I was recommended to call Josh at Solution Based for help with an issue in my yard. I got a prompt response. After explaining my problem, he recommended a video drain inspection and location. Nate and JP arrived on time. They were friendly. They wore boot covers inside my home. They were considerate of my driveway with their truck so there wouldn't be damage. They actually invited me to watch what was going on. They were done in about 2 hours, and explained their findings. Drain was marked for my reference. At first I thought the price was high, but I now see it was reasonable. (2 men for 2 hours, and the specialty equipment involved). Josh even called afterwards to follow up and make sure all my questions were answered. I'm very pleased. I'd surely recommend them to my friends and family! read more

I've used these guys twice. First time to install a garbage disposal unit when we moved, then a bit later to connect a dishwasher. I'm writing this now because I'm going to need them again, and was racking my brain trying to remember their name, my wife looking through the online statement for the name on the check, as it had been a couple of years. So they're good enough for that level of effort to call them again. read more

I had a father son duo come out to my house in the case of an emergency. I got their number from my aunt who also had nothing but good things to say. Steve Senior and Junior helped my quickly, and a water heater. They were kind and personable. Helping me in a way that strangers don't normally do nowadays. Their work was clean and efficient while taking out the old and replacing the new. Thanks guys! read more

Horrible customer service, specially their boss Josh. Please save your self service call charges. I call this guy for hvac condensation pipe leak repair. It's big company every time different person ll pick up call n ask for same information again. Told me $79 for service call. Darrel came to check problem, explain everything and said I ask for quota he said it ll be around $300-400 so I said okay. He talk on phone with Josh-the boss- said collect $79 and so Darrel took service charge n told me I ll receive quote in. 2-3 days. After week of not hearing back from them I called on Monday and different person pick up phone n I left msg. I was told someone will call me back. No one did. Tuesday I emailed them n waiting again n no reply. Wednesday I call again n left msg to person n person told me someone will call me back today. No one did. Thursday, Josh was on phone, EXTREMELY RUDE guy. Instead of apologizing for delayed response, he was going on on about how busy they are and they don't give out quotes for 2 week after service call. He said he will send me quote and guess what he gave me UNREALISTIC quote of $2200 which was way more than $400, I was initially told. Very unprofessional, I would not recommend hire this big company who is too busy to give out quote for 2 weeks, even for service call. read more

Solution Based Plumbing and Heating - Unrealistic estimate of repair work. - Plumbing Near Me

The Saniflow toilet in our basement was installed terribly when our house was rehabbed prior to our purchase, to say the least. I saw that Solution Based Plumbing was one of Saniflow's preferred plumbers, so I gave them a call. Both Josh and Stacy were great to speak with over the phone, and when Pete came out, he was swift and efficient in fixing our problem that has been plaguing us for over a year. Other plumbers have been to the house to do other work and had no clue how to fix it, so I'm so relieved that I found Solution Based Plumbing + Heating -- they will be our go to from now on. Quick, efficient, considerate, and reasonable in pricing with clean work. read more

The faucet in my bathroom sprung a leak and flooded my bathroom and spare bedroom. I shut off the water and found Solution Based on Takl. They sent Mark out immediately and he found my plastic hoses had cracked. It was a cheap Home Depot faucet. Mark recommended a better high quality replacement. Within two hours I had a brand new, much better, faucet. They have great customer service and both Stacey and Mark could not have been nicer. I have found my forever plumber! read more

Excellent service. These guys are true professionals. They came in, assessed the repair, gave an honest and fair quote and delivered in 2 days as promised. I will definitely not only use them in the future but recommend them to others. Thank you John and team! read more

Josh is one of the very few contractors that actually calls you and keeps a good line of communication. We had leaking issues in the early morning and Josh was quick to respond. We ended up not needing any work but Josh was very attentive and kept a great line of communication. Will use if we have future issues! read more

I requested a quote via Yelp. My request was specific, itemized in writing as: "1) replace toilet, 2) install shower panel (fixture provided), 3) install new drain pipe for shower - has slow drain and the clog is between trap and vertical." So my quote comes back as 600 for toilet, 300 to replace drain, and he didn't want to do shower panel (fine). I said sounds good, and before they arrive, I confirmed again on the phone of work to be done (because there was back and forth of doing shower panel or not) - replace toilet, replace shower drain pipe. The day of the work done, I get a call saying the drain pipe will cost $1600. I ask why he is changing the price, I already asked for a drain pipe replace (I made it clear in a previous conversation telling him I already tried various unclogging methods and just want the pipe replaced). At this point Im dealing with the owner not the one who gave me quote. Eventually the owner said there was a 'miscommunication' but it will be $1600. And eventually I said okay because I want my drain to function (like every other homeowner). After they replace the pipe, the workers ask me for payment. I ask them why they won't patch the 2 ceilings they broke in order to access the pipe. Eventually Im back on the phone with the owner, he says they are not carpenters, only plumbers (which is a BS excuse). He said he never told me earlier he would repair any drywall. But now the part that REALLY got me angry was when he said 'I knew you would bring this up and that this would happen'. I was bewildered why he wouldnt discuss something beforehand that he knew would be an issue later. Combining this with his really bad excuse of 'miscommunication' on a very clear request to replace a pipe, I really have to warn others of this extremely dishonest plumber who tries to take advantage of other people in every way he can. Also the plumbers didnt bother caulking the toilet and asked me for a broom for cleanup, figures. edit: No one was held hostage. Regarding 'miscommunication' I asked owner to open the yelp request clearly detailing the exact pipe I requested to replace, he hung up. Then I call him again twice, he said are you paying, and before I could get 3 words in, he hung up. Me and the plumbers are standing there awkwardly for 30min because of an immature owner, and eventually had to work it out with his wife (his wife even apologized saying her husband was having a bad day). Speaking generally, if you think a customer is wrong and he is calmly trying to talk to you, you should calmly explain your side. Not yell on the phone and hang up abruptly. read more

