They recently opened in the little red building where Slice Pizza used to be, so it's very convenient to walk there from the surrounding neighborhoods. We got there just as they were in the process of unloading the day's baked goods, so in my pictures the bread is not yet on the shelves, but you can see the variety of pastries that were already out. We got the ham and cheese croissant, the spinach feta croissant and the mixed berry pull-apart for something sweet. There were many more delicious items to try, so I will definitely be going back to get more! You can go inside the little storefront, or you can use the walk-up window. They sell a variety of coffee drinks too, and day-old pastries. Check their Facebook page for their hours, as they are very new and they can change! I ended up chatting with a few of the staff to hear about what items they enjoy here. Sometimes getting out and talking to strangers can be a great way to change your day around and maybe theirs. I haven't yet eaten the bolillo I purchased, but will be doing that in the next day or so. Bolillo is THE BEST bread for sandwiches (tortas or bocadillos, depending upon where you live). The donut, danish, and lemon pastry were FABULOUS! There is nothing wrong with any of these things, except that I should have purchased two of each instead of having control over myself. Flaky pastry, delicious flavors, and that pillowy donut are probably made in heaven. At least, that's what my mouth thinks. I literally cannot find anything negative to say. We only had a few minutes to spare and thought, why not, let's treat ourselves. Best decision. The banana bread was hands down the best I've EVER had. I'm not exaggerating when I say I now feel like I need this in my life at least once a week....which is slightly dangerous. The space itself was busy, but there was still plenty of seating, and so many pastries and drinks to choose from. We had someone meeting us who was a little worried about parking, but there's a separate entrance (away from the mall) and plenty of spots, which makes it super easy. I'll be honest, the service didn't wow me, but the quality of the food more than made up for it, so it's still a five star experience in my book. Just something to know going in.
