your hard earned money! If you are a new customer, they give your kid a diagnostic test much harder than real SAT. Based on the score, they recommend you to buy lots of hour to reach your desired score. This is fear mongering! Hard test, low score, more hours==more money. At sign-up, you will be told the "100% money back guarantee tuition refund program", no single word about the "Expiration of Tutor Instructional time" policy. If you are an existing customer, they have promotion during the year. Right now, you all should get emails "Get our biggest savings of the year - Enroll now!" from C2. Be aware of this trap! They will encourage you to purchase lots of hours on top of current balance during promotion period, called "upgrade". BE AWARE of how they use the "Expiration of Tutor Instructional time" policy to rip you off. Ever since you pay for "upgrade", all the hours your kid uses from now on will be deducted from the "upgrade". Your hours from the balance of previous payment will be kept till its expiration. That means once you pay for "upgrade", your balance is set to zero no matter how many hours you have in your balance. How the used hours were logged is also dubious. My kid took some practice tests in the center. I tried to schedule meetings with the director when the test result came out. During the meeting, the director usually wrote down the hours used leading to the practice test. She usually utilized the number of used hours as an explanation for the test result. Now when I requested refund and finally got the list of the logged hours from the center, the logged hours from the list are much higher than the numbers I was given during the meetings. I was explained how the contract works in much more detail and depth when I ask for refund for over hundreds of unused hours, which worth more than $10k. Now I realized how the contract and the way the director conducted her business are fraudulent. It is a long story. I am in the legal battle with C2 now. As a good citizen, I feel it is my responsibility to let the general public know how fraudulent C2 business is. Please feel free to share my posting. Hope no others will be ripped off as much as I was.