They really saved us. We called early in the morning during this brutal heat because our AC was down. Have a newborn at home so getting it fixed fast was imperative. Danny and Adam were out here the same day and got the job done fast in a professional manner. Can't express how truly grateful I am for what they did. read more

Charged me over $500 to replace garbage disposal!!! Told me over the phone there was an assessment fee of $78 which would get applied to cost of work. Also said they would try to repair it first and replace if they couldn't. Made 0 attempt to repair. Only reason I didn't replace this myself with a $80 disposal from home depot was because I was selling the house and buyer required professional repair and installation with documentation. They knew this and jacked up the price because I was stuck. Also, THIS COMPANY RIGHTS FAULTY REVIEWS ON THUMBSTACK AS I SAW A REVEW THIS MORNING SUPPOSEDLY FROM ME!!!! I'm sure it will be deleted asap. NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY read more

I was having issues with my AC unit and furnace and found these guys online. My AC wasn't working well and the furnace was leaking in the basement. I called Josh and Stacy and within a few hours they had their technician out. He was quick, thorough and most importantly, he fixed the leak and serviced my system. The AC is now working better than ever and the price was very reasonable. I will be using them for future service calls and repairs for sure. read more

Excellent service! I called at 6PM on a Tuesday about a leaky hot water heater and by 6PM Wednesday I had a new one installed. Chris and his crew were very knowledgeable and placed a cover over my carpet to keep it clean when moving the heaters in and out. Thank you Stacy for organizing the appointment! read more

Josh and his crew did a great job diagnosing and fixing my complicated AC issue. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Josh and his crew are phenomenal. I found them through porch.com trying to find a solution for my cold kitchen. Josh came to my house within 48 hours to give me numerous options to solve the issues. What I especially liked was that Josh didn't talk "at" me, rather he educated me on the different solutions. After nearly two hours at my house, I scheduled the service for later that same week. JOsh's crew was professional, polite, informed, and VERY clean. I will absolutely keep his number in my speed-dial. read more

Had an issue with the main drain leaving the house. Company appropriately asked for more info about the situation before offering to come out. Appointment was scheduled for 10 am and the day before they called as asked if they could come earlier. Yes! Pete arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the situation, even finding an outside trap under a walkway rock that we didn't know existed (we have been in the house for 22 years). He quoted a fair price for the work that needed to get done (snaking a 60 to 80 foot length of drain) and worked cleanly and efficiently. Would definitely recommend and plan on working with with them again. read more

Josh was fantastic. Our water heater had gone out on a Saturday morning (of course) and he came out to diagnose it within hours. He gave me a great price for weekend emergency service, and even though we ended up going with our less-responsive home warranty company for the repair, he was friendly and helpful. As soon as our home warranty is up, Solution Based Plumbing and Heating gets our business. read more

Solution Based Plumbing installed a new toilet in my home about a year ago. They are sent me pictures and details on a few toilets that they recommended and made the whole process a lot less stressful than I thought it would. While they were there, the fixed another small problem I was having with my condensation line on my heater. I would highly recommend them for all your heating and plumbing needs. read more

When our kitchen contractors encountered a problem with opening the wall to our living room, Solution Based provided the solution, pun intended! They responded quickly, removing and relocating the plumbing from the upper floor to the basement. Their quick and thorough response allowed our kitchen project to stay on schedule and also allowed for the opening of the space to our living room, which made a significant difference in the final product. Great work! We'd highly recommend! read more

I had a 2 inch radiator pipe running across my ceiling which was previously enclosed with a soffit. I wanted the soffit gone as it dropped my ceiling down by 12 inches in the entire kitchen. Solution based plumbing came up with a solution and executed it perfectly. I highly recommend Josh and his crew for your plumbing/hvac issues. read more

Our furnace stopped working completely. No power was getting to the unit and we had no idea what was happening. Our home warranty company referred us to Josh at Solution Based Plumbing and Heating. From the minute I contacted them, they were attentive and professional. Josh was able to come to our home within 24 hours when other companies told us it would be 24 to 36 hours. Stacy coordinated our meeting times and Josh was prompt. They came and assessed our problem and gave the solution to our warranty company. Although the company required a second opinion, we were very pleased with the service we received from Solution Based P&H. The second opinion came in very similar to theirs. The only reason we didn't use them was because the other company could schedule us in for the repair sooner than Josh (it was a weekend). Although we didnt use them, Stacy called me and checked to see if everything went ok with the other company! Who does that!!!!! They are top notch! My score would be 5 stars if they had actually performed the work. read more
