The ranch and ride was so much fun, being outdoors with the beautiful horses. It was my first time riding- felt nervous but excited- and the team made me feel at ease. I received a mini walkthrough on how to guide the horse to go forward, stop, and turn. My guide was Matt who made my first visit (but not last!) great - told great stories, and shared about various animal/plant activity along the trail. Great activity for a birthday and the hour flew by. Be sure to buy the treats at the end bc the horses sooooo love those, and tip your guide! Such a memorable experience! Thank you!!

I missed the exit to turn into to get to the ranch, I may have missed the sign on the road, but my GPS eventually got me there, lol Upon arrival there's plenty of parking. The email has super specific instructions for your arrival. Including arriving 30 minutes before your ride time. I got there about 20 minutes beforehand and that was plenty of time. If you come with a group belive entire party has to be present to check in together. $68 bucks for a group ride rate per person. If you miss the email or forget all of the steps just look for the check in desk and they will go over everything. You must wear a helmet to ride, for your protection. And they offer free bandanas to protect your hair (and for sanitary reasons) from the helmet, that was nice. They match up the horse with each individual, I think based on height and weight. That takes about 15 min to get everyone matched and saddled up for the ride. The trail is covered by trees in the forrest, but it's still hot out in the elements, so be sure to hydrate before and after. Pro's -Quality time to get to know your horse before and after the ride - zero riding experience required, but does help -staff for most part friendly, willing to take pics for you in and off the horse - children, and special needs folks are welcome Cons - possible emergencies will cut your ride short - riding instruction only given to the front of the large group not the back - ride may not start on time, so give yourself extra cushion time if you make time sensitive plans after. Tip not required, bur encouraged. Overall a fun experience. But may do a private ride in future to get more detailed and intimate instructions. Enjoy!

Every time there has been a health incident with them, the vet is out there before I even get a call. The horses are managed properly and even the slightest issue is handled and taken care of before you can blink. If you're looking for a drama-free, casual environment with occasional showing but is mostly laid back, this is the place. I'm a student with a full-time job who can't come out very often right now and Stephanie and her staff are some of the few I trust to watch my accident-prone horses. I am extremely anal and a micro-manager about everything, and this place fits the bill.

They feed pellets or custom feeds upon request twice a day and coastal 3 times a day. The show barn is large and airy with concrete isles, humidity controlled tack room, large fans, mats, and fly sprayers. Indoor and outdoor arenas, 2 round pens, outdoor hunt course, dressage area, and ample riding areas. For preparing to show there are two hot and cold wash racks. The best thing about this facility is it doesn't FLOOD due to a large 20 acre pond next door. Horses are turned out 95% of the time due to the facility is one a grade which allows for exceptional drainage! While most barns where evacuating their horses during Hurricane Harvey the barn didn't experience any standing water. The owner transports horses to Waller if needed for the best veterinary care in the area if necessary or has 4 local veterinarians routinely visiting the barn to maintain care. She accepts mostly jumping and dressage horses but also have several quarter horses at the facility that want high end care for their horses. The barn has 24/7 access for owners, and she hauls boarders to local jumping shows and prepares them for their classes. You won't find a better facility in the area.

That made us feel comfortable even as first-time riders. The only area I think could be improved is having a small practice area for brand-new riders to learn the basics before heading out on the trail. Other than that, everything was amazing.
