My kids have been attending this center now for a couple of months, and we have had an amazing…read moreexperience This place and the program is very enriching, my son started this school year far behind grade level and just last week I received a message from his teacher saying he was soo impressed that now he is where he should be.I have three children at this center and would not recommend any other center as much as this one. The instructor Ms Jinan is very approachable and works hard to make sure all the kids succeed, she pays attention to all the children as individuals. I would recommend this place to any person looking to help their child do better in school.

FIRST OF ALL, if you have a special needs child, do not even CONSIDER sending them here. The owner…read moretreats them like animals, to be tamed and punished. She gets physical with children, resorting to grabbing them, shoving them into their seats if they are even the slightest amount of hyper. The owner is incredibly unprofessional and unqualified to work with children. Educators--and anybody working in the vicinity of children--need to know how to handle all types of behavior. Instead, this Kumon only prioritizes and respects children who are "well-behaved " in their eyes--when in reality, these "well-behaved" children are truly just petrified that the owner will scream in their face and berate them in front of other students. I have witnessed a particular student with clear anxiety berated immediately upon entry. The child would enter clearly nervous and afraid for their lesson, and the owner would rush to them, threatening them, seating them alone in a corner, overall just making the situation for the child worse. Mind you, this child was five years old with confirmed mental disability. The owner has also claimed on multiple occasions that special needs programs are not necessary. On multiple occasions, parents have come to her, asking for her input on placing their child in a special school/special program; she would immediately shut down their idea and say that it "doesn't help" and their disabilities "aren't real". Several workers were not paid their correct salary nor would they get paid on time. Multiple workers reported getting paid every 2-3 months rather than the promised monthly payday. The owner would also pay them $100-$120 less than what they worked for. On the topic, workers were verbally harassed and abused. The owner had no shame in screaming at her employees, especially during training period, where they are bound to make mistakes. Overall, this Kumon is horribly managed. If you have half a brain, do not send your child here.

It has helped my son gain confidence in the subject again.

After being there for almost 4 years (age 2-6) and hearing about other daycares in town, we can say it was the best option for us and our daughter. A few highlights based on our experience: - Best hours with flexible schedule offerings (12 hours day, half days, partial weeks) - Fair pricing with no nickel and dining for extra hours, monthly fees, etc. Being independent allows them to avoid additional overhead of the franchise daycare options. - Incredible staff with little turnover, which is a big issue at many places - Caring owners with great attitudes and always reinvesting in the facility - Outstanding full-day kindergarten program (with included before and after care hours), led by Miss Kerri. Kids leave this program well prepared for 1st grade. - Perfect location downtown with plenty of parking and allows us to be close to everything (restaurants, dance, taekwondo, train station, etc.) We highly recommend you pay them a visit and seriously consider them for your child
